[VRMMO] Dead One

"Hey." – said the voice in the dark.

"Why do I still hear and feel their presence? Explain yourself."

"T-the enemy…. The enemy is sat at our nest." – said the giant antman monsters that instead of two legs had a multiple legs like an ant.

"…. What?" – asked the voice in the dark that poked out its head, revealing is dragon like figure.

"!" – the antman began sweating.

"You are saying, you did not stopped them and they even got all they way to the nest?"

"I told you not to disturb my recovery and yet you allowed them to get here?"

"!"

"F-forgive us god! But the enemy is stronger than we had though!" – said the panicking antman while bowing its head.

"Our soldiers are getting turned into corpse and made to fight us! The enemy dragon leader is a necromancer!"

"Not only that, some of the monster tribe leaders have been turned against us!"

"…."

"Explain." – said the dragon as its eye opened.

"A-ash you wish!" – said the antman before then starting to explain in details the situation outside the nest.

"…. So…. The invaders aren't some idiots, eh? They probably wanted to catch us off guard after the battle against the spider ruler."

"Tsk."

(I though those things were nothing more than insects, but to think they can make that kind of mess.)

(I really didn't wanted to use these things yet, but I guess I have no choice.) – thought the dragon as it reached towards the pile of the weird big fruits with spikes sprouting from them before then picking them up.

"Continue fighting."

"Since I will be joining the fight soon."

While the feathered dragon was preparing itself to finally join in the battle, the situation outside was turning even more chaotic.

Both of the armies have already been clashing with each other for a long time and again and again the filed was getting filled with corpse.

However, the tights had changed in the Purple Hyena favor.

Reason?

ClownFrog.

The demon lord like ability of the Dead One were able to continuedly make undeads from the corpse of the fallen enemies into the allies.

Obviously, with how many monsters were also getting killed the Purple Hyena side, the numbers of monsters on their side were also dropping by a lot, resulting in the ClownFrog being forced to retreat from the battle and only focus on making undeads as well as drinking potions.

However, that strategy turned out to be effective as the elite as well as boss type monsters that were slain were now getting turned into allies.

Obviously, some of those allies had already perished though the battle, but the tactic of focusing on brining enemy forces back to life seemed successful as it allowed the Purple Hyena to push the feathered dragon forces back.

However, even though the Purple Hyena guild had started slowly winning, something was still not sitting right with them.

"…."

"Okay. I call that a bullshit." – said GreyHunt while decapitating the antman with his extendable arm blade.

"Where the hell is that feathered dragon?!"

"Even if was injured or something, it should have popped out already!?"

"Maybe…... Maybe it died from the poison from the spider ruler?" – replied Shri who was strangling to death a blue skinned giant with her whip.

"I mean…. It is a possibility and stuff…. But isn't this…... I say its bullshit." – said GreyHunt while shooting down the antman that charged at him.

"Those monsters are either real fallowers or slaves, but either answer won't answer this thing."

"If the feathered dragon was really dying or was at the death door, those enslaved monsters would run away or do a rebellion."

"Monsters can be stupid, but there obviously some smarter ones, especially elites and boss monsters that are often noticeable smart than regular versions."

"So, I say its bullshit that the feathered dragon is either dead or is at the death doors."

"…."

"Wait, so does that mean it ran away?" – asked Shri after finishing off the giant.

"What? No! Why would…...Shit." – said GreyHunt upon realizing something.

"Yea...Shit…. It could have escaped…."

"?!"

"Wait, you can't be fuking serios! You were supposed to say NO right now!" – said Shri.

"I know!" – replied GreyHunt before dodging a spear and then showing his wrist blade into the antman head, killing it.

"But we are dealing with definitely very intelligent dragon! So, who says that it cannot think of possibility to run away? We made NPCs and monsters run away from us before, so what says that the feathered dragon can't just run away?!"

"Or the reason why it didn't appeared yet was maybe because its preparing something?!

"Fuck!"

"Boss! Go fuking all out! The feathered dragon maybe trying to escape us or is trying to do something behind the scenes!" – said panicking GreyHunt.

