Chapter 510 - 180: Array-Breaking Technique Level 6, Hongyi’s Identity (Part 2)
As soon as she finished speaking, the aura of the woman in the light gown changed.
Inside the quaint, antique room, the light-gowned woman began to exude a cruel and tyrannical air, as if she wanted to eat Shen Bai alive.
It wasn’t just her; the other dozen or so women all wore the same expression.
A look of sudden understanding crossed Shen Bai’s face. "So that’s how it is. I get it now."
He had said it before: the things that are free are always the most expensive. It seemed he was right.
These were the rules of Fengyue Street.
Upon entering, everything seemed to be free, but it was all a dangerous trap.
A hundred times in one night. And judging by the situation, it wasn’t a simple "hundred times."
Shen Bai could feel a Suction Power emanating from the dozen or so women.
But this Suction Power was not the desirable kind.
The former was what men dreamed of; the latter was a steel blade that scraped the very bones.
He feared that if a Cultivator came here, it wouldn’t take more than a few rounds before their Essence, Qi, and Spirit were drained completely, leaving them a corpse.
"And what if I’m unwilling?" The corners of Shen Bai’s mouth turned up slightly.
Trading one’s life for pleasure? Only an idiot would make that deal.
The ferocious look on the light-gowned woman’s face intensified, her features twisting together. "If our guest is unwilling, we will simply tie him up. After we’ve had our hundred times, we will naturally let him leave."
"And the benefits?" Shen Bai asked.
Since this was the Mysterious City, everything followed rules. Where there was a downside, there had to be an upside.
The light-gowned woman sneered. "Pleasure. Isn’t that the greatest benefit of all?"
Shen Bai rubbed his chin. "I see. So the benefit is completely useless."
Although she was being evasive, Shen Bai knew the benefits didn’t stop there.
But to find out what they were, one would likely have to go through with the hundred sessions.
Shen Bai, of course, had no intention of doing so.
He drew Cold Moon from his waist. As his fingers slid across the blade, a terrifying Blood Red Sword Qi began to ripple across its surface.
"It seems our guest is displeased. In that case, there’s nothing to be done." The light-gowned woman’s tone grew even colder.
As she finished speaking, she and the other dozen or so women underwent a horrifying transformation.
Streams of a cold, sinister aura swirled around the light-gowned woman and the others.
Their flesh began to fall away, their beautiful figures withering.
A pink mist spread through the air, revealing rosy-hued skeletons that would make anyone’s heart shudder.
"Seize him!" the light-gowned woman shrieked. "After a hundred rounds of pleasure, throw him out of the pavilion!"
Then, the dozen or so women charged at Shen Bai.
...
Fengyue Street was a scene of enchanting allure.
On the street, scantily clad women walked about, creating a lively atmosphere.
Just then, a terrifying tremor came from the pavilion nearest to the street’s entrance.
It was followed by a deafening roar as the pavilion collapsed with incredible speed.
Dust and smoke billowed out, filling every corner of the street and obscuring the view within.
From within the dust cloud, a figure emerged, drawing everyone’s attention.
Holding his longsword, Shen Bai walked out of the dust.
His left hand was wreathed in a blazing Buddha’s Light as it gripped the neck of the light-gowned woman.
The light-gowned woman struggled ceaselessly, her face as savage as a demon’s—a stark contrast to Shen Bai’s calm demeanor.
CRACK!
A horrific sound rang out.
The light-gowned woman fell to the ground, lifeless.
Shen Bai flicked his hand and said nonchalantly, "And you think you’re worthy of this body?"
With those words, Shen Bai turned his gaze to the entirety of Fengyue Street and raised Cold Moon.
"Now that I understand the rules, I’ll just have to annihilate all of you."
Blood Red Sword Qi bloomed like a flower of death upon Cold Moon.
Because the rules had been broken, all the women transformed into rosy-hued skeletons and surged toward Shen Bai, bringing with them a monstrous pink mist.
Shen Bai unleashed his Sword Qi. The Anti-Demon Blood Sword Dance blossomed in the sky, and Blood Red Sword Qi rained down like water.
Countless rosy-hued skeletons were pinned to the ground by the Blood Red Sword Qi before they could even reach Shen Bai, their limbs twisting as they struggled.
BOOM!
The Blood Red Sword Qi exploded, and a terrifying energy rapidly spread out from the center of the blast.
As far as the eye could see, the ground was a scene of utter devastation.
After the Blood Red Sword Qi detonated, the rosy-hued skeletons began to vanish at a speed visible to the naked eye.
In the blink of an eye, only ruins remained.
All the rules of Fengyue Street had been utterly destroyed under Shen Bai’s Cold Moon.
Amber wriggled out from Shen Bai’s robes and said with delight, "Master, great job! All those stinking bags of bones deserved to be killed."
Shen Bai pressed down on Amber’s head, pushed her back into his robes, and then continued to survey his surroundings.
’The rules are destroyed, so the anomaly should be appearing now.’
Based on his previous encounter with the peddler anomaly on Strong Sale Street, the Fengyue Street anomaly should have appeared by now.
Shen Bai was excited.
He could harvest at least ten wisps of Evil Qi and get rich again.
As Shen Bai was thinking this, time slowly passed.
After about fifteen minutes, Shen Bai still hadn’t seen any anomaly appear, and he couldn’t help but frown.
’This isn’t right.’
’The anomaly should have come out by now.’
Back then, the peddler anomaly had appeared very quickly. But he had been waiting for so long now, and Fengyue Street was still completely quiet. Shen Bai felt something was wrong.
’Could it be that there is no anomaly?’
’Or was it accidentally killed during the slaughter just now?’
’But why wasn’t there any Evil Qi?’
Several thoughts flashed through Shen Bai’s mind one after another.
Just as he was pondering this, something unusual finally happened.
A faint footstep echoed from the other end of the street.
Shen Bai looked back, his brows furrowing.
