[VRMMO] Dead One

[Current location – Oin empire – Dock city of Dabin.]

"Okay! Pull up!" – said the man while working with other people that were lifting up a catched fishes in the net onto the cart.

"Done. Move out and bring the next one." – said the other man with eyepatch.

"Hey Michel." – said the tall man while approaching the group of man that were loading fishes onto the carts.

"Yea?" – replied the muscular man with eyepatch.

"Is it me or we have less fishes than we should have?" - asked the man after coming closer to the man named Michel.

"Nope. You are right." – replied Michel.

"Lately there have been more of these devil sharks near our fishing zones, they ate some of our fishes."

"We even saw some of them and needed to escape."

"Shit. Yea, this is a problem." – said the man while holding clipboard.

"I guess I will inform the soldiers about this and ask them to deal with this."

"Anyway, continue your job and I will go and inform the boss and soldiers about the situation." – said the man before walking away.

This place is called Dabin.

Its one of the most prosperous dock cities that belong to the empire.

This place was relatively peaceful, but there were pirates here and there, forcing the city to create their own private army and naval forces to counter them.

So, yea, the pirates weren't real that big of a threat.

However, this place ended up suffering some damage after the third prince had "Borrowed" some of their ships for transporting soldiers, only not to return them ever again.

Well, they did suffered some damage because of that, but this place was still consider "Peaceful" and it was one of the best sources of income since they provide good amount of sea goods.

(However, because of that stupid lord, he is asking us to fish more fishes since the third prince he supported ended up straight up destroying our ships.) – though the large man with clipboard.

(We don't have any bandits or the pirates related problems right now since we had dealt with them in past, but we do need ships in order to deal with any monsters on the sea that makes an appearance.)

(And because that idiot tells us to increase our range of activities, we are running into monsters or more dangerous part of the sea more often.)

(We need to increase the range of our naval ships that needs to deal with the monsters since not only we had more casualties, but also more monsters were finding openings to get to our fishing zones that we had before.)

(That idiot lord screwed up big time... For fuck sake. All of this happened because of that succession war.)

(Everybody wants their faction to win since they would both the influence and the power.)

(And our lord completely changed because of that. He became greedier and stuff.)

(Still, maybe this time he will understand the situation that we cannot extend our fishing zones right now considering our current situation and should focus only on our territory first beforehand.)

[Later that evening at the bar.]

"MOTHERFUCKER!" – said the tall man while slamming his mug beer against the table.

"H-hey, Angelo. Calm down." – said the man named Michel.

"Fuck…. I just don't get it." – said the man named Angelo.

"He did said he will send soldiers to deal with those sharks, but he said that there is no need to shrink our fishing zone."

"For crying out loud, we had casualties."

"…." – the man drinked from his mug.

"Fuck!"

"…."

"He changed completely for the worse."

"Yea, you tell me." – said Michel.

"Right now, we are not facing that big of a problems, but the longer this goes one, the more problems will appear."

"Especially the fact that we are hunting too many fishes. There will be less fishes since not enough fishes reproduced AND it will also provoke the predators. Maybe some of the attacks of these monsters was caused by our actions."

"However, the merchants seem to support that idiot lord of ours since they also getting profit."

"…."

"We may be forced to go on the strike at this rate before any real danger pops up." – said the Angelo.

"?!"

"Wait, are you seriously suggesting that?!" – asked Michel.

"Yea."

"Considering the current situation, we are put in too much danger."

"I won't mind if we have to extend our fishing zone, but we need higher security, meaning more ships meant for combat."

"And we also need more workers."

"The lord can threaten us with soldiers, but he will lose no matter what he does."

"Speaking off the third prince, how is the faction war going?" – asked the Angelo.

"Hm…. I don't know. Please wait." – said the Michle before standing up and walking away before comings few moments later with a young man wearing a hat.

"This is Tom. He is one of the good merchant we both know." – said Michel while introducing the merchant.

"Yea, I know him. He isn't asshole like the rest of the merchants and he knows his stuff."

"Say, do you know what is going on with the empire right now? I'm talking about the faction war between the first, second, third princes and the first princess." – asked Angelo.

"Hm…. Well, it's bit long story, since a lot have happened." – said the merchant.

"Don't worry, just tell us." – said Angelo.

"Okay." – said the merchant.

It all started after the first and the third prince had completely lost contact with the invasion force.

