Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer

Chapter 415 - 352: woke up

After a while, Aurianna finally woke up. She slowly opened her beautiful eyes and looked around, only to realize she was in a familiar room, the same room she stayed in as a student of the Mystical Academy.

She abruptly sat up and quickly looked around at the familiar environment before suddenly clutching her head once again, countless voices ringing inside her mind. Different kinds of voices echoed endlessly, causing her to instinctively curl her body up in pain.

After several painful minutes, the sickening headache finally stopped, allowing her to slowly let go of her head.

She got up and walked toward the mirror in her room. She looked the same as always with her long white hair, her beautiful white eyes, and delicate features similar to her sister Leila apart from chest size she was still lacking which made her annoyed but it was bigger than before.

There was not much difference about her appearance, but her skin looked far smoother and clearer than before. And she could clearly feel that her power had increased by a massive margin.

"I’m probably a primordial human by now," Aurianna muttered to herself while staring at her reflection. "I somehow look even cuter too."

She couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

"I wonder how long I’ve been asleep for," Aurianna wondered aloud as she gently cupped her face.

"But then thinking about everything that happened before I went into evolution is honestly so embarrassing," Aurianna sighed heavily.

After all, she was technically the reason those people had attacked the planet and why everything ended up being destroyed.

However, it would be a lie if she tried to pretend she did not care at all.

Because at the end of the day, she was still partly responsible for what happened, and because of that, the lives of her friends had been placed in danger.

If Aurianna had never existed on the planet, the other versions of herself would have never attacked and they would have never invaded their world. And far more people would still be alive.

"And I wonder what is happening now," Aurianna muttered quietly.

After all, she had gone into evolution, so she had absolutely no idea what had happened while she was asleep.

A sudden pain appeared in her chest.

Frowning slightly, Aurianna looked toward the mirror and slowly pulled down part of her dress, revealing black lines spreading from her chest. There were noticeably more of them now than before, and the sight immediately made her nervous.

She remembered seeing those same black lines appear on the former White Gemaris before she eventually went mad.

Aurianna quickly shook her head.

"No... it won’t happen to me. I’m different," she told herself in an obviously gaslighting tone.

Not wanting to think about it any longer, she quickly left her room and headed downstairs.

As soon as she arrived, she saw everyone gathered there: Peter, Elena, Kiana, Zorian, Shuwi, Zeche, Batholem, Juvin, and Christopher.

The moment Elena noticed her, her face instantly brightened and she rushed toward Aurianna before tightly hugging her.

"Aurianna, you’re finally awake!" Elena exclaimed happily as she rubbed her face affectionately against Aurianna’s cheek. "Are you alright?" Elena asked worriedly while carefully staring at her.

"Looking at my face, do I really look sick?" Aurianna asked with a small amused smile.

"Nope, you look perfectly fine to me, and I’m really glad about that," Elena replied with a bright smile, showing off her pearly white teeth.

"How have you guys been, by the way?" Aurianna asked while gently patting Elena on the head as she looked toward the others.

"We’ve been fine so far," Peter stated calmly as he walked up to her and also patted her on the head.

"Why are you patting me on the head?" Aurianna asked suspiciously while staring directly at Peter.

"It’s nothing. I’m just glad you’re alright. For the first time in my life, I felt completely useless during the fight against those strange people who attacked the planet," Peter admitted quietly.

The room immediately fell silent.

Peter clenched his fist tightly as frustration flashed across his face.

’Oh... so their memories were altered too,’ Aurianna thought silently.

"Why so?" Aurianna asked carefully.

’They probably think they were attacked by random enemies and not specifically by those that look like me,’ she thought while staring at them quietly. ’That’s good. I think Ragna handled things properly.’

"Hm? What do you mean? Oh, you mean when those people came to attack me? Honestly, I still don’t completely understand everything that happened apart from the fact people came after me and the rest of the world got dragged into chaos. So could you guys explain everything to me?" Aurianna asked while pretending to be confused.

Peter’s eyes flickered slightly for a brief moment, but he ultimately remained silent before continuing.

"So I think Batholem can explain things better since his family has been helping manage everything happening around the world," Peter stated calmly.

"Yeah, that’s true," Batholem nodded.

"From the information gathered so far, around two months ago a group of people suddenly appeared and attacked the entire world. Each of them went to different continents, creating monsters everywhere. None of this matched the prediction made by the God of Time, Barbados. The High God’s prophecy regarding the monster flood never mentioned anything like this happening at all. So this entire situation became an unexpected disaster where multiple worlds and planets were merged together into one massive planet," Batholem explained calmly before continuing.

"Monsters started appearing everywhere, people were dying constantly, and entire cities collapsed under the monster floods. Right now, the schools have been dispatching teams to help refugees from the newly merged world, eliminate monsters, and help secure and rebuild villages, towns, and cities. Since countless old cities were destroyed, the world itself has become much larger than before. And during the world summit, it was decided that because this was technically their world first, they had the responsibility of protecting and helping all the people whose worlds merged together with Deirion."

"Oh... I see. I think I understand now," Aurianna replied quietly while fidgeting slightly after hearing Batholem’s explanation.

"So let me guess, you guys are probably forming teams to handle these situations, rescue survivors, and build shelters for people. Am I right?" Aurianna asked as she sat down on the couch while Elena immediately sat beside her.

Everyone nodded calmly.

"Alright then, that makes sense. So I guess we’re still a team?" Aurianna asked cautiously.

"Of course. Why wouldn’t you still be part of our team?" Elena asked while pouting.
