Chapter 409 - 346: Iris Puppet
"Well, since you guys lost, get ready for the rebirth of a new world, Gothiel. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to take care of you. After all, your Aurianna has lost," Bomb stated with a cold smile.
’I don’t wanna die, I don’t wanna die, I don’t wanna die...’ Aurianna repeated desperately in her mind as she felt herself losing her sense of self. ’System, where are you? Please... where are you?!’
[How dare you!!] Jenus yelled as the screen appeared before One.
"What business does an old-generation Gemaris have lecturing me?" One asked mockingly.
Inside his personal space, Jenus watched nervously as several white pillars crashed down onto every continent of the newly merged world. "If I don’t do something, Iris will go berserk. No matter what, the two sisters can’t become the new core of those planets!" he muttered to himself. But he had no idea how to intervene. One had already caught him earlier, so even if he wanted to reach Aurianna and Leila, he couldn’t.
However, One suddenly noticed several unfamiliar mouths appearing in the sky, which immediately sent him into a panic. Seeing his expression, 7892 tried slashing them all, but they kept regenerating. Then, a loud cry rang out from them.
"Big sister Iris!!!!! I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" Aurianna’s voice echoed across her planet and Leila’s planet.
"It hurts, it hurts, big sister!!" she continued to scream.
’How?? I cut off her ability to use any spells. This shouldn’t be possible,’ One thought, growing nervous.
Reluctantly, he looked up at the sky. There it was a massive eye with a purple pupil and a black skull inside its iris. It was Iris.
And what everyone felt in that moment... was true fear.
The pillar trapping Aurianna immediately crumbled, and she began to fall, but a hand caught her.
"Oh, my baby sister... who did this to you?" Iris asked softly. Her entire body was pitch black, looking more like a puppet than her actual form. She waved her hand, but nothing happened to Aurianna. The same occurred with her puppet beside Leila. Both puppets scowled in frustration.
"Just read my memories, big sister. Those people bullied me. They ganged up on me, wanting to turn me into a core for a planet and use me as a hostage against you," the mouth in the sky spoke.
"You should have called me earlier," Iris said.
"But... I wanted to fight them myself and see how much I had improved," Aurianna replied. "Also... is Leila okay?" she asked.
"Yes, she’s fine. Iris has another puppet with her," she answered with a gentle smile, patting Aurianna on the head.
"That is a puppet... and it has this much power?" One blurted out, his voice shaky his entire body was screaming for him to run away but no matter how much he tried he couldn’t move an inch.
"Time!" he shouted, but nothing happened. ’What is going on?’ he wondered.
"Oh my, are you wondering about this cute little thing?" Iris asked, holding up a small orb and it was Time. "Iris won’t kill her. She still has some uses. However, the rest of you..." Her expression darkened. "Did you really think you could pull something like this off without me knowing? I simply allowed you children to play because I didn’t have the proper means to deal with you before. But now I do. And you’re all dead."
She grinned. "But I’m gracious, so I’ll give the Auriannas some options. Submit and become my little sister’s weapon, or die and have your souls devoured. And no, I’m not talking about the weak ones below rank four. All of you are dying."
Iris snapped her fingers. A black spike shot out from the sky, piercing the hearts of every Aurianna except the top four. Screams filled the air before they turned into pillars of light, their gem hearts floating toward Iris.
’How did she get here so easily?’ One thought, his entire body trembling. ’I made sure to use dimension travelling restriction spells, so she shouldn’t have been able to come here. How?? How??? I thought this time it will be different. But this monsters seems to always ruin my plans!’ he thought angrily whiles galring viciously at Iris.
"But first, let’s heal your body, dear sister."
Iris hovered her hand over Aurianna. A bright, beautiful purple light enveloped her, stopping all the bleeding.
"This will be difficult to heal..." Iris murmured. She had intended to fully regenerate her sister’s body parts, but the damage was too severe.
"Who the hell cut you up like this?" Iris asked, her mouth twisting with anger.
"It was that 7892 girl and the guy called One. They ganged up on me along with the other Auriannas and did this," Aurianna replied in a rough voice. She was still speaking through the mouth in the sky since her actual mouth and throat hadn’t healed properly.
"Iris understands." Her gaze turned ice-cold as she stared at them. She then placed her glowing purple hand around Aurianna’s neck, fully healing her mouth and throat. However, her magic in the puppet wasn’t strong enough to restore her whole body. If she had come with her main body, healing Aurianna and Leila would have been easy, however, the world itself would collapse from the intensity of her power.
Even with a mere small percentage of her power in a puppet, the effect was overwhelming. All across the world, Sacreds, Saintesses, and countless others had fainted on the spot, even those whom were watching the fight also fainted and even the monsters lost consciousness.
The only ones still awake were Aurianna, Penma, Ragna, Bomb, One, and 7892. Aurianna’s friends had also collapsed. And the mouths in the sky disappeared as well.
Small crystal hearts the size of beads identical to the ones from the Auriannas Iris had just killed appeared in her palm.
She began feeding them to Aurianna.
Swallowing them was easy because of theirsize, she has obviously shrunk them, but chewing was difficult. Aurianna on the other hand no idea what she was eating, after all Iris hasn’t healed her eyes yet.
"So what are you feeding me, sister? It’s making my body feel weird," Aurianna asked after swallowing the first batch.
"They’re the hearts of the other Auriannas I killed," Iris replied calmly. "It should be enough to force your evolution and restore your body. Though you might enter a full evolution state for the next two to four months."
’Sometimes I forget how scary my sister is...’ Aurianna thought. ’It’s understandable why the other me’s were so desperate to survive... but they deserve it for jumping me!’
"So sister, how many of me have you exactly killed and fed me?" Aurianna asked curiously.
"Probably over two hundred thousand. However, I’ve only fed you two hundred in the past few minutes. It’s good that you chew fast. You just need to eat a hundred more to trigger the evolution. I’ll leave the rest in your inventory for you to consume gradually," Iris said calmly. "Don’t worry. Iris will never harm you." She gave a reassuring smile and gently patted Aurianna on the head.
