Invincible through Touching Corpses

At Lin Xinghai’s words, the members of the Morgan Conglomerate instantly went on high alert.

This was the intimidating presence Lin Xinghai had built by killing three Blood Qi Realm experts. It was no surprise that the Morgan Conglomerate reacted this way.

However, as Lin Xinghai merged into the Three Major Mercenary Corps’ formation and began to lead the charge, the Morgan Conglomerate’s mechas still steeled themselves and advanced to meet them.

After all, as much as they feared Lin Xinghai, they also feared the Morgan Conglomerate backing them.

The two sides clashed once more. To the Morgan Conglomerate’s surprise, Lin Xinghai didn’t unleash another one of his terrifying lightning attacks.

But the joy on their faces froze in an instant.

Wielding his incredible Speed, Lin Xinghai struck before the intercepting mecha could even react, piercing it with his spear.

With a screech of metal on metal, Mjolnir pierced the enemy mecha’s shoulder.

The pilot inside, listening to the blaring alarms as the diagnostic system frantically listed damaged modules, felt his blood run cold.

His opponent had caused severe damage to his mecha with a single strike, completely disabling its right arm.

Though not as terrifying as the initial Thunderbolt attack, this level of Attack Power was still far beyond what any other mecha could produce.

Even someone like Fang Tianhe, with his highly aggressive Heaven-Sundering Superpower, couldn’t pierce a mecha’s armor with a single strike like Lin Xinghai.

Lin Xinghai was able to do this for three reasons.

First, Mjolnir itself was far sharper than any other weapon.

Second, although he possessed a Speed-type Superpower, he could convert that Speed into terrifying impact force when he attacked, producing an effect on par with Rare Level attack-type Superpowers.

Of course, these two factors alone wouldn’t have been enough for Lin Xinghai to cripple a mecha in a single, exaggerated blow. However, it was a completely different story since his opponent had already been through a fierce battle and its outer armor was damaged.

This was the weakened state Lin Xinghai needed.

His strike had followed a crack on the opponent’s left shoulder, allowing it to penetrate so smoothly.

The enemy mecha had six such cracks in total.

SHUNK! SHUNK!

Taking advantage of his superior Speed, Lin Xinghai landed two more consecutive strikes.

The pilot did everything in his power to dodge and block, but the difference in Speed between him and Lin Xinghai was simply too vast. All his struggles were in vain. Soon, two more locations were pierced, and the mecha’s internal systems were severely damaged.

The pilot’s face was now ashen. With severe damage in three separate locations, the mecha’s mobility had plummeted by ninety percent.

Just as he thought he was about to die, he was stunned to see that Lin Xinghai was gone as quickly as he had appeared. After unleashing a flurry of three attacks, Lin Xinghai vaulted over him and continued to lead the charge.

’Did he spare me?’ The thought surfaced in the pilot’s mind, but he soon realized with despair that he had been mistaken.

Lin Xinghai had indeed passed him, but right behind was the main force of the Three Major Mercenary Corps.

The next moment, the pilot saw a Great Saber wreathed in an inky black light and a Giant Axe radiating a blood-red aura swing at him in unison.

The combined attack of Fang Tianhe’s Heaven-Sundering Superpower and Song Yao’s Blood Qi Power tore the cockpit open, killing the pilot inside instantly.

It takes a while to describe, but it all happened in just two or three seconds. To an observer, it looked as if Lin Xinghai had simply encountered an intercepting mecha, landed three quick strikes, and then Fang Tianhe and Song Yao followed up to finish it off.

Although the mecha’s destruction was the result of a three-on-one attack, the impact on the Morgan Conglomerate forces was even more profound.

Mjolnir’s Thunder Power attack couldn’t be used again so soon, but this was Lin Xinghai’s conventional attack—one he could use over and over again. In other words, he could endlessly reap their lives.

’We can’t stop him!’

The thought suddenly surfaced in everyone’s mind, even Cobra’s, who had been concealing his true strength.

Although he was a Blood Qi Realm expert, that gave him no particular advantage in piloting a mecha. His only edge was the ability to use Blood Qi Power.

But he instantly determined that he wouldn’t be able to completely block Lin Xinghai’s attacks, even with his Blood Qi Power.

’In a one-on-one fight, if I use my Superpower to transform into a Cobra, reinforce my mecha’s Defense Power with scales, and add my Blood Qi Power on top of that, I might be able to hold Lin Xinghai off for a minute.’

’But the problem is, with Lin Xinghai’s mobility, I could never tie him down.’

’On the other hand, if I get tied up by Song Yao, that other Blood Qi Realm expert, and Lin Xinghai attacks me from the side... I don’t even dare to imagine the consequences.’

’I wouldn’t last more than ten seconds. And even if I could, I’m not willing to risk my life just to slow them down!’

’After all, I only joined the Morgan Conglomerate for the money.’

If Cobra, a Blood Qi Realm expert, was thinking this way, one could only imagine what was going through the minds of the others.

With this mentality spreading among the pilots, the mechas subconsciously retreated or parted to let Lin Xinghai pass as he advanced.

Of course, with the Morgan Conglomerate looming over them, they didn’t dare do nothing. So, they still chose to intercept—not Lin Xinghai, but the mecha squadron following him.

They had only been able to intercept the Three Major Mercenary Corps before by relying on a tight Defense Array. But now, by actively avoiding Lin Xinghai, they had essentially opened a hole in their line.

The mechas behind him only needed to follow closely in his wake to easily tear through the Morgan Conglomerate’s defensive line.

The Armored Vehicles following the mechas knew this was the critical moment. They pushed forward desperately, speeding past the Morgan Conglomerate’s intercepting forces under the cover of their own mechas.

Naturally, the Morgan Conglomerate’s forces were desperately trying to obstruct and attack during this process, so it was the Three Major Mercenary Corps’ turn to provide defense and cover.

There was one exception, however: Lin Xinghai. After breaking through the enemy formation, he immediately wheeled around and charged back in. Relying on his completely overwhelming Speed, he launched relentless attacks, striking terror into the hearts of all the Morgan Conglomerate’s pilots.

The Morgan Conglomerate forces could only switch from attacking to defending, but even so, Lin Xinghai found opportunities to destroy three more mechas.

In the end, the Three Major Mercenary Corps successfully broke through the blockade before the enemy’s flanking forces could arrive to encircle them.
