[VRMMO] Dead One

After quickly ending their preparations, the Garog empire second army began their march while being accompanied by both emperor and empress, while the holy kingdom forces were in panic completely scrapping their original plan of the defense and trying to replace it with a brand new one made on the spot... And before long, the empire army has arrived near the Tail city.

"…"

"There are these weird holes everywhere, but I don't see anything." – said Blueberry as she flew up to ClownFrog.

"The subordinates of mine found out that there were some left over traces of the holy water…. Honestly, this is weird?"

"?"

"What do you mean?" – asked ClownFrog.

"These holes, there were just dug out recently, like just now." – said Blueberry.

"It honestly looked like they were dismasting their own traps? That how the traces are looking to me."

"Like they just planted these traps and then just instantly took them out?"

"I've used detection skill and even my guys took a closer look, but nope. Nothing."

"It does really look like they just like I've said."

"Are they trying to play some sort of mind games or something?"

"Hm…. Don't know…. That first plan of their, the whole barrier trap and heavy assault on the Tail city had both of us outsmarted." – said ClownFrog.

"Maybe the whole "removed traps" is a mind game to make us paranoid or something? Like there are really some traps?"

"Well…. I can spread out our troops and have them be accompanied by my guys to make sure that there are no real hidden traps or anything."

"Do it, but instead use expendable soldiers as meat shields, use specifically mine monsters, I've already summoned a upper limit and stuff, so there is no problem on my side."

"Okay." – said Blueberry before then descending down.

"…"

(Angels….. Angel champions…. Even angel dragons.) – thought ClownFrog while using his [Hidden Mist Eye] to summon a undead eye of mist familiar that shared his vision with the dragon.

(They have quiet lot of angels on standby…. I can also see a lot of soldiers here and there….. And-!)

(Wait a fucking moment!) - thought ClownFrog before his eye familiar was hit with a [Light Bolt], instantly destroying the creature.

"…"

(Those were definitely the dwarven cannons.)

(I remember those fucking weapons especially since I've got hit with those bloody things way too many times…. They are special anty air weapons…. But how the fuck they got these?!)

(True, they were allies, but the dwarves and holy kingdom were pretty much just enemies working together temporarily, they were planning on betraying each other sooner or later.)

(Dwarves would never willingly gave those cannons to the holy kingdom…. Then does that mean they stole those? But when and how?)

(I would get the elves…. Since they were pretty much raiding the entire dwarven kingdom, but holy kingdom?)

(….)

(Shit.) – thought ClownFrog as he descended down, landing near his army.

"All troops! Especially the ones that fly!"

"The enemy is in possession of the dwarven cannons! Especially those anty air weapons!"

"Those who are not confided in their defenses in the air, stay behind or just fight on the land!"

(Those dwarven cannons ended up taking lives of many of our flying monsters….. They are extremely dangerous, honestly one of most annoying weapons that the dwarves had ever developed too.)

(But the question is right now: Do they have any other dwarven weapon we should be looking out for?)

The empire army, now alarmed began spreading their forces, trying to find out any hidden traps, while also making their way towards the tail city.

"…"

"Shit…. How are the preparations?" – asked the paladin with bandana as he stood on top of the wall, observing the army of monsters and demi-humans making their way towards the city.

"We positioned the cannons where you told us and prepared the holy water…. But there was a familiar near the walls. It may have been a type of familiar that shares its point of view." – said the soldier.

"Shit….. No matter. Prepare for the combat." – said the nervous paladin.

(Honestly, I'm still doubting this new plan that I've made.)

(It was rushed and made in panic.)

(Not only that, but Alamin is still missing…. I don't know if he has returned to this world….. Or maybe he did already and is on the run!)

(A lot of adventures are also not sure if they are willing to work with us.)

(Especially those who use unholy powers.)

(I've asked the pope to even lie if he had to, but he stubbornly refused!)

(Dammit! I've had no choice but to dismiss a lot of adventures that were not priest or paladins, since I didn't knew if I could had trusted them!)

"SIR! THE EMPIRE FORCES ARE ABOUT TO ENTER THE STRIKE ZONE!" – shouted the archer.

