Shen Bai frowned. "An enemy that even you find terrifying, Senior? What is their identity?"

The aura of decay around the Ruo Shui City Lord grew stronger as she spoke with Shen Bai.

’A mastermind’s subordinate?’ Shen Bai was slightly surprised.

After she said this, the Ruo Shui City Lord’s aura weakened even further.

Shen Bai stroked his chin. "Where in Ruo Shui City is this enemy now?"

The Ruo Shui City Lord pointed at the staircase. "Follow this down, and you will see the terrifying enemy."

Shen Bai nodded and followed the Ruo Shui City Lord down the stairs.

Below was the first basement level of the Ten Thousand Flowers Building.

The space here was large enough, but it was also extremely empty.

In the corner stood a shelf, looking rather inconspicuous.

On the shelf, a glowing Luminous Pearl was flickering with an unstable light.

If one looked closely, they would discover that the Luminous Pearl’s light was not gentle; instead, it exuded a cold, sinister aura.

"This is the Deceitful Object. You can take it for yourself," the Ruo Shui City Lord said. "I must go prepare to deal with my old foe."

Shen Bai remained motionless, his expression calm as he gazed at the Luminous Pearl before him.

The Ruo Shui City Lord’s delicate brows furrowed slightly. "Young friend, what is the meaning of this?"
