Chapter 6: Speaking Frankly
“I obviously cannot watch her every moment. However, I do remember that several years ago, a cultivator entered your Qixia Town. I estimate that person discovered that Lin Aoxue’s constitution was extraordinary and therefore taught her a cultivation method,” Lin Qingyou said after thinking for a moment.
At the time, Lin Qingyou did not think much of it. After all, cultivators entering a mortal town was not particularly unusual.
“Ah! I miscalculated. It seems that I cannot escape this calamity after all. Tell me, if she finds out that I have turned into a woman, how do you think she will react?” Ye Liuyun said with a bitter smile.
Lin Qingyou shook her head.

All that could be seen around them was a vast sea of clouds. Nothing else was visible.

“Ye Liuyun, let us rest for a while. Stop running. I promise I will not chase you anymore,” Lin Aoxue said, truly unable to walk any further.
Ye Liuyun did not believe Lin Aoxue’s words at all and had no intention of stopping.
But at that moment, Lin Aoxue suddenly cried out. Her foot twisted unexpectedly, and her entire body fell backward.

“Hehe. Did I not succeed in the end? Ye Liuyun, and you claimed you had no feelings for me. Yet when you thought I was in danger, you rushed to save me without hesitation,” Lin Aoxue said proudly.
“You… shameless and despicable. Let go,” Ye Liuyun cursed inwardly, annoyed that she had failed to control her instincts again.
But in truth, it was simply a habit. Although she was often irritated by Lin Aoxue’s clingy nature, the bond between them across two lifetimes could never truly be severed.
“I will not. Come back with me,” Lin Aoxue said firmly.
The two began using the last of their strength to pull against each other like participants in a tug-of-war.
Ye Liuyun’s mouth twitched slightly before she abruptly sat down on the ground. Lin Aoxue followed suit.
The two simply stopped there, utterly exhausted.
“How strange. Why do you look countless times more beautiful today? And why does your face look different from usual?” Lin Aoxue asked while staring closely at Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun’s face was clearly that of a woman, which looked very different from the face Lin Aoxue usually saw.
Ye Liuyun no longer wanted to keep hiding the truth. She decided to make Lin Aoxue retreat once she learned the truth. She felt she could not continue concealing it forever.
“Sigh… Aoxue, there is something I must tell you today,” Ye Liuyun said after taking a deep breath.
“What is it? Do not try any tricks,” Lin Aoxue replied suspiciously.
“If you check my body with your own hands, you will understand why I have been running away,” Ye Liuyun said helplessly, deciding to simply accept the situation.
