Chapter 3809 - Graverobbers Hunting Grounds
"They're finally gone!" Tianming only popped back up after the two streaks of starlight vanished.
"Jiu Jue, the tombkeeper huh?" Someone who was more than a hundred meters in height wouldn't be easy to deal with. He had to be extra careful. "We have a watchdog here."
"The final... two people... got in... and have... started to... gain insight...." Yin Chen was implying that it was unlikely for there to be more cosmic gods that would go there. Given how hidden the place was, people seldom came to visit without a good reason.
"All I have to be wary of is Jiu Jue as I sneak into the divine tomb." Tianming spent a long time circling around to the rear of the divine tomb. Yin Chen had already scoped out the entire area, and it was absolutely huge. Ostensibly, it contained lots of goodies within. "Those cosmic tribulation seas are rare resources. The simulacra tides in them regenerate, but it takes time...."
Since he came all the way, he would accept the challenge. The biggest question now was whether he would be able to sneak his way in. Jiu Jue didn't have cosmic sense and Yin Chen had a grasp on where he was the whole time. Tianming, on the other hand, entered the illusory formation and used his Sky Plundering Eye to show the way. Its centuroptic-beast compound eyes could see through the illusions, which wasn't the hard part.
Eventually, Tianming finally ran up against a wall that was thick beyond imagination. Tianming couldn't even see it clearly with his real eyes. Using the Sky Plundering Eye, he noticed that it wasn't even a proper wall, but rather a boundless sea of divine celestial patterns with no end in sight. The trillions of patterns coiled together like snakes, forming tight links together.
"The wisdom of countless generations of the Starfall Pantheon was used to forge this very thing!" This was similar to fusion, astralguard, and divine astralship formations in that they weren't the effort of merely a single generation of people, but rather a whole lineage. The fact that cosmic gods like Xing Zhan and Mo Shen had their descendants enter it meant that the formation was stronger than the one they had at home, not to mention being hidden. They didn't have to worry about the cosmic-god slave attacking their homes and going after their young.
"Let's begin!" Tianming took a deep breath and let his innate talent do his thing. He stretched out his black arm and began to dig out a small path through these unbelievably dense patterns. "I haven't used this since I unsealed the formation locks of the former valley lord and Jian Qinghe."
He closed his eyes and used the Sky Plundering Eye to sense where the patterns began and ended. What he wanted to do wasn't to ruin the defensive formation, but only to make a small path through it without causing it to rumble and alert anyone. As such, he didn't need large amounts of nova source to breach the formation like a ship would.
"Fortunately, I'm not an overflower yet or it'd be even harder to keep what I'm doing unnoticed." His small body was nothing but a tiny nail to a formation of this size, to the point that it was negligible.
"Oh?" Soon, he had an interesting discovery. "So this formation is used to defend against giants of around a hundred meters in height. That's why while it's thick and robust, it's somewhat crudely constructed. It's great for what it's designed for, but it doesn't work well against someone of my size."
He had thought it would take quite a bit of effort, but it only got easier as he went on. With a few pulls of his finger, he gradually made a path. "Let's see how thick this nine-layered formation is!"
