Lin Aoxue’s questioning immediately silenced the previously lively Martial Arena.
One had to know that most of the Yunxia Sect’s inner disciples and high-ranking members were gathered here.
Yet the Sect Master’s personal disciple had publicly questioned her own master with an attitude that showed no respect for seniority. Such a matter was no small issue.
Everyone’s attention focused on the high platform. It felt as though something major was about to happen.
Lin Aoxue’s words caused Yun Yun to freeze for a moment. She had no idea what Lin Aoxue meant.
“Lin Aoxue, what do you mean by that?” The elders seated beside Yun Yun all frowned deeply. In particular, the Great Elder Yun Ling immediately spoke up in return.
At this moment, Lin Aoxue was burning with anxiety. Along the way, she had been thinking about why Ye Liuyun had disappeared.

“I went to find my sister today, but the people at her residence said that ever since you punished her to sweep the steps back then, she has never returned there. She has not gone back for three entire years. How do you explain that? Do you think I would not be anxious?”
After hearing this, Yun Yun finally understood. She frowned slightly and spoke again.
“I understand now. Calm down first. I will immediately send someone to investigate and see what happened.”
But Lin Aoxue’s heart was filled with worry. How could she possibly calm down?
“No. You must give me an explanation immediately,” Lin Aoxue said, becoming increasingly agitated.
Lin Aoxue had repeatedly spoken in a disrespectful manner. The Great Elder Yun Ling, who oversaw the sect’s Law Enforcement Hall, could no longer tolerate it.

Although Yun Ling had his own ambitions, as the Great Elder responsible for enforcing the sect’s rules, he was obligated to uphold them.
However, just as Lin Aoxue and Yun Yun found themselves in an awkward stalemate, Ye Liuyun finally arrived at the Martial Arena.

Seeing this, Yun Yun finally let out a sigh of relief. She thought to herself that fortunately the girl was safe. If something had truly happened to Ye Liuyun, Lin Aoxue might really have turned against her.
However, even though the matter was a misunderstanding, Yun Ling felt that it should not simply be dismissed. He was just about to speak again to express his stance.
“Sect Master, this—”
But before he could finish, Yun Yun’s voice suddenly sounded in his mind through voice transmission.
“Yun Ling, know when to stop. Do not escalate this matter any further. Are you intending to defy my will?” Yun Yun said.
Yun Ling was stunned for a moment, then reluctantly sat back down. After all, openly turning against Yun Yun would bring him no benefit.
The other three elders were also dissatisfied with Lin Aoxue’s behavior, but they did not speak.
After all, it was clearly a misunderstanding, and now the misunderstanding had been resolved.
If they sent Law Enforcement disciples to punish the future Sect Master because of a misunderstanding, the consequences would be far more serious.

Ye Liuyun gave an awkward smile.

“Me? I did not think about it that much. I thought something had happened to you. At worst, we would both be expelled from our masters and wander the world together,” Lin Aoxue said. She had already prepared for the worst outcome.
Ye Liuyun wanted to complain about that statement, but when she saw Lin Aoxue’s expression, she did not know what to say.
After all, Lin Aoxue had clashed with Yun Yun because of her. She herself bore some responsibility as well.
“Forget about everything else. Hurry back and apologize to your master. Just say you misunderstood the situation,” Ye Liuyun said while glancing toward Yun Yun on the platform.
Lin Aoxue might be somewhat reckless, but she understood the seriousness of the situation. She nodded quickly, flew back onto the platform, and walked in front of Yun Yun before kneeling down.
“Master, I misunderstood you. I made a mistake. Please punish me,” Lin Aoxue said decisively.
When Yun Yun saw Lin Aoxue kneeling, the frustration in her heart finally eased slightly. Lin Aoxue’s earlier behavior had truly been infuriating.
“You girl… I confined you for three years, yet that impulsive temper of yours still has not changed. I have told you before—no matter what happens, you must think calmly. With such a hot temper, how will you shoulder the great responsibility of leading the sect in the future?” Yun Yun scolded angrily.
Lin Aoxue could only accept Yun Yun’s reprimand. Regardless, punishment was inevitable.
