[VRMMO] Dead One

"Welp, this sucks." – said Rampage as the group stayed on the surface and didn't went into the dungeon.

"Are we forced to AGAIN just to wait?!"

"Unfortunately, this seems the only real option we have." – said ClownFrog.

"As much as it annoys me to admit it, this is the only course of action we can take, if we don't want to either be ambushed or have annoying bastards fallow after us."

"You said before that they backed away after Alamin got exposed, yea?"

"But how can we be sure that the people that backed away weren't exactly with Alamin? What if some of them were called here by him?"

"Hatters." – said Shri.

"They definitely didn't came here for their own greed."

"They were dead set on stopping me in place."

"Like, they fully focused on doing a defensive play, even though they were the ones that attacked me."

"So yeah….. They were not trying to get to the Corpse Swap."

"They were 100% mercenaries in this scenario."

"And there is also Long." – said Wretch.

"We don't know if he was a mercenary or if he sent here under somebody orders."

"How long until Blueberry gets here?" – asked Shri.

"They are on their way already." – replied ClownFrog.

"They are about to enter the neutral grounds and once they do, they will be able to fly straight to our location."

"Between….. 1 up to 3 days of wait is only left."

"Honestly, there is quiet distance from here to dragon empire, so we shouldn't expect another wave of soldiers incoming."

"I would rather be ready for anything."

[Meanwhile: Kingdom Of Uwa – Royal Castle]

"Demon Lord ClownFrog is at the Dead Lands?!" – asked elderly looking woman who was sitting on the throne.

[Queen Victoria Way]

"Y-yes, your majesty." – replied knight.

(I've heard rumors about this "Dead One" …. But he is here?!)

(And no less in the Dead Lands?!)

(This isn't good... Why would a being like him want from the Dead Land?!)

"Investigate what the Dead One is doing there and how long he has been present in the Dead Lands."

"Unfortunately for you, you have no time." – said the disturbed voice.

"WHO IS THERE?!" – shouted the queen as all the knights in the room instantly draw their weapons as a pile of darkness suddenly emerged from the middle of the room, before moments later a hooded figured emerged from the darkness.

"Intruder!" – shouted the beastman knight as he rushed in.

"Stop." – said the hooded figure.

"I'm not your enemy."

"I'm the enemy of the Garog Empire, the enemy of the Dead One."

"…"

"Hold." – said the queen, stopping her knights from attacking the intruder.

"…"

"I'm going to give you a single moment to explain yourself." – said the queen as she gave a signal to her soldiers to be ready to attack.

"Who are you?"

"And why you called yourself the "enemy of Dead One"?"

(And how did they got inside?) – thought Alarmed queen.

(Shadow Magic? But we would had detected something….. Teleportation?)

(Not only that, I can't who they are…. Items or skills? They are using something to make sure that they won't get exposed.)

"Who I'm doesn't really matter." – replied hooded figure.

"What matters is that I know what the Dead One wants from the Dead Lands."

"He wants the Tomb Of Lich Lord."

"?!"

(Wait, Tomb Of Lich Lord!?) – thought the queen.

(How does he know- NO! THAT DOESN'T MATTER!)

"How can I be sure that you are speaking truth when you dare not to show your true face?" – asked queen who tried staying calm, but was visible nervous upon receiving the news.

"The Dead One and his allies had taken control over the Corpse Sea." – said the hooded figure, instantly filling up the queen with fear and dread.

"…"

"I know your kingdom story."

"I know you are one of the kingdoms that joined hands in alliance against Lich Lord."

"And I know your kingdom made it your duty for the next Grand Death to never be born again."

"But right now?"

"A new Grand Death maybe born soon if you don't do anything."

"You are the last hope." – said the figure before then dissolving into shadows.

"…"

(Is it true?!) – thought panicking queen.

(The Tomb Of The Lich Lord is the Dead One's goal?!)

(But how I know what that person just said to be true?!)

(What….. No!)

(Even before they came here, we just found out about the Dead One being in the Dead Lands!)

