Pei Yang and Wang Cuilan’s silent standoff was noticed by both Jiang Ran and Pei Huai, but neither of them said anything.

"I was thinking, since Master Liu has been the head chef for a while, we might as well give him a stake in the snack shop instead of a salary. We’ll take a share, and the rest will be his, including the workers’ salaries that should also be accounted as his."

It was like making Master Liu a franchise manager for them.
