[VRMMO] Dead One

(Yeb. They are real.) – thought ClownFrog while using the [Hidden Mist Eye] familiar to spot an army of unknown golems marching from afar.

(They are no markings on them what so ever…. And they do appear to be golems made out of metal as well.)

"Anything?"

"Nope." – said Oron as he emerged from the shadows.

"I did not spotted any church forces anywhere nearby… Which is weird, since we should had seen some, even if the army we had spotted does not belong to them at all."

"So, you also think this is some sort of trick, yes?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Yeb. I've even used multiple detections skills, but could not detect anybody hiding using stealth or anything." – said Oron.

"Maybe that army of golems are distraction?"

"They very may be…. A lone army of golems appearing out of a blue and heading towards one of our supply lines while the holy kingdom is completely silent? That does makes things way too suspicious." – said ClownFrog.

"Hell, I would have been not surprised at all if those golems were something like kamikaze golems that blow up on contract."

"…"

"Fuck it. I'm trapping a meteor on them." – said ClownFrog before then taking on his dragon form and taking into the skies, heading straight towards the army of the golems before then stopping nearby.

"[Greater Meteor]." – ClownFrog began charging up his skill for quiet sometime before then unleashing a command [Fall], causing a giant magic circle to appear that dropped a huge burning boulder that came crushing down, hitting and blowing up in the middle of the golem army.

"…."

"???"

(Wait… The hell?) – thought ClownFrog as he stared at the massive destruction he had caused by unleashing his devastating meteor that not only affected the landscape itself, but also annihilated a good chunk of the golems.

"Yikes. He went with the [Greater Meteor]? I guess he wasn't….?"

(Where is he going?) – thought Oron as he saw ClownFrog flying down, before then landing near the golems.

"…"

"Bastards." – said ClownFrog out loud as he stared down.

But as he was distracted, one of the larger golems rushed at him and tried smashing him…. Only for him to grab the golem entire body and just squish it to death with his claws.

(Those are fucking dirt golems!)

(And this isn't even proper iron! It is copper that was painted over to look fancy!)

(Detection skill isn't picking up anything either…. Those are really just golems made out of dirt covered in copper armor.) – thought ClownFrog before summoning his undeads and having them destroy the golems that were left after the meteor had dropped.

(A fucking prank? I've wasted my time on this? Fucking bastards.) – thought ClownFrog as he opened the menu.

(I better call Blueberry and tell her that they were just fucking with us.)

"ORON!" – shouted ClownFrog as Oron alongside the soldiers were on their way.

"ORDER EVERBODY BACK! SOMETHING IS GOING ON- "

ClownFrog realized something was going on, but before he could explain what, a 7 columns of light suddenly burseted out from ground, afar from everybody.

Oron, ClownFrog and all the soldiers observed as the columns bended, aiming for the center between all of them, which alarmed the ClownFrog as he instantly unleashed a giant blast of necrotic energy towards where the columns were heading, causing a large explosion on the impact….. But it did not stopped the columns reach each other before moments later a barrier manifested between each column, connecting to each other which resulted in the creation of a ginormous dome made out of 5 lights as well as stained glass.

"!"

"BLAST IT!" – shouted ClownFrog, instantly commanding his forces to attack the barrier, with Oron firing a crossbow bolt that caused a massive eruption of fire while ClownFrog unleashed [Damnation Beam] that hit the barrier… But did not even cracked it.

"…"

(What the hell is this barrier?!) – thought panicking ClownFrog.

(No wait! Who activated it!? And how none of noticed the set up either!?)

"Oh, fuck me…. He really took the bait!?" – said the female dwarf player who was using hidden camera located in one of the golems destroyed heads.

"I mean, I know this was gamble and everything, but holy shit! We really caught him!"

"Told you he will do it." – said Alamin as he took the table like device from the dwarf player.

"Still, we should probably go in."

"He isn't making a dent on the barrier, but with this guy fire power, he will break in no time."

"…."