However, thanks to the adventures, the situation was revealed.

The invasion forces was completely destroyed by the demonic kingdom forces and were completely removed.

The entire invasion force that was idea of the first and the third prince as well as their factions ended up brining no benefits but only gigantic loses in both the resources and soldiers.

Apparently, the even dying emperor got so angry to the point he ignored his sickness only to yell at them and say what they did was stupid and that they were forbidden from doing anything like attacking different continents across the seas until one of them would become an emperor.

It was no surprise that he did that, since if he didn't do that, there will be way more problems instead, so you could say that in a sense he protected the two princes by yelling at them.

However, both factions took the big hit in the process and ended up slowing in the succession race.

The first prince had other tricks up their sleeve, including a group elite adventures, so he was making a recovery, but the third prince? Uff. He wasn't so lucky and he is even suffering the after effect even now.

The second prince and the first princess used this opportunity to grow in strength.

The second prince political power got even stronger AND he had also made some of his own forces grow in strength in order to deal with monster stampeded that occurred recently, gaining even more support.

The first princess on the other hand had made many different connections outside empire, securing trade with them and boosting the economic situation of the empire.

Currently, the situation with the faction war is like this.

First place – Second prince.

Second place – First princess.

Third place – First prince.

Fourth place – Third prince.

The first prince still hold a lot of power, so he may overtake the first princess at some time, but the third prince is still in big mess.

Apparently, the first and the third prince factions had stopped their alliance and became enemies once again and this in turn made the third prince faction lose even more power.

"Hm…... Wait, then why the hell the idiot lord is still part of the third prince faction if they are losing that badly?" – asked Michel.

"Well, its more like he is stuck with them." – said merchant.

"He maybe in the last place right now, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any influence."

"Not only that, he invested a lot into the third prince faction, so if he left that faction, he would face huge loses in the process AND the other factions may not accept him considering how much he helped the third prince."

"But at this rate he will bring this city to the ruins with his greed for power and influence." – said the Michel.

"Well, then I guess we will have to go on the strike anyway." – said Angelo.

"With how things are, the lord will have to either step down or cooperate with us. If he won't take no for the answer, then we may try to cooperate with the other faction in order to survive and overthrow that idiot before he takes us down with him."

"However, it will take time for that to happened, but considering the current circumnutates, it will be easy to gather people and even our boss is on our side."

"What about you Tom?"

"…."

"Hm…... Okay. I will help out." – said merchant.

"Those corrupted merchant are annoyance to me and other merchants and would like them out of the picture."

"I will try making some contacts that may you out, but I won't be able to personally step in since I need to defend myself as well."

"Don't worry, you are doing already more than enough." – said Rolando.

"Yea. Still, thank you for everything." – said Angelo.

"Well then, I wonder what face this bastards of a lord will make once he finds out he is screwed!"

The fisherman in the tavern throwed an rough party where everybody got drunk without a care all night long.

Before long the everybody would return home drunk, calling it a night.

[Next day – At the sea.]

A large battleship was traversing the sea, bearing the symbol of the Dabin city.

"Okay. Listen up you all." – said the soldier.

"I know you are all tired, but we need to do it."

"The monsters we exterminated before had been dealt with, but we don't know if there is any more of them lurking around."

"So, we will inspect the area here and- "

"…"

The man stopped after realizing how unsatisfied the soldiers were.

"…"

(Fuck. That idiot lord decision is affecting the soldiers morals…... Maybe I should accept that guy offer regarding the revolt against that idiotic lord.)

(….)

(Still, job is a job.)

"I know you all are annoyed and all, but the sooner we do it the sooner we can go home."

"So, stop whining and- "

"Capitan!" – shouted the man on the crow nest.

"What is it? Monsters?!" – shouted the capitan back.

"NO! Look on your right!" – shouted the man.

"?"

"?!"

When the man looked to his right, he saw a ship approaching towards them.

"HEY!" – shouted the capitan at the man in the crown nest.

"Who the hell are these people?! Are they pirates?"

"…."

"!"

"SIR!"

"This is one of the empire combat ships!"

"There is also two other smaller ships alongside it. They look like an transport type ships."

"?!" – the capitan was shocked.

(Empire ships?! Not some pirate ship or anything like this, but an ship belonging to the empire naval forces?!) – though the confused capitan.

(But…. What is it doing here?)

(We weren't informant about anything like this!)

(What the hell is going on?)
