Su Ruochu turned her head and looked over with a wry smile.
"My mom says the snow is too heavy, so she's going to drive to Yunhai University to pick me up and take me home."
Chen Fan was startled. "Auntie is coming?"
Su Ruochu nodded.
Chen Fan quickly said, "Tell her you've already set off."
"My mom said she's almost at Yunhai University."
This left Chen Fan dumbfounded.
Su Ruochu seemed a bit nervous. "I didn't expect her to just come directly without saying anything in advance."
She glanced furtively at the driver in front and asked in a low voice, her face flushed.
"What should we do now?"
Chen Fan pondered for a moment and asked, "How long did your auntie say she'll be?"
"About half an hour."
Chen Fan nodded. "We have enough time."
He then looked towards the driver.
"Sir, please don't go to the station first. Take us to Yunhai University."
The taxi changed direction and headed towards Yunhai University.
When they arrived at the university, Su Ruochu's mother hadn't arrived yet.
Chen Fan took down the luggage and said to Su Ruochu with a smile, "You go back to the dorm first. When auntie comes, you can go home together."
"What about you?"
"Me? I'll just go back by myself."
Su Ruochu held onto Chen Fan's hand, somewhat unwilling.
Especially after the experience of last night, she was now extremely dependent on Chen Fan and didn't want to part with him.
"Why don't I tell my mom, and you can ride back with us?"
Chen Fan smiled, "No need."
"Your mom doesn't have a very good impression of me. If I show up with you at this moment, what do you think she'll think?"
Su Ruochu pouted, "Mom is just being difficult. I already told her yesterday that I'd be going home today, but she didn't listen and just came without any notice."

Chen Fan leaned in mysteriously and whispered into Su Ruochu's ear.
"After the new year, auntie should be gone, right? Why don't we go out and meet up somewhere?"
"Using our hands all the time isn't going to cut it..."
Su Ruochu's face immediately turned bright red. She angrily grabbed Chen Fan's arm and pinched it hard.
"What are you always thinking about?"
"I'm not talking to you anymore."
Chen Fan laughed and pulled her into his embrace, taking a deep breath filled with reluctance to let go.
"Alright, go upstairs. It's quite cold outside."
But Su Ruochu still seemed reluctant.
"Then you'll be going home alone?"
Chen Fan smiled, "What's the problem? Even though I'm very handsome, it's not like I'll definitely get mugged by some female ruffians, right?"
Su Ruochu pursed her lips.
"You wish."
"You're not even handsome at all."
Chen Fan smiled and reached out to pinch Su Ruochu's nose.
"Right, right, I look this way, and only a beauty with poor eyesight like you would be able to fall for me."
"Wife, go upstairs. We'll have another chance to pull radishes together next time."
Upon hearing the words "pull radishes," Su Ruochu immediately recalled the outrageous things they did last night.
Her face flushed bright red, and she didn't bother with Chen Fan anymore, directly dragging her luggage as she ran into the dorm building.
When she reached the entrance, Su Ruochu finally stopped and turned to wave at Chen Fan.
Chen Fan smiled and waved back, then left with his luggage in tow.
However, he did not go far, but stood at the corner of Building 6, putting down his luggage and taking out a cigarette to light.
When Chen Fan was smoking his third cigarette, a red Mazda pulled up under the dorm building.
Soon after, Chen Fan saw Su Ruochu coming down with her luggage.
He also saw Lin Wanxiu, who was wearing a red down jacket.
Su Ruochu seemed to have had an argument with her mother, placed her luggage in the trunk, and the two of them got in the car and left.
Watching the car slowly disappear, Chen Fan finally felt relieved.
He dragged his luggage back to Building 11 alone.
When he entered the dorm room, only Ma Xiaoshuai was there, playing games.
Startled to see Chen Fan come in, Ma Xiaoshuai was taken aback.
"What the hell? You didn't leave?"
"Don't even mention it. The mother-in-law came and took my wife away, leaving me behind."
Ma Xiaoshuai suddenly laughed.
"Serves you right."
He reached out and grabbed a pack of Huanghelou cigarettes, taking one out and tossing it to Chen Fan, then lighting one for himself.
"So what's the plan now? When are you planning to leave?"
Chen Fan held the unlit cigarette, feeling gloomy for a few seconds before quickly recovering.
"I've decided not to leave for now."
"It's perfect that the mother-in-law took my wife away. I can stay here for a few more days."
Ma Xiaoshuai glared at him. "You're staying? Are you going to stay until the new year? Do you have an addiction to this dorm or something?"
Chen Fan suddenly slapped his forehead.
"I almost forgot."
He went to the door and used his phone card to call home.
Last time his mom called, she said they had set up a landline at home and recited the phone number several times, telling Chen Fan to remember it.
"Mom, it's me, Xiao Fan."
"Yeah, I'm on vacation now."
"Mom, is Dad there? Oh, listen to me, I'm planning to do some part-time work with my classmates during the break."
"Yeah, to get some internship experience."
"So I won't be going home for now, I'll go back in a couple of days."
"Don't worry, Mom, it's just a regular internship job. I'm just getting a head start in adapting to it."
"It's at my classmate's family's company, very reliable and trustworthy. You can rest assured."
Seeing Chen Fan chattering on, Ma Xiaoshuai couldn't help but laugh and give him a thumbs up.
After finally managing to placate his mother, Chen Fan hung up and let out a long sigh of relief.
"By the way, where's Brother Jie? Did he go home?"
"Nah, he's probably at the internet cafe right now."
Chen Fan frowned. "What's up with that? This guy really plans to loaf around until the new year, huh."
Ma Xiaoshuai shook his head. "Probably not gonna happen. The school sent out a notice this morning, telling any students who haven't left yet to leave within three days."
"So inhuman."
Chen Fan looked at Ma Xiaoshuai, and his gaze suddenly shifted.
"You're not busy right now, are you?"
"Can't you see I'm playing games?"
"Screw that, grab your car keys and come help me take care of something."
Without further ado, Chen Fan went over and shut off the computer, dragging Ma Xiaoshuai out.
"Dude, at least let me put on a down jacket. You trying to freeze me to death?"
"Hurry up. The lazier the donkey, the more shit and piss it produces."
The two of them bickered as they went downstairs, got into Ma Xiaoshuai's red BMW, and left campus.
"So where are we going?"
Ma Xiaoshuai shivered as he turned on the heater. "It's freezing out. If we get into an accident, we're both done for."
"Shut your ominous trap."
Chen Fan pointed his finger. "First, we're going to the bank branch across the street. I need to withdraw some cash."
"Then we'll go find a supermarket and buy some red envelopes."
Ma Xiaoshuai immediately looked over excitedly.
"At least you have some conscience, remembering to give me a red envelope for the new year."
"But you could just give me the cash directly. No need to get a special red envelope."