"Dammit. What the hell is this thing?" – said Oron after firing countless explosives bolts on the barrier, only to see it still not obtained a single scratch.

"I guess we got played." – said ClownFrog.

"Still, this ain't a normal barrier."

"That kind of barrier that was activated with nobody around? Hell! I didn't even found anything odd about golems either! They were just dirt golems! No bombs or special items either."

"And this barrier? I cannot teleport outside."

"There is also problem with the connection. I can't contact anybody from the city."

"?"

"You mean the barrier is cutting us from the outside world?" – asked Oron.

"Nah…. I've tried contacting Blueberry and the others before the barrier even activated, something else is blocking the signal."

"Either way…. What exactly is this thing?"

"Maybe this is some sort of artefact? The barrier I mean." – said Oron.

"Duno…. But what I know is that we need to break it." – said ClownFrog.

"There is no way this thing cannot handle our attacks, at some points it will start cracking."

"CONTINUE ATTACKING AT FULL POWER! WE NEED TO RETURN TO THE CITY IMMEDIATELY!"

"!"

"EMPEROR! I SEE SOMEBODY! THEY ARE ON THE OTHERSIDE OF THE BARRIER!" – shouted the demon soldier who was using spy glass.

"!"

"Where?" – asked ClownFrog.

"There!" – shouted the soldier, causing everybody to look in the directions where the soldier was pointing at, before moments later somebody walked right through the barrier, entering it.

"!"

"We got company…. And a lot." – said Oron as he used his demonic eye to see from afar as more and more people started going inside the barrier.

(Their equipment is all messy and not organized…. Those are not soldiers.)

"Those are players…. All of them."

"Tch."

"Then this is really holy kingdom doing." – said visible pissed off ClownFrog.

(No wait. Isn't this too many players?)

(We would had noticed…. )

"Is there something behind them?"

"Bit hard to tell through that colorful barrier…. But yea… I see it." – said Oron.

"Teleportation gate."

"Don't hold back at all." – said ClownFrog as he began the summoning.

"Don't fucking hold back and kill them all as soon as possible."

"We need to get to the city as soon as possible."

[Some time ago – After ClownFrog alongside Oron left the conquered city.]

"So, there is nothing on your end with golems?" – asked Blueberry while having a {Chat} call with Rampage.

["Nah, there was nothing."] – replied Rampage.

(Weird… Even after continuing searching, we still found nothing?) – thought Blueberry.

(Was this golem army just distraction then?)

"…"

"Can you check if- "

[The call has ended.]

"?"

"Did…. Did she accidently hang up?"

(Did something happened on her end?)

(Maybe she was attacked or something….. But-)

"Empress! Empress Blueberry!" – said the vampire general Arias as she suddenly landed near Blueberry.

"Enemy army was spotted heading this way!"

"And this isn't small army either! There are multiple legions of the holy kingdom heading this way!"

"Where?!" – asked Blueberrey, before moments later the vampire general flew away with Blueberry flying after her.

The pair headed right towards the wall, before then landing on top of it.

"!?"

"What the hell is this?!" – asked Blueberry as she could see a large army heading towards the city from very far away, even without using her telescope.

Blueberry took out her telescope from the inventory and observed the army from afar.

"…"

"How did they get here?" – asked Blueberry.

"How did a large army as this one got so close to us without noticing them before?! What happened to our scouts?!"

"We don't know! We completely lost contact with them!" – said the vampire general.

"…."

(Shit….)

"Okay…. I can't contact ClownFrog…. They did something." – said Blueberry.

"What?! You can't contact the emperor?!" – asked the vampire general.

"Yea… Was there anything? Like any sort of magical, light or anything that stood out before they appeared? They must be using something to disturb the signal." – asked Blueberry.

(Considering that I've also lost contact with Rampage, it would mean that the problem is on our side.)

"…"

"Shit!"

"Relay my order!"

"Send some of our elite forces to search the city and look for anything that stands out! Sigils, magic circles or maybe weird items! Find and destroy them!"

"And rest of the army prepare for the combat!"

"This will be a large scale battle."
