[VRMMO] Dead One

Arthur was indeed the hero they had been searching for and these 5 years of struggle had confirmed it. It confirmed it all.

However, Arthur was still human and he had limits.

It wasn't the Caliburn that made him into the hero and the sword only purpose was that of a trail.

With his own power as an human, he could become something greater than any heroes before him, even the gods themselves that were once heroes.

However, Caliburn won't do it.

However, it can't be any ordinally weapon.

It was symbol of the Knight King – King of knights.

If Arthur were to lose it or stop using it, there could be some back lash.

So, he needs his sword as an symbol.

But the problem is that the Caliburn was already an powerful sword and it used the power of a story, an power of memories and the power of adventure that their daughter accumulated.

They could steal some random powerful hero weapon, but would that work? Not only that, but the sacrificed weapon would need a lot of power and story, if they wish to manifest the said story in an form of a blade.

Not only that, but the said story needs to be very similar to that of a Caliburn.

"We cannot make an new weapon that isn't related to Caliburn."

They needed to make an weapon that would be like an Caliburn, but much more stronger while also being Caliburn.

An brand new Caliburn.

But the problem is how to make it.

Not only it needs to be stronger, but just having it around should also grants special ability…. An ability that would help in the user recovery while also making sure they would age slower if not at all in order for them to remain in their prime.

However, this was an tall deal, since they couldn't turn Arthur into inhuman being. HE NEEDED TO BE HUMAN.

But how can they make him human?

Maybe they will make him drink an potion of youth? But its effect is only makes the target younger while also noticeable extending life span.

However, this methods have way too many drawbacks and problems, with first being greed. Humans would murder thousand in order to gain that water and securing that water in the first place is challenging enough.

Other would be some way of granting immortality… But that won't work either.

The immortality would make him seen inhumane.

So…. The only thing would be "energize", "regeneration" and "youth". This is the only limit they can break.

But the question is how?

How they can do it?

They need to make all 3 of these effects personal so that nobody would be able to have them expect for the Arthur.

And the same goes for the new Caliburn.

The new sword needs to be way stronger than his current one.

And so, the search started.

It took an whole year, but they did it. They found the being that would be able to grant the said blessing with would be able to fulfil all 3 limits.

An ancient spirit fairy.

With her blessing and water, they could create an blessing that would be Arthur and his alone.

But there was an problem.

She was able to see through their madness and see their evil.

She knew that the two beings in front of her were nothing more than monsters.

The blessing they needed and could use when crafting the new blade.

However, the problem is the blade itself.

What will be used to create it?

They needed to find an way to kill her before she could do anything.

There also is the problem with the crafting process…. Since those that helped them before may not be willing to do it again, considering how the lady of a lake acted.

A lot needed to be done and a lot of things needed to be prepared while also looking for possible perfect situation where all of it could happened.

And so, they started planning, preparing the stage in secret so that Erza wouldn't notice anything and warn her husband.

It did took years to prepare it and wait for the right moment, but it finally came.

The preparations had been taken and the proper timing had finally came after the years of waiting.

Merlin and Morgan betrayed Erza, filling her to the brim with blind range, with resulted in her falling in the trap prepared by her parents.

And now the plan had started.

With his daughter death, he instantly bringed her sealed corpse to the place of a birth where the Caliburn was first created.

However, it was not twisted and corrupted while also beings that helped in the creation of the blade were tortured and enslaved.

And so…. The work had begun.

Erza body was destroyed as she screamed in agony as each part of her soul was torn to shreds alongside her body.

The reason why Arthur went on the expedition alongside some of his knights was to slay the mad dragon that had been corrupted by the agent of chaos.

However, the said dragon was nowhere to be found.

The "dragon" was an brother of the mad king that the Arthur had once slain and so he took the throne of the Brittan.

The dragon killed Sir Pellinore and took on his form right before they set off, pretending to be the loyal knight.

Sir Pellinore rushed at the Arthur who tried to defend himself with his sword, but as soon as he did, the Caliburn would shatter right in front of the Knight King.

The false knight laughed as he explained that he given up everything.

He knew that he would not beat Arthur so instead he gave up on his own dragon body and even his soul in order to break the Caliburn.

He killed himself and countless other lives, all in order to break his holy sword.

He laughed until the posses body of the Sir Pellinore had finally broke free from the mad dragon control and had finally died alongside the mad dragon.

But in reality as you may already suspect, it was Morgan.

However, it wasn't the end as Arthur alongside his knights were attacked by the countless different monsters.

Even without his Caliburn, Arthur was able to cut down the countless monsters, but even so, the destruction of his sword had caused some of his knights morals to drop, with resulted in their obvious deaths.

However, just in time Merlin arrived, slaying the monsters.

"Merlin?! What are you doing here?!"

"Your wife said that she sense an unseen danger that could kill you around the corner and she instantly ordered me go and see what had happened…. And by the look of things, she was right…. What happened?" – asked Merlin.

"The Caliburn…. It was destroyed." – said Arthur as he showed the destroyed and shattered blade.

"On my way here, I saw several corrupted spirit dragons… They are planning to destroy Brittan."
