Villain of Fate: The Tyrant System

Chapter 142: Eyes of Dominion

Eyes of Dominion

"Why are you following me?"

He came to a halt, shifting just enough to face her. Golden eyes narrowed on Charlotte Bonds. She stood back a little way. The hallway stretched behind her. Fluorescent light hummed overhead.

Faint buzzing came from above, where light spilled onto the dull squares below.

A sly look crossed Charlotte’s face as she tucked one arm over the other.

"Is there a law against walking in the building where I work?"

A quiet voice carried her words, yet a small lift at the corners of her mouth showed she found it funny.

Yet deep down, Julian held another thought entirely.

[Leave now. Stay behind when I walk]

(I need to brainwash those four.)

(If I don’t set them up properly, how am I supposed to screw over Evan later?)

Charlotte blinked.

Her expression shifted slightly.

She had already learned something very dangerous about this man.

Sometimes...

His thoughts leaked out in ways that didn’t make sense.

After hearing his inner voice again, her eyes flickered with curiosity.

So that’s what he planned to do?

Brainwash them?

Her gaze lingered on Julian for a moment longer before she nodded slowly.

"Alright."

Her voice carried a strange tone.

"I won’t follow you."

Then she casually turned and walked down another hallway.

But instead of leaving—

She headed straight toward the surveillance room.

If he thought she would simply walk away...

He was badly mistaken.

She pushed open the surveillance room door.

Inside, several monitors displayed camera feeds from across the detention center.

Charlotte pulled a chair over and sat down.

Her teal eyes fixed on the screen showing the interrogation meeting room.

"Let’s see," she muttered softly.

"How exactly you plan to brainwash people."

Meanwhile, Julian entered the meeting room alone.

The metal door closed behind him with a dull click.

Inside, the four captured members of the Scythe Division were already seated at the table.

Their wrists weren’t restrained.

After all—

No one believed they would attempt anything stupid.

Especially not after what had happened earlier.

To be honest, the four of them weren’t particularly upset about being detained.

In fact...

They felt extremely lucky.

They had offended someone like Julian D’Aurelius.

And yet—

They were still alive.

That alone felt like a miracle.

But when they saw Julian walk into the room...

Their expressions instantly became serious.

Fear appeared in their eyes.

Their bodies stiffened instinctively.

This terrifying figure had already spared them once.

Why had he come again?

All four of them swallowed nervously.

For a moment, they even felt the urge to run.

After all—

This man was rumored to be a Gold Realm expert.

Stronger than both the Obsidian King Evan and Lucas.

Julian said nothing.

He simply stood there.

Watching them.

Silently.

His gaze was calm.

Cold.

Heavy.

Under that gaze, the four men suddenly felt enormous pressure.

Their backs straightened involuntarily.

It felt as if a predatory beast had entered the room.

Not a human.

Something far more dangerous.

The air seemed to grow colder.

The silence stretched longer and longer.

The four men’s breathing became uneasy.

What does he want?

Is he going to kill us?

Their fear continued to grow.

Then—

They felt something terrifying.

A faint trace of killing intent.

It wasn’t obvious.

But it was enough to make their hearts pound violently.

Even breathing started to feel difficult.

Their minds trembled.

Just as their nerves reached the breaking point—

A faint purple light suddenly flickered inside Julian’s golden eyes.

It was subtle.

But hypnotic.

The moment the four men saw it—

Their vision blurred.

Their heads spun.

Their thoughts became heavy.

The world around them seemed to melt.

Their consciousness slowly drifted into a strange haze.

Julian spoke.

His voice was calm.

Deep.

Almost echoing inside their minds.

"Are you satisfied with your work?"

The four men stared blankly.

Then slowly shook their heads.

Julian continued.

"Are you satisfied with your income?"

They shook their heads again.

Julian stepped closer.

His eyes glowed faintly with the power of the Dominion Tyrant Eye.

"Do you want a stable and prosperous life?"

This time—

They began to nod.

Their movements were slow.

Mechanical.

Julian’s voice lowered further.

"Do you want to slack off during the day..."

"...and spend nights at clubs?"

Their heads nodded again.

"...earning millions every month..."

"...with four dishes and a soup waiting on the table?"

Now they nodded vigorously.

Julian spread his hands dramatically.

"Then what are you waiting for?"

"Join the D’Aurelius Group."

"Rescue the oppressed villains."

"Eliminate all inequalities."

His voice suddenly rose.

"From today onward..."

"We are comrades."

The room fell silent again.

The purple glow faded from his eyes.

The four men blinked.

Clarity slowly returned to their faces.

But something had changed.

Deep inside their minds.

The old Obsidian Wing organization turned people into ghosts.

But the D’Aurelius Group...

Turned ghosts into snitches.

Julian leaned forward slightly.

"Do you know what to do now?"

The four looked at each other.

Then answered seriously.

"Slack off."

"Go to the club."

"Go to the club."

"Go to the club and eat four dishes and a soup."

"...."

Julian’s face twitched.

For a moment, he wondered if the brainwashing had failed.

He rubbed his forehead.

"Wrong!"

His voice suddenly rose.

"You need to reform first!"

"Be good people!"

"Then go to the club!"

"Got it?"

The four men straightened instantly.

"Yes!"

"We will listen to Young Master Julian!"

Julian nodded with satisfaction.

"Good."

"You can be taught."

He pulled a chair over and sat down casually.

Then crossed one leg over the other.

"Now..."

"Tell me what you know."

The four immediately began speaking.

Information flowed out of their mouths rapidly.

Meanwhile—

Inside the surveillance room, Charlotte watched the entire scene on the monitor.

Her expression slowly turned blank.

"...What the hell?"

She listened carefully.

But after several minutes...

All she heard were the four men enthusiastically discussing clubs.

"Go to the club."

"Four dishes and a soup."

"Club life is good."

Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"This idiot..."

She stood up from the chair.

"Forget it."

"I’m not watching this nonsense."

Then she left the surveillance room.

Back in the meeting room, about five minutes later—

Julian had already gathered all the information he needed.

And it was... interesting.

Very interesting.

He leaned back in his chair, thinking.

So Evan was planning to go to Valcenza.

And the one taking control of Valemont...

Was Lucas.

Julian’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Lucas.

In the original storyline, that man appeared much later in the story.

He was Evan’s junior brother.

A terrifying genius.

Someone who constantly tried to steal Evan’s position as Obsidian King.

He had schemed against Evan many times.

Even caused him serious losses.

But eventually—

Evan outsmarted him.

And killed him.

Julian rubbed his chin slowly.

"But now..."

"Because the storyline collapsed..."

"That guy is appearing early?"

His golden eyes glimmered thoughtfully.

"Well..."

"That makes things interesting."
