Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!

Chapter 142 -: 141 Shocking change!

The sound of metal crashing echoed through the ruined hall again and again.

Each hit landed heavier than the last, like someone was hammering a coffin shut for good.

Crypian stood frozen for a second, eyes fixed on the fight.

The Love Guardian looked pathetic now. His armor was bent in weird places it was never meant to bend.

Every step he took was slower, shakier.

Rosalina swung the war hammer again and the big guardian stumbled sideways like a drunk man.

His huge sword barely stayed in his trembling hands.

’He’s not going to last another five minutes,’ Crypian thought.

He turned to Alia, his face turning dead serious. "Listen carefully," he said in a low voice.

"At this rate, we are going to die. We need to do something right now."

Alia stared at him with wide, anxious eyes. Her hands were shaking.

"But how?" she whispered. Her voice cracked with fear.

"These two are way out of our league. They are still in the early stages of the conversation stage, yet they are beating the Love Guardian like he’s a piece of old scrap metal. How are we supposed to fight monsters like them?"

Her eyes shook with visible terror.

She was usually brave, braver than most people, but right now she looked completely scared.

Every time Rosalina smashed the hammer into the guardian’s joints or Julius swung his mace like he wanted to flatten the entire world, Alia felt her stomach twist.

One solid hit from either of them and both she and Crypian would turn into red paste on the floor.

She couldn’t even imagine how strong they really were. It was terrifying.

Crypian gave her a confident smile that looked a little too fake.

"When there is a will, there is a way," he said, trying to sound wise.

"We just need to distract them. That’s all. If we create even a small opening, the Love Guardian might get lucky and seriously injure, or even kill, one of them. Then we win!"

He stepped closer to her, his voice dropping even lower.

"Look over there," he said, pointing carefully at the big stone door a few hundred meters away.

It was the entrance to the 11th floor.

So close, yet it felt like it was on the other side of the world right now.

"If we can somehow reach that door, we can escape to the next floor. But we can’t just run."

"The moment we move without a plan, those two masked freaks will notice us and finish us off with one spell."

He paused, then looked straight into her eyes. "First, we will use that spell... the one the Dean taught us."

Alia’s mouth fell open in shock. "That spell? You don’t mean..."

"Yes," Crypian nodded quickly. He grabbed her hand gently but firmly.

"They are busy right now. They think the Love Guardian is the bigger threat, so they won’t look at us as long as we don’t attack them directly."

"The Dean’s spell is very secretive. If we use it right, it will give the Love Guardian a real chance to hit them hard."

Alia’s face turned even more anxious.

Her eyebrows pulled together tightly and fresh tears welled up in her eyes.

"But... what if they see us casting it?"

"They won’t," Crypian interrupted, sounding sure of himself.

"The Dean’s spell is made exactly for situations like this. It hides us while we cast it. We just need to use it on both of them at the same time."

He grabbed her shoulders and shook them lightly but firmly to make her focus. "You trust me, right?"

Alia looked up at him with soft, watery eyes.

Even in the middle of all this danger, her cheeks turned a little pink.

"Yes... I have full trust in you," she said, her voice trembling but full of emotion.

She didn’t look away from his eyes even for a second.

A small, confident grin appeared on Crypian’s face for a split second before he hid it."Good!" Said Crypian.

He pointed carefully toward Julius and Rosalina, who were still busy smashing the Love Guardian.

"You target the woman. I will target the man. Make sure you don’t miss, okay?"

"O-okay..." Alia nodded.

She took a deep breath and tried to gather some strength in her voice. "I hope it succeeds..."

Crypian gave her one last encouraging nod, but deep down he was already calculating how fast they could run to that door the moment the spell went off.

.....

.....

While Crypian and Alia were quietly planning their sneaky spell in the back, Julius and Rosalina were busy beating the living daylights out of the Love Guardian.

"Attack his head!" Julius shouted as he threw his chained mace hard at the guardian’s leg.

"Make him realise how cheesy he sounds every time he opens his mouth!"

"Ugh!" The Love Guardian let out a low groan and dropped heavily to his right knee.

His body shook from the impact.

"Alrighty!" Rosalina nodded with a big grin.

She jumped high into the air and brought the heavy war hammer crashing down straight toward the Love Guardian’s head.

But at the last second, the guardian twisted his head to the side.

"Bam!"

The hammer slammed into the stone floor instead.

