Nan Huang, a longsword in hand, slowly walked to Shen Bai’s side. "Lord Shen," he said, "I have this persistent feeling of unease, as if... as if someone is watching me."

Shen Bai nodded. "You’re not wrong."

Nan Huang possessed the Hundred Truths Technique. Here, he was the strongest, second only to Shen Bai.

The prodigy who stepped forward was dressed in green robes, which gave him a verdant, vibrant look.

And yet, the clothes suited him, giving him an air of vitality.

Before Shen Bai could respond, the prodigy continued.

"My name is Tan Ming, a disciple of Peiyuan Peak from the Great Yue Country."

"Peiyuan Peak follows the path of cultivation through planting. We specialize in using flora as our Cultivation Method. The stronger the plants we nurture, the stronger we become."

In Tan Ming’s left hand was a tiny green sprout.

Shen Bai asked, "What did you mean by ’trouble’?"

"Plants in unique environments will adapt. That plant from a moment ago might have become rootless as a way to adapt, allowing it to still absorb the energy needed for growth."

Shen Bai nodded. "I understand the principle."
