The Tyrant's Secret fetish

Chapter 119

Ohm

I stared at Ye Jun’s message on my phone until the screen went black and I had to tap it awake again like some pathetic idiot who couldn’t let go even after everything. Titi had already bounced with her banana chips and her big speech about fighting for love and not running off to Thailand like a coward but screw that noise right now. I didn’t feel like texting him back something nice or even something mean. I just felt done. Done with the tests and the scents and the way my chest still twisted every time I thought about that tattoo on his lower back like Si Woo had stamped his name on something that should’ve been mine to even look at. So yeah I threw on the first clean shirt I could find shoved my wallet in my pocket and decided the only plan that made sense was to get my ass to the club and drink until my brain shut the hell up about him for one goddamn night.

The place was packed like always but I didn’t care. I pushed through the crowd straight to the bar ordered a shot of whatever was strongest and then another and another until the burn in my throat matched the burn in my stomach from all the crap I’d been swallowing about Ye Jun. I was halfway through my fourth drink when someone slid up behind me and wrapped their arms around my waist like they owned the spot. I knew who it was before I even turned around. Sunoo. My sometimes hook-up who never took no for an answer and always showed up at the worst possible times like the universe was personally screwing with me.

"Ohm you asshole I heard you got shot what the hell," he said right in my ear his breath hot and his hands still locked around me like he was afraid I’d bolt. I tried to shrug him off without making a scene but he just squeezed tighter and laughed that loud fake laugh he does when he’s pretending everything’s chill. "Come on don’t act like you didn’t see me coming I’ve been watching you down those shots from across the room like you’re trying to drown something big."

I finally twisted around to face him and yeah there he was all bright eyes and that smirk that usually meant he wanted round two from the last time we hooked up. I took another swig of my drink and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. "Yeah I got shot so what it’s not like I died or anything stop acting like you give a damn Sunoo you only show up when you want something."

He didn’t even flinch just leaned in closer until his chest bumped mine and the music thumped so loud I could feel it in my ribs. "I do give a damn though that’s the problem I like you Ohm like actually like you and you keep treating me like I’m some random guy you text at 2 a.m. when you’re bored. Why do you do that huh? I heard about the hospital and everything and I still came straight here because I wanted to see your stupid face."

I rolled my eyes so hard it hurt and tried to step back but the bar was right there so I was trapped between him and the counter. "I don’t like you Sunoo, not like that we hook up sometimes that’s it, don’t make it into some big romance thing I’m not looking for that right now or ever with you okay?"

He opened his mouth to argue back probably with some sarcastic comeback because that’s how we always went but right then my eyes caught on someone walking through the door and my whole body went tight. Ye Jun. He looked exactly like the last time I saw him messy hair and that guilty look in his eyes like he hadn’t slept since he handed over the evidence like it was nothing. Our eyes locked across the crowded room and for a second everything stopped the music the drinks the people bumping into me. He started walking toward us and I panicked hard. I didn’t think. I just grabbed Sunoo by the front of his shirt yanked him in and kissed him full on the mouth rough and angry like I was trying to prove something to the whole damn club. My hand slid down and grabbed his ass hard enough that he made this surprised little noise against my lips but he kissed me back like he’d been waiting for it all night.

Ye Jun stopped a few feet away his face doing that thing where it went from shocked to hurt in half a second. I pulled away from Sunoo just enough to breathe but kept my hand on his waist like a dare. Ye Jun stepped closer anyway his voice low and shaky over the music. "Ohm can we talk please I’ve been texting you I know I messed up but... "

"No," I cut him off fast, my heart hammering so loud I could hear it over the bass. "We’re not talking, Ye Jun not here, not now, not ever again."

Sunoo blinked at me then at Ye Jun and his face lit up like he just connected the dots on some gossip he’d been waiting for. "Oh this is him isn’t it? The one you’re always hung up on even when you’re with me. Damn he’s a lot prettier than I thought you made him sound way less hot in your stories Ohm."

Ye Jun smirked that little half-smirk he does when he’s trying to play it cool but I could see the way his shoulders tensed. "I’m nowhere near that actually but thanks for the compliment I guess."

I knew deep down he was right Ye Jun was prettier in that way that made my stomach flip even now after everything and it pissed me off more than anything. I didn’t want Sunoo throwing fuel on the fire and I sure as hell didn’t want Ye Jun standing there looking all kicked-puppy while I was trying to forget him. The two of them started going back and forth right in front of me Sunoo laughing and saying something about how Ye Jun looked like the type to cry during movies and Ye Jun snapping back that at least he didn’t show up to clubs like a desperate rebound. They kept talking over each other getting louder and I felt my head spin from the drinks and the anger and the way Ye Jun kept glancing at me like he was waiting for me to pick a side.

"Enough both of you," I growled and grabbed Ye Jun by the arm, yanking him toward the side door that led out to the alley because I couldn’t take the arguing anymore. "Outside now Ye Jun we’re doing this quick and then you’re leaving me the hell alone."

He let me pull him out without fighting and the cool night air hit us but I didn’t care about that I just spun on him the second the door shut behind us. "What the hell do you want from me huh? You come in here looking all sorry after you destroyed the evidence I needed to nail Si Woo for shooting me and you think a simple ’can we talk’ is gonna fix it?"

Ye Jun rubbed the back of his neck his eyes wide and desperate. "Ohm I swear I didn’t mean for it to go like that I thought if I gave it to him he’d back off and we could figure something out together I was trying to protect you..... "
