Chapter 145 -: 144 Is it impossible to kill him?[1]
"Hehehehe..."
A creepy little giggle slipped out of Tiny Elizabeth as she stared at the dull, rusted sword in Rosalina’s hand.
Her big red eyes sparkled with mischief.
"You sure know your game, huh?" she said, sounding impressed.
"Honestly, I would have picked the same thing. This ugly old sword is perfect. The cuts it makes will sting for days and days."
"And if they don’t treat it right... hehe... they might even get a really nasty infection. The kind that needs super strong healing spells to fix!"
Rosalina gave her a wicked grin. Without meaning to, their smiles matched perfectly.
In that moment, the tall beauty and the tiny Elizabeth looked strangely alike, both with the same naughty sparkle in their eyes.
"I think you and I could be friends," Tiny Elizabeth said sweetly.
She reached out her small, soft hands and gently patted Julius’s cheek, like a proud little mother.
"Hehehe..." Rosalina let out her own creepy giggle, her voice light and playful.
"You think so?"
Her gaze shifted and locked onto Crypian and Alia in the distance.
They weren’t far from the gate now.
Crypian had already pulled out that square key and was fiddling with it, trying to open the door fast.
"Alrighty~ The little rats are trying to run away!"
Rosalina said in a sing-song voice.
She bent her waist a little, getting ready to dash. Then she glanced back at Tiny Elizabeth and gave her a quick wink.
"Take care of him!"
"Whoosh!"
In the blink of an eye, Rosalina vanished from the spot, leaving only a faint trail of mana in the air.
"Good good~" Tiny Elizabeth let out another sneaky giggle while mumbling to herself, clearly having the time of her life.
She looked in the direction Rosalina had gone and shouted in her cutest, loudest voice,
"Make sure to torture them real good!!!"
She added one more playful giggle, then turned back to Julius.
Her angry face melted away completely.
Now she looked soft and caring, just like a real mom.
With gentle little hands, she carefully wiped the sweat from his face and neck.
"There, there... My handsome boy is going to be just fine," she whispered softly, brushing his hair with her tiny fingers.
"That mean lady will take care of the bad guys for us. You just rest now, okay?"
As Tiny Elizabeth gently wiped the sweat from Julius’s face, Rosalina suddenly appeared right in front of Crypian and Alia.
The moment she showed up, a nasty grin spread across her face under the mask.
They couldn’t see the grin because of the mask, but they could *feel* it.
It was like someone dumped a whole bucket of ice-cold water over their heads.
Both of them froze in place.
Their faces turned pale with fear, their knees went weak, and they dropped straight to the ground, looking completely defeated.
"How useless!" Rosalina snorted.
She landed lightly a few steps away from them. Her eyes were full of pure contempt.
"To think it would take you forever just to run two hundred meters."
She let out another cold snort. "Pathetic!"
They had run the whole way without using any movement spells.
Rosalina knew exactly why. This trash had been relying on his system ever since he regressed from his first life.
She couldn’t help but look down on them.
He used to know good movement spells from his past life, but he had forgotten them because the skills from his system were much stronger.
Now that the system had suddenly shut down for some reason, he was completely helpless.
"Please... spare us..." Alia finally managed to speak, her eyes wide with terror. "What did we do to deserve this...?"
Rosalina raised one eyebrow. "What did you do?" Her voice turned ice cold.
"You just tried to take my most precious person away from me!"
She growled like a hungry beast ready to devour them.
"B-but you were the ones who tried to kill us first!" Crypian stammered. He took one shaky step backward.
The moment those words left his mouth, veins popped out on Rosalina’s forehead. Irritation filled her eyes.
She spat on the ground in disgust.
Just looking at him made her so angry it was hard to describe.
But she didn’t bother answering.
Instead, she looked behind them, back toward where she had appeared.
There, the Love Guardian was still struggling to lift his heavy body off the ground, the spears still pinning him down.
Rosalina’s eyes suddenly shone with bright mischief.
She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted in a loud, mocking voice,
"Oi, Pimp!!"
The moment Rosalina’s loud voice echoed across the hall, the Love Guardian whipped his head toward her.
His eyes were spitting fire with pure rage as he growled nonstop, still struggling hard to break free from the spears pinning him down.
"I will let you see the scene," Rosalina said with a wicked smile.
Her sharp gaze locked onto both Crypian and Alia. Slowly, she lifted the rusty old sword high. "I will torture..."
"Cough! Cough! Cough!"
She had tried to dramatically lick the side of the sword for extra scary vibe, but the thick rust made her break into a messy coughing fit instead.
"Wait..." She quickly lifted her free hand, making a stop sign, while still coughing.
"Cough! Cough! Cough!"
She coughed for several long seconds, her face turning a little red.
Finally, she cleared her throat with a loud "Ahem!" and continued as if nothing had happened.
"So, what I was saying is..." She raised her voice and lifted the sword at the same time.
In a super mocking tone, she declared, "Watch me kill your pure love!"
"Whoosh!"
With that, she vanished again in a flash and reappeared right in front of Crypian and Alia.
She raised the dull, rusty sword high above her head.
"Bwahaha-hahaha!!! DIE!!!" she shouted like a wild, hungry beast ready to pounce.
From a distance, the Love Guardian watched everything helplessly.
He felt so weak and useless right now that he could only roar out loud in despair.
"No!!!!"
Creak!
Just as Rosalina’s sword was about to cleave them in two, a sudden loud creaking sound echoed from below.
Rosalina paused her sword mid-swing. She looked down curiously.
"Huh?"