"THEN FIRE AS SOON AS THEY GOT THERE! FIRE AT THEM WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT!" – shouted the paladin.

Empire army slowly approached the city….. And as soon as they got near it, both sides instantly began firing at each other from afar using every single weapon, mages or anything that can be used as range weapon, bombarding each other.

Obviously the holy kingdom had somewhat advantage in that area, since they had city walls acting as their cover, blocking a lot of attacks... However, that did not stopped the empire army march, before then they switched their gears, starting to run all full towards the walls.

"!"

"NOW! USE THE HOLY WATER!" – shouted the paladin with bandana, commanding soldiers to pour out the bucked of holy water down from the top of the wall, covering the wall surface with the holy water as well as raining it down everywhere.

"…."

"Eh? Wait, is this their plan?" – asked running Wretch as he led oxman.

"Break the gate."

Holy water is extremely effective against "unholy" type of beings, such as undeads, demons or corrupted beings.

Pretty much, it will "screw them over" big time and depending on the quality of the holy water, the effects would obviously get stronger, pretty much it is a acid and poison to those "unholy beings".

…

But only to them.

They won't have any effect on non "unholy beings" such as monsters or demi-humans; they are able to just walk through the rain of holy water unbothered and just attack the gate.

"!"

"SHIT! TAKE DOWN THE MONSTERS ATTACKING THE GATE!" – shouted the archer before then noticing a wave of rockets alongside the silver light coming his way….. Which was then fallowed with the archers getting completely obliviated by the series of explosions.

"SHIT! IT'S EMPRESS! TAKE HER DOWN!" – shouted the high paladin, ordering the cannons operators.

Each and every cannon aimed at the Blueberry and opened fire all at once…. And in response to that, Blueberry just spread her wings and activated her jet boosters, before then quickly flying away as the cannons projectiles homed in on her, chasing her.

However, as she led the projectiles away, nobody noticed ClownFrog in his humanoid form who was flying right behind her, before then transforming into his dragon form.

"!"

"OH SHIT! FIRE! FIRE AGAIN!" – shouted panicking paladin as ClownFrog began buffing himself over and over.

The second volley of anty air cannons fired their shots, this time aiming for the ClownFrog…. But it was too late.

"[Necro Strom]!" – ClownFrog unleashed a giant storm of necrotic energy that swallowed the cannons shots, before then heading towards the wall and forcing the defenders to deploy as many barriers as possible to stop the demon lord attack.

"…"

"Fuck me!" – said the paladin with bandana as the [Necro Storm] was barely stopped by the defenders, but obviously not without taking any damage as both the wall, barrier and some barriers were damaged.

"RELOAD AND FIRE AGAIN! HE IS ONLY- "

"?!"

(Wait…. Why is the demon lord only in the air?!) – thought alarmed paladin with bandana as he only now just realized that ClownFrog was the only enemy in the air as the rest of the flying enemies were far away from the strike zone.

(WHY ARE THEY NOWHERE NEAR US?!) – thought paladin as he looked around in panic, spotting the flying enemies coming from two different sides.

"SHIT! SPLIT THE CANNON FIRE! THE ENEMY IS TRYING TO TRICK US INTO FOCUSING ON THE DEMON LORD!"

(You want us to focus on you while the other two would go and attack different spots?! Fat chance buddy! We know how much you despise those-)

However, as the paladin paid attention to the ClownFrog and the soldiers started adjusting their cannons to attack the other flying monsters that tried to launch their own attacks… They did not realized something.

Nobody has a shadow that started growing on top of the soldiers.

"?"

"Eh?"

And once they did, they realized that the said shadow started covering all of their bodies, causing them to look down and instantly noticed Blueberry before then she crashed right on top of them.

"!?"

"WHAT THE HELL?!" – shouted the soldier before then getting impaled by the chainsaw blade and then being torn to shreds right in front of everybody eyes by mechanical weapon.

(What the hell is going on!? She was just running away from the cannons projectiles, so how is she here?!) – thought the panicking paladin with bandana.

"I'VE CAME BACK FOR THE PAYBACK YOU SON OF A BITCHES!" – shouted Blueberry.

"I will pay you for killing Arias!"
