Chapter 400 - 401 – Green Antmans attack.
[Current location: Newly build village outside the Bloody Mountains.]
"Man… This is boring." – said member of the Red Lion guild as he wanders around through the village.
"Hey. Pipe it down." – said another player as he hit the other player.
"Just accept that we have an easy job and easy pay."
"But still! I want to fuking hunt!" – said annoyed member of the Red Lion guild.
"I joined the Red Lion guild to hunt and not play some politics. Its just AAAHg!"
"Stop making some stupid noises mate." – said the other member of the Red Lion guiled.
"Besides. You knew what you signed in for since this is an ranker guild."
"And you were already aware of this being an guild that is very tied to the empire, so having do that kind of tasks was expected."
"But!"
"But what?" – asked the other player.
"…. Fuck you." – said annoyed player.
"But anyway, why the hell are we here anyway?"
"…."
"Are…. Are you…. Did you not heard what our job was?! Did you straight up forgotten or did not listen at all?!" – said the other player with the look of disbelieve on his face.
"Em…."
"I'm going to punch you if you say "Yes"." – said the other player as he was getting ready to swing his fist.
"Okay! Okay! Sorry!" – said first player.
"…."
"Em…. Can you refresh my memory?"
"…."
"You…. Oh, my fuking god…. FINE!" – said the second player as he held back from swinging his fist.
"Fallow me." – said the player as he took his friend behind an house in order to have an private conversation.
"Okay. This should do it." – said the player as he looked around.
"Okay. You will now listen to me and you will REMEMBER what I will tell you.
"We were send here as an reinforcement to watch over the construction of this place."
"The first prince, our guild employer, have ordered us to make sure this place get build safely."
"Eh? Why us?" – asked annoyed player.
"Listen you fucker since this is important!" – said now very annoyed second player.
"Do you see the thing there?" – said the player as he pointed towards the Bloody Mountains in the distance.
"This place is called Bloody Mountains and its one of the 3 great zones located in the empire."
"And that place is filled to the brim with monsters."
"It's an high level hunting ground that can easily kill players, but if strong enough players go there, they would not only get rich but would also level up a lot nonstop."
"Our guild would benefit from this all, since we would get an exclusive base here, meaning that each of us would be able to hunt to our heart content."
"And the first prince forces would benefit from it, since not only they would have an solid base for hunting and leveling up, but they would be also be able to obtain many from of materials and treasures from that place, meaning that the first prince faction would become both richer and stronger, and that would include players like us."
"?" – the first player noticed something and took out his spy glass.
"AND PLAYERS THAT ARE FROM THE RED LION WOULD BENEFIT FROM IT EVEN MORE!"
"Do you understand?"
"So shut up and play the long game."
"Once this place turns into an some well developed village or town, we will be allowed to hunt."
"And once this place reaches the rank of the city and above, our entire guild will probably will start hunting here."
"You may find it boring and everything, but...HEY!"
"Are you listening to me?!" – shouted the second player as he saw his player looking away.
"…. Say…. In the nutshell we were send here to defend this place and oversee the construction. Yes?" – asked the first player while looking through the spy glass.
"Its not in the nutshell. It's the whole plot you dumbass!" – said annoyed player.
"Em… But from what exactly?" – asked the first player.
"Obviously from the stuff like bandits and especially monsters, since we are- "
"Yea! Monsters! LIKE THOSE?!" – shouted the player as he pointed something while handing his spy glass to his friend.
"?" – the second player annoyingly but curiosity took the spy glass from his friend and used it.
"…."
"Oh...OH SHIT!" – shouted the player.
"RAISE THE FUKING ALARM! RAISE THE MOTHEFUCKING ALARM!"
"A FUKING STAMAPDE IS COMING!"
What the player just said was correct.
Right outside the newly build village, an giant horde of monster have emerged from the Bloody Mountains territory and was running straight towards newly build nameless village.
