Chapter 610: I’m Happy to Spoil Her, What’s It to You?
But Annabelle Linton was squandering Leona Grant’s affection with abandon. All she had to do was crook her finger, and Leona Grant would come running.
’Her Janie... spent the most blissful day a girl could ever dream of with her face awash in tears.’
’And this was all thanks to Annabelle Linton!’
Tina Chapman’s expression twisted as she pointed at Annabelle Linton and cursed, "Annabelle Linton, you’re a fickle, promiscuous slut who throws herself at any man! A bitch like you who plays with people’s feelings deserves a horrible death! May you be struck by lightning, drawn and—"
"What nerve. Cursing my woman? Are you tired of living?"
Just as Tina Chapman was speaking, a similarly lazy yet ice-cold voice cut in.
Annabelle Linton looked over and saw Leona Grant walking toward her.
His expression was calm, as placid as still water, showing not a hint of anger. But deep within his cold eyes, a bone-chilling frost was spreading, threatening to freeze the entire world.
Leona Grant stopped in front of her and looked her over from head to toe. His gaze finally settled on her red, swollen cheek. His pupils contracted, and then he let out a cold sneer.
Turning to face Tina Chapman and Chase Lynch, he raised an eyebrow. "Who did it?"
A faint smile touched Chase Lynch’s lips as he watched Tina Chapman with a hint of schadenfreude.
Leona Grant stared at Tina Chapman, his face devoid of expression. "You?"
Tina Chapman coughed uncomfortably. Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind. She pointed at Annabelle Linton and declared with righteous indignation, "I was just teaching Annabelle Linton a lesson! No matter what, she’s my niece. Anything she does reflects badly on our family! Since she’s a married woman, she should know her place! As her aunt, I’ve already caught her seducing men in public twice..."
Seeing Leona Grant’s face darken, she pressed on even more fervently. "The last time was in Serenvale. She was behind your back, all lovey-dovey with Quentin Holland! And this time, right now, she’s here laughing and chatting with Chase Lynch! If I didn’t hit her, I’d be disgracing our ancestors!"
SLAP—
Chase had appeared out of nowhere, landing a vicious slap on Tina Chapman’s face.
Tina Chapman was stunned...
Leona Grant watched her coolly, his expression unchanging. "Even if she has no manners, that’s my business. I enjoy spoiling her rotten. What right do you have to interfere? Teach her a lesson? Who the hell do you think you are?"
To be slapped by an assistant—Tina Chapman was furious, but she didn’t dare say a word!
Her voice trembling on the verge of tears, she said, "She’s not the only woman in the world! How can you tolerate her cheating on you like this?"
Leona Grant sneered. "In my eyes, she is the only woman in the world."
Tina Chapman was left speechless.
Just as she was at a loss for what to say, Mr. Ainsworth suddenly appeared and walked toward them.
Seeing her husband, Tina Chapman grew agitated and burst into pitiful tears. "Honey... Annabelle Linton, she—" SLAP!
She had just started to complain when she was unexpectedly met with a third, vicious slap.
This one was the most vicious of all...
She clutched her face, staring at Arthur Ainsworth in a daze. A flash of helplessness crossed Arthur Ainsworth’s eyes before he turned to Leona Grant, bowing and scraping. "Haha, Young Master Grant, we’re all family here! No need for things to get so tense. My wife doesn’t know any better and went too far with Annabelle. I’ve already taught her a lesson, you see. Please, calm your anger."
"Family?" Leona Grant repeated the word, a disdainful smile spreading across his lips. "You think you’re worthy?"
Arthur Ainsworth’s face paled, but he quickly put on a fawning smile. "Then... what do you propose we do?"
