How Could I Possibly Have a Daughter After Reincarnating?

Chapter 120 : Ah♂

"Damn it~"

Yellow Hair touched the injury on his face, grimacing in pain. He hadn't expected his boss to hit him so hard, almost beating him to death.

Yesterday, he had only gone out to purchase supplies. He never expected to run into that woman who had once looked down on him. Without hesitation, he ordered the women in his group to distract her, allowing him and Er Gouzi to launch a successful sneak attack.

His plan had been to bring her back to the factory and "enjoy" her later. But, as luck would have it, the boss returned right as they got back. Not only did the meat slip from his mouth, but he also ended up with a brutal beating. Yellow Hair couldn't help but wonder what he had done to deserve such bad luck.

"Could you keep it down? If the boss hears you, you're in for it again." Er Gouzi sighed helplessly. He had warned Yellow Hair before the attack, but Yellow Hair wouldn't listen. Now, he was facing the consequences.

"No way! I just can't let it go."

"What are you looking at? The key to the door is with the boss. Go get it from him if you're so brave," Er Gouzi scoffed, giving Yellow Hair a look. The guy hadn't even healed yet and was already asking for more trouble.

Hearing Er Gouzi's words, Yellow Hair shrank back. He wasn't about to confront the boss again.

"Just stay here and rest. I'm going out for a smoke."

Er Gouzi shook his head, then turned and slowly walked out of the factory. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes labeled "Blissful Land" and began to smoke.

For some reason, his thoughts drifted back to the girl who sold salted fish in his hometown. Every time he passed her shop, she'd call out sweetly, "Gouzi Oppa," and sometimes she'd even gift him two old salted fish. Compared to the city girls, she was nothing special, but for some reason, Er Gouzi found himself missing her terribly.

"Damn it, there's still no signal in this damn place!"

Er Gouzi took out his phone. He wanted to call the salted fish girl, ask her how she was, but the signal was still dead as usual. It had been so long since he'd last called her.

"After this deal, I'm going back home to propose to her," Er Gouzi thought to himself.

"Huh!?"

Suddenly, Er Gouzi noticed that the two guards, Xiao Jia and Xiao Yi, were no longer at their posts. He glanced at the time—sure enough, it was supposed to be their shift. But where were they? Could they have snuck off again?

It was then that Er Gouzi saw them lying in the corner, as still as corpses. Just as he opened his mouth to shout, he felt a hand clamp over it. And then, everything went black.

Li Si looked at Er Gouzi, now unconscious on the ground, and sighed. He had planned to interrogate the man for information, but out of reflex, he had knocked him out instead.

Just as Li Si finished dealing with Er Gouzi's "corpse," another voice called out.

"Er Gouzi, give me a cigarette."

It was Yellow Hair. After Er Gouzi left, Yellow Hair's craving for a cigarette became unbearable. He had run out, so he dragged his battered body to the entrance, hoping to bum one from Er Gouzi.

"Er Gouzi? Where'd you go?"

Yellow Hair looked around, puzzled. He was sure Er Gouzi had just come out—had he gone somewhere to hide?

As Yellow Hair moved to search further, a shadow appeared behind him, and before he could react, everything went black.

Li Si looked at Yellow Hair on the ground, exasperated. He just couldn't control himself—again. With a resigned shake of his head, he dragged Yellow Hair's "corpse" to the side, tied up his hands, and covered him with a ragged cloth.

No sooner had he dealt with Yellow Hair when, by coincidence or fate, someone else emerged from the factory.

"Damn it! Even going to the toilet means I have to head outside—what a pain."

"Ah♂"

"How long does it take to use the bathroom, anyway?"

"Ah♂"

"Where is everyone?"

"Ah♂"

Half an hour later, Li Si looked at the pile of "corpses" in the corner, his expression strange. The heap consisted of both men and women, all of whom had come out one after another, like the seven brothers trying to rescue their grandfather.

Li Si estimated that there were now about a dozen of them. Even if there were still people inside the factory, there couldn't be many left. But just to be cautious, he waited outside a little longer. Sure enough, it wasn't long before he heard footsteps again.

A tall, muscular figure appeared at the factory entrance. Initially, Li Si planned to handle him just like the others, but as he prepared to move, he felt an overwhelming sense of danger—a chill running down his spine.

Without hesitation, Li Si withdrew to his hiding place.

"So that's why there's no one around—it looks like a little rat has snuck in."

The bald, scarred man had stepped out of the factory and instantly spotted Li Si hiding nearby.

Seeing that familiar bald head and the terrifying scar, Li Si's pupils contracted, and he gritted his teeth, shouting, "Cao Jun!"

Cao Jun raised an eyebrow, squinting at Li Si before a realization dawned on him. "No wonder I had this familiar feeling~ Turns out it's you."

Cao Jun glanced at the pile of unconscious bodies beside him and remarked, "Looks like you haven't forgotten everything I taught you. Xiao Si~"

"Shut up! Don't call me by that name! And my master is dead," Li Si said coldly.

"Oh dear, is that any way to speak to your master?" Cao Jun replied indifferently.

Li Si frowned. The situation was growing troublesome. To put it bluntly, he had no confidence he could defeat Cao Jun—after all, most of what he knew, he had learned from this man.

"So, Xiao Si. How about you join me again and make some real money?"

Cao Jun extended a hand. He had always admired his disciple. No matter what skill he taught him, Li Si picked it up with ease, and his quick thinking only made him even more valuable.

"Get lost!"

A simple, curt response—Li Si had made his position abundantly clear.
