Suishen Ranxing had died in a manner that nobody would forget. But in the end, he hadn't been able to stop the change that was coming to Myriadpath Valley and the astralscape of order in the slightest.

Everyone else turned to Tianming, who didn't seem the least bit intimidated. He faced the crowd and said, "Everyone here has the right to leave and choose their own path. My struggle with Suishen Ranxing wasn't one of good and evil. However, my fight against the Qitians and Yumos started because of starblood and lifebound beast farms. I don’t regret starting and finishing those fights.

"For Myriadpath Valley and the Million Mundi to change, we have to excise the rot and corruption from within. Only then will the wheels of progress continue turning! Suishen Ranxing chose to defend the Qitians and Yumos and ended up choosing his own defeat. Perhaps that was deserving of some praise as well. Either way, the astralscape of order will be the Tianming Dynasty's from now on."

As the wheel of progress rolled on, there would be those who would die fighting, those who surrendered, and those who ended their own lives. There were all kinds of choices available to them. However, none of them could prevent the coming of a new era.

Suishen Ranxing had made his choice and given his reasons, but that wouldn't change the path that Tianming, the two million cultivators, the august and sacred houses, or House Suishen would take. The only ones who had to die were the Qitians, Yumos, and Suishen Ranxing.

"Myriadpath Valley might’ve perished, but things will be better under the Tianming Dynasty!" the former valley lord said.

A festive mood fell upon the imperial capital once more as the last embers of Suishen Ranxing's ashes extinguished in the air.
