[VRMMO] Dead One

"I want to ask about some stuff. Do you mind? If necessary, I will pay." – said ClownFrog.

(When it comes to the informations in this game, the information from the interested are most of the time 4th rate and the best sources of the informations are players and NPCs.)

(That girl may have been here longer than us, so she may know some stuff.)

"For example, did you run into anything weird or something that didn't make sense during your stay."

"Hm… Anything weird…. Well, beside those fanatics suddenly papering and attacking players, I don't think we encounter anything weird."

"We honestly got here only 5 days ago."

(Oh. Shit.)

(Well, that is very unfortunate. I though she maybe had some information about some weird stuff or some rumors that may give me some interesting informations.)

"But… Em… There was a weird thing."

"?"

"Well… When you were dealing with those fanatics, I saw some flying demons, but there were no trolls or golems. I did ran into these guys before, so I knew that first hand."

"!?"

"Wait, what?!"

(But the guys I fought with didn't had any flying demons?!)

(Not only that, she said she saw those flying demons herself?!)

(But wait, it doesn't make sense then!)

(Does that mean that there were two different armies of the fanatics?!)

(But according the areas that were attacked, the enemies aim was here?!)

(Not only that, the demon soldiers that came this way didn't mentioned anything!)

(Then where is the flying demon army?!)

(Was the army I fought with an distraction and the flying demons went around and tried doing an surprise attack?)

(The attention on me and the fanatics was the big focus for everybody.)

(They would have definitely used that chance to launch an attack. It was a perfect opportunity.)

(Not only that, most city guards were placed near the gate where the fanatics were coming from, but some of the guards would still remain around the wall to keep watch. They would have noticed some flying in the distance.)

"N-no. This is the only thing I found about the situation." – said the goblin girl.

"If you find something, weird about those fanatics, I can offer some payment for the information."

"Well then, I need to get going. See you in the future." – said ClownFrog before getting up.

After getting some info from that goblin girl, I began immediately looking for the guard capitan that is in charge of defending this place.

I honestly didn't took me long to find him.

I immediately began asking him about all different stuff, for example about "Was there anything flying near the city when it was being attacked?".

But he said no.

None of the guards saw anything.

There was nothing wrong or anything.

What the hell is going on?

Did somebody informed the fanatics about the situation and made them abandoned the main army? Was there a spy in the city that had a communication device?

Or, was the city never their target in the first place?

I even asked Lil and her guys to ask around and the fanatics that did killed players were flying demons.

Just what it's going on?

Where did the other army of the fanatics go?

And how did this different army of the fanatics took their place without anybody noticing?

This at least confirms we are not dealing with some random idiots, but a bastards that can use their brains.

I will have to talk about all this with the demon lord as well as the rest of the group about my findings.

But fuck me…. This will definitely drag on for quiet some time and it will be definitely very annoying.

If we just had few more members or something that can take of some smaller stuff.

Should I have recruited that goblin girl and her entire guild? She did said that her guild has 20 members beside her.

I know that we may not trust them or them us, but we need to increase our guild size ASAP.

Some popular guilds are also increasing their size with your average players.

But… Would we be able to handle these newbies?

I mean, they would be like minions, but would we somebody on top of them to lead them.

So maybe something like "Branches"? Like this?

Yea. It would work out… We need some stranger's players above average mob to be the branch leaders.

I will talk with rest of the guys first about this.

Well, even if they do agree, I don't know if we even can recruit her and her entire guild.

Not only that, the demon lord want only the "Strong Adventures", so she may not give them any work right now.

However, what we do have is something that they may want.

[10% bonus EXP while hunting in Umil kingdom.]

[Umil kingdom NPCs favorability and special discount from the merchants and other NPCs. (Bonus from having the guild being with the highest favorability level with the entire Umil kingdom as well as the mayor tribes.)]

[1% to all stats.]

If these guys are low level, then all of those things will be must have.

Not only that, but they would be able to level up way faster and get way better equipment faster.

As for the Lil and her friends who literally only joined our guild recently, they are above average and Lil herself is way stronger than any of those guys.

However, I want them to grow bit stronger and get a lot or titles.

I want them to be our core guilds members and I want them to be strong, so we would get a good foundation as well as some image for our guild.

So, yea, I meet up with the guild members and talked about…. Stuff.

"Okay. So, you want to start recruiting members left and right, but first we have to make these guys stronger, yes?" – asked Oron.

"Yeb."

"I know we already discussed this before, but we really need to think about starting to recruit regular members faster than we though." – said ClownFrog.

"We may have an army of the monsters that belong to me, Shri and Blueberry (Golems), but we need some players. Some others popular guilds are now recruiting some average nobodies just to make their guild grow in size."

"And you are saying, we should recruit that random goblin girl you meet?" – asked Lil.

"Yeb. But not now. First thing first, we need to focus on your growth and we also need some people, beside minions' members to lead them, since we ourselves will be definitely busy doing the heavy lifting."

"Hm… Make sense." – said GreyHunt.

"So, after making these guys strong enough, you want to recruit some people, make them stronger and then start recruiting your average joes to our guild?"

"Pretty much."

"…Meh. Okay. I'm fine with this plan." – said Shri.

"Anyway, what was the other thing you wanted to talk about?"

"Em…. Yea…"

I began…Explaining the annoying stuff and the conclusion about my theory.

"Well… She got us. We had already signed the contract with her and we have no way of backing away, unless we will pay fortune to pay the cost of the evolution potions, she gave us and who knows how much a single one of those potions costed." – said ClownFrog.

"So, yea… We got fucked by her hard."

"Fuck." – said Everybody.

"Can I drop kick her in the face when we meet her?" – asked Shri.

"No…. I really want to drop kick her in the face as well, but no." – said ClownFrog.

"Anyway, are we finally heading to the capital city as we planned?" – asked Howl.

"Yeb. We are pretty much done with this place AND I want to get the fuck out of here before we will have to deal with another fanatic's army." – said ClownFrog.

After all the necessary preparations and other stuff were done, we immediately left the city and began traveling on the road, trying to reach the capital city.

However, while we were ridding on the sand running lizards, we saw the scenery around us changing.

The grass was getting darker and more creepy trees and plants began appearing, pretty much making it look like we entered the "Real demonic kingdom" or something.

Honestly, it was kind of reminding me of that starting area I started playing at.

That graveyard town.

It kind of felt, nostalgic or something to me?

Anyway.

Our current appearance is bit different and we have new remembers in our guild, but people will definitely talk and spread the news about us.

People will ask questions, like "How did you made yourself look different?!" or something. Some people will definitely realized we did something like Rampage, since people are already aware that Rampage is a vampire, since she was sucking blood and all.

So, yea, we have no excuse not to be bother by random players and people know the fact that for 100% we are in the demonic kingdom.

And we also found out that the demonic kingdom is in fucked up state and there is some sort of conspiracy going on behind the scenes.

Anyway, it took us some time since the distance between the capital and the city was quiet long, but we managed to successfully arrive to the capital city of the demonic kingdom.

And now its time for us to meet up with the demon lord.
