Chapter 436 - 333: World Rules (2)
So Lynn followed the path and soon found the second "Living World."
This world was "set up" in a manner extremely similar to the Miracle World, but the only difference was that it was far more powerful than the Miracle World.
Lynn merely swept through with his Divine Thought from outside the World Wall and discovered no fewer than five Near Gods active in this world. Moreover, the number of demigod-level beings was at least equal to the combined count of three out of the five major races in the Demon Realm.
However, Lynn tried various attempts outside this world as well, yielding no different results than before—all to no avail.
Then came the third world, the fourth world, the fifth world, the sixth world...
The True God navigated the Lower Realm like the wind, but exploring so many worlds still cost Lynn a substantial amount of time.
While his initial plan to journey through All Realms was completed, although he didn’t enter a single "door," you could still say he traveled!
After spending so much time and trying countless methods, Lynn ultimately summarized a few points:
First, the world rules cannot be violated.
Second, the worlds outside vary in strength.
Third, all worlds are highly similar; they are either replicas of the Miracle World, enhanced versions, or reduced versions.
There was no tech world, no future world, no martial arts world, no exotic beast world, no fantasy world, and not even a primitive world.
And no... Demon Realm!
Lynn initially thought the Human Race was the king of many worlds, supposedly a powerful cosmic race. Perhaps it is indeed true, but compared to the unique Demon Race, the ubiquitous Human Race seemed quite ordinary.
Lynn did not endlessly explore the worlds outside; his data may not support an indisputable conclusion. But merely looking at the nearly hundred Great Worlds he swept through, it appears the Demon Realm is indeed the most unique existence.
Under Lynn’s "Celestial-Human Communication," he even suspected that all other worlds were mere nutrients for the Demon Realm. They existed seemingly to be conquered or destroyed by the Demon Race.
The same goes for the Divine Realm; the copy-paste-like "plagiarized" worlds, slightly modified by AI, have highly similar deities worshipped in various worlds.
Only the Miracle World might be the original being copied and pasted, directly associated with the Divine Realm. Historically, there are records of eight Ancient Gods who were active in the Miracle World. In contrast, the history books in other worlds, upon scanning, were filled with praises of rulers and citizens for miracles.
Lynn vaguely sensed he might have discovered an unspeakable secret, but he hadn’t explored the entire universe. Therefore, coming to such a realization all at once seemed rather premature.
He really wished to roam more and observe more, constantly adding weight to his guesses. However, in the void, years are hard to know, and to avoid becoming so engrossed in world exploration that he forgot to return home early, leading to a situation where his wives were old and his children all grown upon going back, he set a "clock" for himself before departing.
And this clock had already rung, indicating he had been out for a month.
If it weren’t for him being a True God of the Lower Realm, for whom crossing space was as simple as eating and drinking, this amount of time would only suffice for a Near God to cover less than one percent of his current journey. Moreover, an average Near God might take equally long to return.
Lynn, however, was different. He had the Demon Mirror for pinpoint teleportation; going out required walking, but going back was a one-click task.
After being out for such a long time, the specific gains might not be there, but to say nothing was gained at all seemed to be a bit...
In any case, it was time to return. Lynn had no hesitations or attachments, took out his Demon Mirror, and crossed over to the number his Demon King wives had set in a safe place.
The next second, Lynn landed in a secret chamber somewhere within the Demon Emperor Palace. He swept the room, and no phantoms were inside, but there were three Demon King wives in the Demon Emperor Palace.
The Sloth Demon King Hill was soundly asleep in his bedroom.
The Lust Demon King Phantom was visiting the Enchanting Demon sisters.
And the Greed Demon King Liss was walking towards him.
The Demon Mirror used by Lynn for location was Liss’s piece; she seemed to have sensed her Demon Mirror being activated.
Seeing Liss coming his way, Lynn didn’t wait for her to find him; he turned around, and he and Liss simultaneously appeared in the Demon Emperor’s Bedroom.
Someone suddenly entered the room; familiarity probably alerted Hill, but her nose lightly twitched upon detecting the familiar scent, and she turned over to continue sleeping.
Lynn couldn’t quite determine if Hill was sufficiently vigilant or completely unwary; is familiarity with someone—or some demon—equals to safety? Haven’t seen palace intrigues, have you?
Alright, maybe she’s never seen them. The seven Demon King sisters have deeper feelings for each other than they have for him. There wouldn’t be jealousy or inner conflict fights over him.
"Back so soon? How many good things did you find?"
True to her greedy nature, the first question Liss asked upon seeing Lynn wasn’t about any longing for him, but what treasures he had acquired.
As for whether he was hurt outside or returned safely, Liss appeared unconcerned.
It’s not that she didn’t care about Lynn’s safety, mainly because there was nothing in the Lower Realm that could threaten a True God, the Demon Race being far more knowledgeable than the people of the Miracle World, with their understanding of the outside worlds being at least a hundred or thousand times more.
"Speaking of treasures, I didn’t find a single one, but I did bring a major treasure back."
Lynn knew what would most entice the Greed Demon King, but this time, he returned without obtaining anything tangible and didn’t even have anything to fool Liss into embracing him.
"Who’s interested in your treasure from your own family? There’s originally a share for me. I want Otherworld treasures. You haven’t really fallen off, have you? Before the Demon Dragon Emperor insisted on confronting the Miracle World, he would occasionally bring back one or two items."
Liss said, pouting her small lips, her pretty face full of dissatisfaction from not receiving a gift, while her stretched-out hand remained open, clearly determined not to relent without a gift.
"Perhaps it’s not about falling off, it’s about being overpowered. The world rules didn’t allow me to break through the World Wall..."
Lynn truthfully explained the issue, then offered Liss a bracelet from his private collection. The bracelet’s usage level wasn’t high, its grade was only semi-divine, but its design was excellent. Not only would it please a girl, but it’s also enough to be an art piece.
So when Lynn gently placed the bracelet in Liss’s open hand, the Greed Demon King’s passive was instantly triggered. With lightning speed, she pulled her hand back, and before Lynn could react, the bracelet was already on Liss’s wrist.
Well done...
This hand speed would make a True God pause for a second. If you had such speed when launching attacks, even Ilya would call you ’sister’ upon seeing you.
"You do have a conscience. This bracelet is beautiful and complements my complexion nicely."
Joyfully, Liss raised her hand to admire it repeatedly, liking it more and more. Although her greedy demon nature favored valuable single treasures less than lavish wealth, considering it was given by Lynn, it somehow seemed to carry extra value.
"Actually, this bracelet glows in the dark. You can’t see much like this; come, let’s get into the bedding for a good look."
Having unwittingly abstained for a month outside, Lynn’s mouth felt bland and flavorless. Now observing Liss’s delightful and charming appearance, he couldn’t help but find his appetite growing.
After all, she was indeed his wife, making anything they did perfectly reasonable, so he didn’t bother pretending any longer.
