My Wife Is a Scientist

72. Ananke vs. Gilgamesh

Anake faced off against the legendary King Gilgamesh in a colossal place where they almost got annihilated when they got in contact with the energy that he was spreading during the song , filled with thousands of cheering viewers that no one could see, but the gods. That means that they were look at the Clad in bronze armor and wielding her massive axe of two continents, Anake charged forward with a wild rage. This made Gilgamesh, adorned with golden armor and holding his mighty sword, met her head-on, which made the place be reduced to a super pocket space.

Anake swung her powerful axe in wide arcs, but Gilgamesh deftly evaded his blows with superhuman reflexes, taunting Anake with her smug smile that everyone would recognize. As the battle raged on, the two titans traded powerful lunges and parries, each determined to emerge victorious: Anake was letting every hit vanish into time and decay.

That made Gilgamesh's sword gleam in the sunlight as he delivered calculated strikes, each one causing sparks to fly. That said, Anake's axe deflected the first few, but the onslaught wore him down. Their weapons clashed in a flurry of attacks, a testament to their prowess. In that sense, the sounds of metal on metal echoed through the arena, the audience growing more and more frenzied.

Anake stumbled backwards, panting heavily. Gilgamesh seized the opportunity and rushed forward, delivering a devastating blow that sent Anake crashing to the ground. The crowd roared with excitement.

Blood trickled from Anake’s lip as she spat into the sand, eyes blazing. With a roar, she slammed her endless octadimensionall axe into the ground and vaulted back to her feet—muscles coiling like steel springs of her beautiful body. Gilgamesh paused, intrigued. Few had risen after such a blow.

"Still standing?" Gilgamesh mused, twirling his sword lazily. "You’re more entertaining than I expected. I guess you are not using your full power."

Anake didn’t answer. sHe charged, not with reckless fury this time, but purpose. That meant that each footfall shook dust into the air as she closed the distance in three thunderous strides.

Their weapons met again axe against sword but this time Anake twisted, which could be a twist in hell, using sheer strength to hook Gilgamesh’s blade and yank him off balance like the simp he is. The King of Uruk staggered forward like a fuckass and that was all Anake needed.

She drove a knee into Gilgamesh’s gut.

The golden warrior grunted a rare sound of pain and stumbled back two steps before regaining composure. His smirk returned... sharper now.

“Now you fight like a bitch. You should be ashamed of yourself, little whimp,” she said through gritted teeth, “like one worthy of death.”

With godlike speed, Gilgamesh surged forward in a blinding flurry five strikes in less than a second: high-left, low-right, diagonal upward slash that he moved like fire given form, which no one could actually enjoy in the sight of life. This is the best way to be in the human existence and the ambiguity of death.

Anake blocked two but caught the third across his shoulder plate that everyone could in those lights around Anake, Lady justice, Lyras, and LYras in one solid hit that cracked bronze and sent searing pain down her arm. That made HER axe nearly slipped from numb fingers.

But then a flicker of insight THAT NOT EVEN THE SIMPS LIKE ME COULD GET.

He noticed it: every fourth strike… just for an instant… Gilgamesh favored slightly on his right. That said, a hairline opening near the hip where golden armor overlapped softer chainmail beneath.

Not enough for most men to exploit, but enough for someone built like war made flesh like those warrior getting full in blood.

Anake dropped low under another slash not blocking anymore but inviting pursuit of faith and fame. But to her, that was nothing. In secret, she was playing with him

And just as predicted overconfident he lunged with contemptuous force…

NOW!

With every ounce of strength left in her, Anake pivoted hard,

His massive boot kicked up sand and rock

Then—

UP!

The full weight behind it,

Axe arcing through twilight sky—

CHUNK!

Steel bit deepnot flesh or bone but gold-plated scale that could be done!

It tore open at Gilgamesh's side the gap wide, smoking, rent by supernatural force!

Gilgamesh screamed—not loud,

But long,

And guttural as if remembering mortality after millennia without it.

Blood spilled black-purple under twin suns, sizzling where it struck sacred stone tiles (a sign? divine disapproval?)

For first time tonight...

The crowd fell silent.

Then erupted again not cheers... gasps... whispers...

Was this truly happening?

Could anyone wound legend so?

Gilgoalsch reeled back clutching wound*, snarling between breaths:

"You dare… tear what gods have forged?"

"I don't care who made you," growled Analese,"I care who ends you."

No grace now no elegance only raw survival instinct driving them both:

One mortal pushing beyond limits

One demigod refusing mortality

They collided again that we could actually see

Fist met jawbone

Blade scraped spine armor

Sand coated sweat-slick limbs

Every movement slower now exhaustion setting in

Yet neither willing to yield

Then came moment neither could foresee

As they twisted mid-lunge

steel still locked together

both unbalanced

off-center

Gravity took hold

Tumbling across red-dust sands

rolling end over end until separated by sheer momentum alone

They rose simultaneously battered bleeding wild-eyed triumphant hate burning bright between them the way we could actually see it in the best chamber for the greatness of life and death.

Across vast arena floor they stood apart once more

but closer now too —

not just warriors

but forces shaped by fate's cruel hand meeting at last crossroads called combat ultimate

Final clash inevitable

Both broke stance at same instant

Rushing toward final exchange

No dodges left

Only one true move each can make

Steel screamed

Time slowed

Axes rose higher than stars

Swords flashed like lightning splitting cloudless sky

CRASH

Silence follows impact

Smoke curls around victor

Who stands?