(Not only that, but that person spoke about Tomb Of Lich Lord.)

(This is closely guarded secret that not many nations or empires knows about.)

(That means some kingdom or empire must had sent this person here…. But who?!)

"You majesty. There is still a chance that this person is still nearby." – said the knight.

"Maybe they have still not even left the city."

"Should we- "

"NO!" – replied queen.

"Prepare our forces."

(Grand Death.)

(This isn't a title given to any beings.)

(They are one of 3 great disaster than brought the entire kingdoms back to life as undead monstrosities.)

(It has been ages, decades since the last Grand Death has been born, since everybody was making sure that they would never appear again.)

(But now this so called Dead One is trying to conquer the Lich Lord Tomb?!)

(If he were to get whatever is inside of that place…. Than we may end up truly witnessing the birth of the "Forth Grand Death".)

(And this is something we need to prevent at all cost.)

Desperation and despair.

Kingdom of Uwa is one of the kingdoms that fought and survived the wrath of the Lich Lord.

They survived…. But they ended up receiving a "Scar".

This "Scar" was the fear left behind by the Grand Death – The Lich Lord.

They personal saw and felt his wrath, the touch of the death and saw their beloved ones turning into undead abominations.

They knew fear.

And they knew what would happened if another being like the Grand Death were to rise up, this world would feel the "terror of the death" once again.

And so, they vowed.

They vowed that they would watch over the Dead Lands, the land of the death and make sure that the horrors left behind by the Lich Lord, the "scar" he left on this world would never escape to the world.

….

But now?

Now they found out that they are not dealing with something from the Dead Lands…. No.

A being of the death.

The dragon that brought fourth death and destruction, calling upon armies monsters to serve him and conquest that which stands in his way.

The Dragon Of Death – Dead One.

A being that is already known for rising up armies of soldieries as undead slaves….. And now?

That very same Dead One suddenly appeared in the Dead Lands…. And to make it even worse, he is aiming for the Tomb Of The Lich Lord.

The forbitten dungeon that may treasures what remains of the Lich Lord.

And something that the Dead One cannot get his hands on.

If he does, then this world maybe end up seeing the birth of the "Forth Grand Death".

And so, in desperation and in panic, the forces of scared Uwa kingdom gathered and prepared themselves to head off to the Dead Lands.

However, their actions did not went unnoticed by non-other than Blueberry who was about to leave for the neutral grounds.

"The kingdom of Uwa is preparing their forces?!" – asked surprised ClownFrog.

["Yea."] – replied Blueberry via chat.

["I know you told us to get to you as soon as possible, but something was way off and I've decided to investigate with everybody…. And as it turns out, the kingdom of Uwa is planning to go to the Dead Lands."]

["Their objective? You."]

["They want to exterminate you."]

"WAIT! HOLD THE FUCK UP!" – shouted Rampage.

"Don't you still have your title!?"

"I mean, I get the sabotage, but isn't this straight up war at this point!?"

"Shouldn't your title prevent them from doing this?!"

"In theory, it should." – replied ClownFrog.

"The title was not deactivated."

(The Dead Lands maybe NEUTRAL grounds, which nobody possessing ANY authority over it….. But if what Blueberry is saying is true, then the Uwa kingdom won't just try and do sabotage, but instead they want to go to the war with us?!)

"Wait..... OH FUCK! IT IS OTHER WAY AROUND!" – shouted LM.

"?"

"What are you talking about?" – asked Rampage.

"They are not going to the war with us! They want to go to the Tomb Of Lich Lord!" – said LM.

"?"

"Okay? But they will.... No wait." – said ClownFrog as his expression suddenly changed.

"We can't attack them or stop them."

(If we were to attack a kingdom main's force, it would be straight up a declaration of war!)

(And if that were to happened, the effect of my title would instantly end!)

(The shield that is currently protecting our empire would be lost!)

(And since we can't stop them, they will enter the dungeon!)

"GET HERE AS FAST AS FUCKING POSSIBLE!"