The army of the green antmans wearing an armor and riding on the max rhinos as well as spiders mountain were getting closer and closer towards village.
"ALARM! RASIE THE ALARM!" – shouted the Red Lion player as he ran through the village with his friend.
"Hm? Alarm?" – said the guard who noticed the players.
"THE FUKING MONSTER STAMPEDE IS COMING THIS WAY! RAISE THE MOTHERFUCKING ALARM NOW!" – shouted the panicking player.
"DO YOU HEAR ME?! RAISE THE ALARM! NOW!"
The guards were confused at first, but upon seeing the man desperation, they realized the player wasn't lying and the alarm in the village was instantly raised.
The guards had also quickly spotted the stampede in question from afar.
"Shit! What the hell is going on here?!" – said the guard as he stood on top of the wall made out of earth magic.
"We had never anything like that before! Why the hell so many monsters are coming at us now?! This doesn't make any sense?!" – said another guard who was using an spy glass.
"And what the hell are those things?! Ants?!"
"And they are also wearing armor?! Demi human monsters of all the fuking things?!"
"Still, it doesn't look like they are wearing anything flashy or special, I think they made some primitive version." – said another guard.
[Flash back.]
"Okay. So here is the armor." – said Blueberry as she place the antman armor and weapon on the table.
"?"
"Em… Why is it like this?" – asked GreyHunt.
"Yea…. I honestly though it would be something flashy." – asked the confused antman king.
"Heh. Don't worry about it." – said Blueberry.
"Boss told us to make them look like this. But in reality, they are not some trash."
"?" – GreyHunt picked up an armor piece off the table.
"…."
"Oh…. Oh shit. It does look like some random piece of armor, but this stuff is quite good?" – said GreyHunt.
"Huh… You are right. This is quite good." – said the antman king as he inspected the plain spear.
"But why make it look like this?"
"Yea. This is an good question." – asked GreyHunt.
"Heh. The boss planned it like this." – said Blueberry.
"If the antmans don't have too much developed weapons, they will think that the antmans can only use basic crafting, so they wouldn't think much of the antmans weapons and armor."
"However, this was an side reason and the main reason was completely different."
"It's to conceal ourselves."
"If we give antmans anything extremely flashy, it will make the empire more scared and too much curios about the antmans equipment."
"I mean, an army that wears extremely flashy legendary armors and the army in question came out of the blue would definitely cause the empire to get too much interested."
"So we needed to make the equipment look as plain as possible, while also making it as good as possible for mass produced equipment."
"…. Huh… That does make sense." – said GreyHunt.
"Well, even though its not flashy, its still seem extremely good."
"Yes." – said the antman king.
"This will be more than enough."
[Back to the present.]
"…."
(It seems that the they had noticed the antmans.) – though ClownFrog who was flying high above in the sky to make it hard for anybody to see him and was also using an skill called [Lost Eye], an necromantic mist spell that creates an eye that grants vision.
ClownFrog was flying high in the air and afar from the army, while also using his [Lost Eye] to observe the situation from the safe distance while also using skill [Mist Trick] to make himself look blurred out, so nobody would see him from afar properly or straight up be invisible in people eyes.
(The antmans are properly charging into the town and none of them deserted so far. Good.)
(But let's see how things will go. If worst comes to worst. I will have to give some hidden assistance.)
"Shit! How many are there?!" – asked the knight on top of the wall.
"A lot! But it doesn't look like an massive stampede." – replied the knight.
"However, they have an cavalry and armor. This will be tough!"
"We don't have enough men to deal with this situation! Even though its not stampede, there is straight up too many of these unknown monsters!"
(Dammit! What the hell?!) – though the panicking knight.
(I was only just assigned here! And now we have an monster invasion out of a blue?! And demi human monsters one on top of that?!)
(The guards morals dropped and I honestly don't think we can defend ourselves if those monsters are strong on top of being armed.)
(We have no choice but to hold out until the nearest garrison sends the reinforcements.)
(Gods. Watch over us.)