Broken pieces of rock shot out in every direction like sharp bits of exploding concrete.

The Love Guardian saw his chance.

He quickly lifted his huge leg and tried to kick Rosalina hard in the stomach.

Out of nowhere, Julius’s mace flew in and smashed into the guardian’s leg.

The heavy chains wrapped tightly around it, locking the leg in place.

It was Julius’s mace.

He grabbed the handle firmly with one hand and reached the other hand out into the air.

A small, confident smile appeared on his face under the mask.

"This is the perfect opportunity," he said calmly.

"Babe!" Julius called out.

The moment he said it, Rosalina knew exactly what to do.

She instantly reached out her hand, and sharp spears appeared in her grip.

Julius did the same.

Spears formed in his hand too as he moved closer to the trapped Love Guardian.

The Love Guardian was struggling like crazy.

He twisted and pulled with all his strength, trying to free his chained leg. But it was no use.

The heavy chains held him tight, digging into his armor like iron ropes.

Julius and Rosalina walked calmly toward him.

They raised their spears and started stabbing, his arms, his legs, anywhere they could reach.

The Love Guardian was still holding his huge sword, but one spear went straight through his hand and pinned it to the ground along with the weapon.

With every stab, a deep, painful groan escaped from his mouth.

Julius pulled his mace back and the chains unwrapped from the guardian’s leg.

"Now let’s finish this!" he said in a steady voice.

"Yeah," Rosalina nodded.

She walked right up to the Love Guardian with a wicked grin spreading across her face.

"Let’s see what saves your ’pure love’ once I decorate the floor with your head," she said, clearly enjoying the moment a little too much.

"No..." the Love Guardian started to protest.

But Julius quickly cut her off, ruining her dramatic villainess moment.

"Kill him," he said firmly. "We don’t know what tricks he still has. But one thing is certain, he will be a big problem if we don’t finish him now."

Julius stopped right in front of the guardian’s head and lifted his heavy mace high into the air.

Rosalina followed his lead. She aimed her hammer straight at the guardian’s chest.

"On the count of three," she said with that same wicked grin.

"One," Rosalina counted.

Her eyes were shining with bright excitement. She looked thrilled, like she was about to unwrap a gift.

"Two."

The Love Guardian struggled wildly.

He roared loudly and pulled with everything he had left, trying his hardest to break free from the spears pinning him down.

"Thre..."

Before Rosalina could finish saying "three," everything around Julius suddenly froze.

A sharp, burning pain shot through his golden eyes.

Two streams of warm blood tears slid down his cheeks.

The whole world went completely still, no sound, no movement, nothing.

Then a clear vision appeared in his mind...

...

...

"Three!"

The moment Rosalina finished counting, a loud shout suddenly echoed from behind them.

"lightbreak!"

"Beeeeep!!!!"

A sharp, high-pitched ringing sound exploded inside Julius’s ears.

His eyes turned completely blank in an instant.

He had no idea what this strange feeling was.

Everything felt heavy and confusing. Before he could make any sense of it...

"Chink!!!"

A sickening sound of flesh being torn apart echoed through the hall.

"Julius..." Rosalina’s weak voice called out softly.

The blankness vanished as fast as it had come.

Julius quickly turned his head toward her. The moment he saw her, his face went pale with pure horror.

"Rose!!!!" he shouted, his voice full of fear.

...

...

The vision ended suddenly. Julius’s eyes snapped back to reality.

Warm blood was flowing out of his golden eyes and running down his cheeks.

He was breathing hard, huff... "huff... huff..." His chest rose and fell unevenly.

He quickly turned to look at Rosalina.

She was still standing there, completely fine.

His heart started to calm down a little. The horrible image from the vision disappeared.

But it was already too late.

"Three!"

"lightbreak!!!!" the shout rang out again from behind them, clear and sharp.

Julius didn’t even get a single second to react.

"Beeeeep!!!!"

The sharp ringing sound hit him again like a hammer. His eyes went blank once more.

This time, Julius didn’t hesitate even for a moment.

He lunged toward Rosalina with everything he had.

In one smooth, fast motion, he reached her, grabbed her body tightly, and threw himself over her to protect her as they started to fall to the ground.

But right at that exact instant...

"Chink..."

Everything went quiet except for that horrible tearing sound.

The blankness faded from Rosalina’s eyes. She slowly looked down.

The moment she saw what had happened, her eyes went wide with pure horror.

"No!!!"
