Chapter 575 - 576 – War is here – Part 2.
"Okay. So here we have an options." – said GreyHunt.
"The first option is to go first for both smaller kingdoms, destroy them and then just attack holy kingdom from 3 different directions alongside the beastman kingdom."
"The second option would be to instead launch an attack on the holy kingdom from the get go and then deal with two smaller kingdoms afterwords."
"And the third option would be to keep focusing on the defense and wait until enemy tires themselves out."
"Those are our options."
"However, we can all agree that option 3 is going straight out of the window."
"Holding out against the holy kingdom that can heal injured and allow soldiers to be alive for much longer and allow them to fight again, alongside the dwarven kingdom that are pretty much destroying everything even if they don't win a fight is pretty much death sentence."
"The longer the battle last, it is more advantageous to them."
"But that is really not the case."
"We have our own healers AND we have a lot of necromancers."
"We can turn the enemy soldiers into undeads or have vampires turn the enemies into feral vampires and have them attack their own allies."
"So it more like dead lock."
"The longer the fight last, the more BOTH sides would suffer."
"Yes. This is correct." – said the vampire general.
"However, we can't really go with that option for 2 more reasons."
"There is a chance that the elves are planning something, so exhausting ourselves too much could prove fatal."
"…"
"And there is also an chance that the son of a bitch "benefactor" could be involved in this war again." – said pissed off vampire general.
"Yes. There is a good chance that either elves or "benefactor" are planning something if not are already doing something." – said Oron.
"Which is why we need to act and try to end this war as soon as possible or maybe just have an advantage against our enemies."
"…"
"I will say this from get go, but I can't go." – said ClownFrog.
"I'm needed here, on this side against the dwarves."
"These bastards are far more trickier than we had believed…. And to make things more annoying, they are now deploying some long range cannons that can bombard us from far away."
"We have same kind of cannons thanks to the Blueberry, so we can fire back at them."
"But obviously we cannot be everywhere all the time…. And those guys are not holding back at all. They are going all out."
"…"
"Welp. Then I guess we really need to decide between option 1 or 2." – said GreyHunt.
"The problem is which option we should chose."
"And when we chose one, we would also need more soldiers."
"If we were to attack the holy kingdom, those two smaller kingdoms may decide to launch an stronger attack AND there is also the fact that we would be one attacking this time as well, meaning that the enemies would have an advantage of defense."
"Hm…."
(That is a problem.) – thought ClownFrog.
(We do have soldiers to spare and stuff…. But the problem is that we are still unsure if elves would join the war or not…. And if "Benefactor" is really involved again…. Then things could end up problematic.)
(We need those extra soldiers on stand by in case of emergency.)
(The best way to extra troops would be to use necromancers and vampires.)
"…"
(Beastmen cannot lend too much of their own troops to us, since they also need to worry about their own kingdom safety.)
"…"
"Should I go and assassinate the pope king?" – asked Oron.
"There is also that option."
"…"
"Hm… It does sound good…. And unlike before, we are not restricted by anything like that." – said red antman.
"…"
(True… In this world, the word "war crime" isn't exactly the same like in the real world.) – thought ClownFrog.
(Some may say that necromancy is war crime, but it is really not at all.)
(Not only that, but you can assassinate the opposing leaders.)
(However, assassination has its own downsides.)
(For example, in the war against Oin empire, we needed to "prove" ourselves and "Show off" our power…. And assassination would be seen as coward way out.)
(But this time is different.)
(We already proven ourselves and the holy kingdom had proven themselves as "mad and greedy aggressors". So, I don't really think there would be no problem with us assassinating them.)
(But the problem is that Oron is far too well known for his assassinations.)
(He is currently one of the highest ranking assassins AND snipers in the game.)
(The holy kingdom probably are aware of it thanks to the players that are on their side.)
"…"
"…"
"Nah. Forget it." – said Shri that suddenly appeared on Oron mirror.
"I mean, I've looked up the reports and stuff, and it is not just the pope king or just two greedy kings. It's their entire nations, right? Their higher up are also pieces of crap, so wouldn't they just replace their shitty leaders with another one that has same mind set?"
"…"
"Hm….. Yea, this maybe correct if I'm being honest." – said vampire general.
"The enemy maybe just replace one head with another."
"…."
"Hm…. Well, if this is really the case, then assassination would be useless, wouldn't it?" – said ClownFrog.
"That means we really have only 2 plans of actions."
(But these god damned elves…. I don't trust them one fucking bit!) – thought annoyed ClownFrog.
(What if we as soon as we move our reserved troops or launch an invasion, we would then get instantly attacked by the elves?)
(But waiting isn't also going to help us…. If anything, it would weakened us and that would create another and way better opening for the elves.)
"…"
"Then why won't we instead do something else?" – asked GreyHunt.
"Do we really need to attack our enemies in brute force way? What if we attack enemy from behind?"
"…"
"I'm listening." – said ClownFrog.
<<So, here is GreyHunt plan.>>
<<Aim? Maq kingdom.>>
<<GreyHunt plan was to sneak behind enemy lines of defense and destroy their supply lines as well as take down some of the major settlements, such as city in order to hinder their retreat.>>
<<But the problem is WITH getting behind past the enemy.>>
<<The most obvious answer would be sea, but we can also be attacked from it by the enemies.>>
<<Not only that, but our naval forces aren't currently at their best, since we needed to have an heavy focus on our land AND we also had both pirate problem as well as sea monster problem.>>
<<So, when it comes down to the sea, we need to full focus on defending it and we have no resources to spare on it to launch an invasion from the sea.>>
<<We were even attacked from the sea by the enemy already, so yea… They are trying to get here via sea.>>
<<But that is not what GreyHunt proposed.>>
<<He said that we should sent an small team of elite soldiers to sneak past enemy lines and destroy enemy supply lines.>>
<<And then as soon as the enemy are weakened, we would launch an full force assault, breaking through damage enemy broken lines of the defense, before then launching an invasion that would conquer the entire kingdom of Maq in extremely short amount of time.>>
<<This would not give time for the "holy alliance" to send reinforcements in time and it would result in not only Maq kingdom getting conquered, but it would also put a pressure on the alliance, alongside the fact that we would now have way more directions where we could send out attacks from.>>
<<…. Honestly, GreyHunt plan is simple…. And quiet predicable.>>
<<The enemy may see that kind of attack coming…. But if this plan really works, then we could pretty much "screw" the entire alliance quiet quickly.>>
<<….>>
"Alright. You have green lights from me." – said ClownFrog.
"If this plan works, we could possible end this war quiet quickly."
"But isn't this…. Well, to plain?" – asked vampire general.
"There is no way the enemy wouldn't realize that we are planning something, especially when some of our top combatants are missing."
"Yeb. I know it." – said GreyHunt.
"These guys maybe greedy fools, but there is no bloody way that all of them are really idiots. There are probably some people that can think and stuff."
"So, we would need an distraction."
"An distraction that would make them think we are planning something different."
"And for that, I would need Blueberry to make me something."
"After everything is done, our troops would sneak past the enemy and then launch our real plan."
"…"
"Does anybody have any objections regarding GreyHunt plan?" – asked ClownFrog.
"Ask now. Don't be hesitant."
"…"
Some of the generals talked between themselves and their advisors, but overall, there was nobody really speaking up expect asking some small questions.
"…"
"So, nobody?" – asked ClownFrog.
"…"
"Well then, fine."
"GreyHunt. Your operation have an full approval."
"Use what ever resources you can use to make that operation succeed."
"Heh."
"Don't worry." – said GreyHunt.
"There is no bloody way that these idiots will be able to stop me."
