Remarriage Failed Again Today

Chapter 259 - 258: Kidnapping 4

"Yes, sir," Chase replied, hurrying out.

Leona Grant yanked hard at his tie. He stared at the documents before him, finding them an eyesore, and swept them all onto the floor.

’For some reason, this hollow feeling inside was particularly intense. A sense of panic washed over him, leaving him deeply unsettled.’

’He had only felt this way twice in his life: once when his grandmother died of a heart attack, and again right now.’

’It felt like a giant hand was squeezing his heart, making it hard to breathe.’

Half an hour later, Chase rushed in, his expression panicked. "Sir, it’s terrible! Your wife... it seems your wife has gone missing!"

"What did you say?!" In a flash, Leona Grant was in front of Chase, grabbing his collar with brute force. "You fucking say that again!"

Chase was terrified by Leona Grant’s vicious aura. This was the first time he had ever seen his boss so furious.

Chase didn’t dare delay and said quickly, "It’s like this, Sir. This morning, Mrs. King called your wife to ask her to go to the hospital, but she never showed up!

We suspect she was abducted. The car she was in never went to the hospital; they switched vehicles on the Second Viaduct Expressway. It was a surveillance blind spot, but they must have caught her trying to make a call on her phone. We tracked her location using the log from that last call, and... and then the trail went cold!"

Seeing Leona Grant’s murderous glare, Chase quickly added, "But we caught the first driver who abducted her at the airport. We can interrogate him."

"Bring him up here!"

"Yes!"

The man was brought up immediately. The driver had just stepped into the office, trembling, when a loud BANG echoed. He’d been shot in the leg.

"AHH!"

Blood splattered. The driver’s beige work pants were quickly soaked red as he writhed on the floor in agony.

Leona Grant lunged forward, seizing him by the collar and jamming the gun hard against his forehead. "Speak! Where is Annabelle Linton!"

The driver’s first instinct was to lie. "Young Master Grant, I don’t kno—" BANG!

Another bullet tore through his palm.

Even though the gun was silenced, its power was undiminished. The driver nearly passed out from the pain.

"I’m giving you one last chance. Tell me where the fuck Annabelle Linton is!" Leona Grant’s face was a mask of malice, his eyes bloodshot.

"I’ll talk! I’ll talk!" The driver, looking at Leona Grant who seemed ready to blow his brains out at any second, was so terrified he nearly pissed himself. "She’s in the abandoned factory on the south side of the city! Young Master Grant, please, spare me! I have a family to support, elders and kids! I was just paid to do a job!"

BANG! The moment the driver finished speaking, Leona Grant shot him in the chest.

The driver’s eyes shot open as blood streamed from his chest. Then, he passed out.

"Ian Chase, lock him up. If anything happens to Annabelle Linton, I’ll have him drawn and quartered! Now, come with me to the abandoned factory on the south side. We’re going to wipe out those arrogant bastards who don’t know who they’re messing with!"

"Yes, sir!"

...

His face an icy mask, Aaron Wyatt immediately got out of his car and ran to the entrance of the abandoned factory.

As soon as he reached the entrance, a group of men moved to intercept him.

"Hands on your head! Hand over your weapon!"

Aaron Wyatt obediently complied. Someone immediately stepped forward to frisk him.

"Listen here, kid. You’d better not try any funny business, or neither you nor that woman will make it out of here alive!"

Aaron Wyatt stared at him coldly, his expression grim. "Don’t touch her. I didn’t call for backup."

"Good!" A large group of men swarmed him, pinning his arms from both sides and shoving him inside.

The moment Aaron Wyatt was inside, Faye Sheffield walked up to him.
