She walked over to Annabelle Linton and dropped to her knees—
She looked up, her face a mask of humiliation. "As you wished. I knelt for you. Now, spare Faye."

Annabelle Linton smiled coldly, a deep-seated hatred welling up in her eyes—the kind that seeps into your very bones.

She could also never forget the life this woman had twisted beyond recognition.
Annabelle Linton’s gaze swept over her as she chuckled. "Is that it? Surely Miss Yates didn’t think a simple kneel would suffice? Where’s your sincerity?"
Tears streamed down Vivian Yates’s face again, but she looked like a lamb to the slaughter, speaking like a puppet, "I’m sorry. We were wrong. I’m begging you, please let Faye go."
Watching the scene unfold, Annabelle Linton felt a surge of satisfaction.
’Vivian Yates, what goes around comes around. You never expected this when you were plotting against me, did you?’
"Hmm, I’m a woman of my word."
Annabelle Linton gave a faint smile. The next second, her sharp gaze shot toward Chase. "Chase, what are you standing around for?!"
Everyone else in the hospital room stared at Annabelle Linton, stunned.
Chase looked completely baffled. "Huh?"
Annabelle Linton looked at Chase, her expression blank. "Have you forgotten why you’re here?"
"I remember, but... weren’t you going to..."
As he spoke, Chase’s eyes widened in sudden understanding.
’That’s right! I’m here on the president’s orders to arrest someone. The madam never gave us any orders. Whether this woman’s face gets ruined or not has nothing to do with her.’
Now understanding, Chase shot a cold look at the bodyguards. "What are you all standing around for? You don’t want your jobs anymore?! Seize her!"
At Chase’s command, the bodyguards sprang into action, hauling Faye Sheffield up from the floor.
Faye Sheffield panicked, struggling with all her might. "What are you doing? What do you think you’re doing? Didn’t you hear Annabelle Linton just say she’d let me go? Let me go!"
Chase sneered. "We’re following the president’s orders! Take her away!"
"Vivian, Vivian, save me! I don’t want them to ruin my face! I don’t want it! Save me, please, save me!" Faye Sheffield shrieked at Vivian Yates, her voice filled with anguish.
Faye Sheffield’s cries snapped Vivian Yates back to reality. She scrambled to her feet, grabbing Faye with one hand while glaring at Annabelle Linton. "Annabelle Linton, you said you’d spare Faye if I knelt! What is the meaning of this?"
Annabelle Linton remained seated, picking up her glass of red wine again and swirling the contents, acting as if none of this had anything to do with her.
She calmly raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "I did spare her. But I’m not the one arresting her now."
Vivian Yates understood in an instant—
