Chapter 150 - 149: Reconnaissance
"The Blue Sea Club! Who would have thought it would end up being this place? This is the property of Ah Fei Fei, the Prime Minister of the Leiyin Republic. He was the one who targeted the members of the Guardian Flame. What do we do now?"
In a hotel room not far from the Blue Sea Club, a Magic Light Curtain floated in mid-air, displaying the scene of a man in black stepping into the club.
Janis sat on a sofa, watching the Magic Light Curtain, his expression turning grave.
Janis, Robin, and Shari were elite members of the Black Cheetah Killer Organization and had once successfully assassinated a Great Spirit Master. Their intelligence-gathering abilities were also top-notch.
While Shu Feng had been enjoying student life at the Leiyin Republic Royal Academy for the past few days, Janis and the other two had been investigating the deaths of the Guardian Flame members, and they had finally made a breakthrough.
Shari asked, "Robin, what do we do now? Sneak into the Blue Sea Club?"
Of the three, Robin was the calmest. He was proficient in all sorts of strange magic and served as the trio’s de facto leader.
In the Demon Leopard’s absence, Robin was the one who gave the orders and made all the decisions.
Robin said, "The Blue Sea Club has powerful Spiritualists. From what I know, Black Frog of the Poison Dart Frog organization went into the Blue Sea Club and was never seen again. Therefore, I propose we report this to the Master and let him decide."
Janis’s expression also turned grave. "Even Black Frog disappeared in there! The Blue Sea Club is truly a den of crouching tigers and hidden dragons."
The Poison Dart Frog was also an incredibly powerful assassin organization; they had even succeeded in assassinating the king of a small nation. The organization had three Spiritualists in total, and Black Frog was one of them.
Legend had it that Black Frog once escaped a manhunt by the [Celestial Sword] completely unscathed, making him a legend in the assassin world.
After all, not even a Spirit Sect Level expert could guarantee an escape from a [Celestial Sword] manhunt. For a Spiritualist who was a master of escape techniques to perish in the Blue Sea Club, it was a clear testament to the club’s danger.
Robin took out his phone and called Shu Feng directly. "Master, it’s Robin. We have a lead on the matter you asked us to investigate. The target just entered the Blue Sea Club, a property of the Leiyin Republic’s Prime Minister, Ah Fei Fei. Please give us your orders."
Shu Feng’s voice came through the phone. "Where are you? I’m on my way."
Robin replied, "The Haosheng Grand Hotel, Room 1207."
Twenty minutes later, Shu Feng stepped into Room 1207 of the Haosheng Grand Hotel.
"Tell me everything from the beginning."
At Shu Feng’s command, Robin and the others told him the entire story.
As soon as they received their mission from Shu Feng, Robin and his team used the intelligence he provided to start their investigation, beginning at the last known location of the Guardian Flame members.
Robin was proficient in various forms of magic, including one called True Word Art. Anyone affected by this spell is compelled to speak the truth and must honestly answer the caster’s questions.
With the power of True Word Art, Robin quickly found witnesses. Then, after a series of tracking and search efforts, he finally identified the man in black as their target.
"Master, I suspect the man in black is connected to the Dark Night Church in the Leiyin Republic. But I have no evidence."
"The Blue Sea Club is guarded by powerful Spiritualists, so we didn’t dare get too close. From what I’ve gathered, at least ten Spiritualists have disappeared inside that club," Robin said.
Shu Feng asked, "What does the man in black look like?"
"This is him!"
Robin pulled up a photo on a tablet and handed it to Shu Feng.
Shu Feng glanced at the photo, left the room, and went into the adjacent room, 1208. He immediately closed his eyes and lay down on the bed.
Dozens of black flies, tiny mosquitoes, fist-sized rats, and scores of cockroaches poured out of Room 1208, silently swarming toward the Blue Sea Club.
Shu Feng activated Dominator Mode. His consciousness latched onto a nearly transparent mosquito, and he directed the swarms of flies, mosquitoes, rats, and cockroaches to stealthily advance on the Blue Sea Club.
A rat had just scurried into the Blue Sea Club when a Flying Blade, glowing with an eerie blue light, instantly pierced through its body.
A man in black, exuding a ferocious aura, leaped out from a dark corner.
"Yisa, what happened?"
A voice called out from another hidden corner.
A flash of disgust crossed Yisa’s eyes. He kicked the dead rat aside and said dismissively, "It’s nothing. Just killed a rat. Wasted one of my Flying Blades."
Silence returned to the other corner. Rats were an endless nuisance, so they were used to them.
As the mosquito carrying Shu Feng’s consciousness flew into the Blue Sea Club, he saw that the club was filled with handsome men and beautiful women. From the secluded private rooms, the sounds of debauchery drifted out.
Many of the Leiyin Republic’s most important figures were in these hidden rooms, indulging their desires without restraint.
Shu Feng’s Synthetic Beast Corps silently infiltrated one private room after another. They witnessed the disgraceful behavior of many of the Leiyin Republic’s elites but found no sign of the man in black.
’What is this place?’
Information about a secret passage was relayed from one of the cockroaches. Shu Feng’s consciousness stirred, instantly transferring to a transparent mosquito.
The transparent mosquito landed on a tall, sexy woman with chestnut-colored hair.
The chestnut-haired woman was riding in an elevator, accompanied by two men in black who exuded a terrifying aura.
The elevator descended steadily, finally stopping at the tenth basement level.
When the elevator doors opened, the chestnut-haired woman strode out.
An incredibly vast underground plaza unfolded before Shu Feng’s eyes. In the center of the plaza stood a ten-meter-tall Divine Statue. It had long blue hair, a towering figure, and handsome features, but its expression held a hint of malevolence.
Below the Divine Statue was a Blood Pool five meters in diameter. Bubbles constantly rose to its surface, and human bones would occasionally float up, giving the entire scene an incredibly eerie feeling.
Standing below the Divine Statue was a middle-aged man in a black robe. He had brown hair, gray eyes, and a calm, imposing presence.
’Ah Fei Fei!’
Shu Feng felt a jolt of recognition the moment he saw the middle-aged man.
That middle-aged man was none other than one of the most powerful men in the Leiyin Republic: Prime Minister Ah Fei Fei.