"…."

"Tch. Never mind."

"Forget it." – said GreyHunt.

"?"

"Wait, forget the feathered dragon?! But we came here to kill him?!" – said confused Shri.

"Yea, but can we even gave chase?" – asked GreyHunt.

"We need to eliminate those monsters here no matter if that guy is running away or preparing something and if we rush it, we could end up being fucked."

"So, we cannot do anything about it, expect for us to fight like….?"

"Hm? Why did you suddenly went all silent?" – asked Shri.

"Well… That." – said GreyHunt while pointing with his gun in the direction he was looking at.

From afar, GreyHunt had spotted a huge group of the antmans coming from afar.

However, with the skill [Eagle Eye] and [Scout Eye], GreyHunt could see the antmans way better from afar and could easily tell that the monsters coming were much different.

Unlike the previous antmans they had fought before, these antmans were more "Ant" than the other antmans they had fought before.

These antmans had a lower half of an ant with multiple legs and the size of these antmans were noticeable bigger while also possessing four arms.

Not only that, but the whole equipment that was worn by these antmans were wearing noticeable better quality equipment.

"…. Okay… New variants again… And considering how late they got here means that they are some sort of high ranking elites or something?" – deduced GreyHunt.

"But there is…. Well…. Around 20? Maybe 25? I don't know really, but definitely not too many."

"…. So, are they like a boss monster? Every single one of them?" – asked Shri.

"Do you think I can tell that from- "

"?!"

GreyHunt swinged his sword, hitting and repelling a spear that was launched towards him by one of the new antmans variants.

"…. Okay…. Yea. These guys maybe bit problematic." – said GreyHunt.

The new antmans that had made their appearance began shouting before then slowly running towards GreyHunt and Shri while speeding up more and more until they began running at full speed towards them, alarming the two as the GreyHunt began firing at them with his gun while Shri cracked her whip midair, creating an blast of demonic energies that flew towards the ants, hitting some of them, but not stopping the ants charge at all while they continue their charge while also closing the distance between them.

"They are not stopping!" – shouted GreyHunt as he continues firing his guns.

"I fuking see that!" – replied Shri while also firing long range attacks before then suddenly stopping swinging her whip around.

"[Bomb Beetle Swarm]!"

Shri released a horde of the beetle from her palm that flew towards the ant monsters and upon getting close to them, the beetles began lighting up and then exploding, causing a chain reaction of the small explosions that hit the ant monsters.

The dust kicked up, creating a small cloud of dust, but the duo did not cared as they continues unleashing their range attacks towards the cloud of dust, but as they unleashed their next barrage of the range attacks, the antman monsters emerged from the cloud and once again continues their charge towards them while using their arms and weapons to defend themselves.

Before long, one of the antmans used the pile of the corpse as the ramp, climbing on top of it and jumping from top of it towards the duo while the spear and forcing them to quickly get away from their current location as the antman landed on the ground and stabbing it with its spear.

The monster turned towards Shri, but then it was hit right in the back of its head with the explosive bullet, but even after getting hit like that, the monster head was still intact and if anything, it now turned around to face surprised GreyHunt.

"Oh." – said GreyHunt.

The antman rushed towards GreyHunt, swinging and thrusting its spear towards GreyHunt, forcing him to extend his sword blades and block the attacks while also trying to gain the distance.

Shri prepared herself to swing her whip at the monster, but then she activated [Whip Block], forcing and defensive barrier made out of her whip that blocked two javelins that came flying towards her, blocking and repelling them away, before another new antman variant grabbed the javelins midair and tried attacking Shri by thrusting four javelins towards her, but not managing to hit her as she quickly retreated away with the skill, gaining the distance.

"…Okay." – said Shri.

"So, you bastards know how to fight? Huh?"

"But do you really think it is enough to beat me." – said Shir before whistling, calling to her side the insect owl who had evolved into a giant owl version of the monster called [Night Overwatcher Beetle Owl] as well as the purple cobra wolf.

"Think fuking again you trash bastards."
