Chapter 108 - 109 – Rescue on the battlefield.
[You have received the message from: Oron.]
["The ballistas and archers were taken care of."]
"!"
"Nice!"
(Well, I did spend a shit lot of time in this mine already. I did not expected to encounter that kind of heavy resistance in this place.)
"…"
["What about the gate? Did sobeks secured it?"] – ClownFrog.
["Yes. It took longer than we expected, since we ended up encountering a huge group of players. Fortunately, O'a and Blueberry were able to deal with them, but then we had a second group of players that hindered us. We dealt with them, but a lot of time had already passed. There is a good chance new players and the reinforcements from neighboring cities are coming"] – Oron.
"!"
(Shit.)
(Sobeks will probably have to split some of their forces to deal with the reinforcements and that would mean that getting to the gate would be bit more dangerous.)
["I understand. For now, help out the sobeks. I need distraction and I need a path for the slaves to use."] – ClownFrog.
["Got it."] – Oron.
(Hm… Things got complicated.)
(Sobeks cannot go wild until the slaves are rescued. But the problem is with getting to the gate that we used.)
(Even if we head straight there, we will definitely end up encountering enemy forces.)
(Not only that, we don't know if there would be an reinform nets of players and NPCs coming this way to support the Silver Sand city. We spend way too much time than we expected.)
(Anyway, we cannot stay here any longer.)
(As soon as slaves leaves the city, the sobeks would be able to finally go all out and destroy this place.)
"…"
"Hey! Is everybody ready? We are running out of time! We need to move!" – shouted ClownFrog.
(The slaves aren't in their best condition, especially lamias. This guys even after eating and resting up a bit will not be able to run at full strength.)
(The question is, with path should we take?)
(Should we head straight to the gate with high risk or should we go around and try to go unnoticed? But using that kind of path would take much longer to reach the gate AND we don't know if we wouldn't be discovered by enemy.)
(…)
(Second option may be more dangerous than the first option.)
(Then first option it is.)
(Next question: Undeads.)
(Bringing a lot of powerful undead may serve as good escort, but powerful undeads takes away more necro mastery points.)
(What I need right now are numbers.)
(There is more than 1000 slaves in here, including the lamias. Moving that kind of group with small elite of monsters would be an extremely bad idea.)
(I need to put a lot of undeads that will ram that will push through the city and some undeads at the back that will slow down the enemy that would chase us.)
ClownFrog began making his most powerful undeads return to the undead record, while summoning as many skeleton servants as he can.
[Skeleton Servant Master] – [Cost: 200 Skill Points.]
[Passive]
[Increase stats of your skeleton servants by X%]
[Decrees skeleton servants necro mastery cost by X%]
[X is equal to the skill level.]
ClownFrog summoned a horde of skeleton servants that ended up creating a small army.

[You have showed promising ability of the necromancer.]
[You have received title: Undead Army – Tier 1] – [Common]
[Effect:

[You have managed to summon and control 100 undeads at the same time.]
[You have showed promising ability of the necromancer.]
[Title [Undead Army – Tier 1] had ranked up.]
[You have summoned more than 150 undeads at the same time and control them.]
[Title [Undead Army – Tier 2] had ranked up.]
[Tier 1 effect:
-Increase Necro Mastery stat by 100.]
[Tier 2 effect:
-Increase Necro Mastery stat by 100.]
"?"
(Oh. Tittle. Wasn't expecting this right now.)
(So, I get title by controlling as many undeads as I can? Not only that, it's a growth title and it already ranked up. I normally summoned a bunch of my strongest undeads, since the weak ones always die fast.)
(Interesting. Maybe when I have time, I should try to summon even more undeads after I make O'a rest.)
(Anyway-)
"See this guys here? They are not my best undeads, but they got numbers. Use them as the meat shields or sacrifices. I can make more of these so don't hesitate to use this thing as your shields."
"My job is to escort you and make sure that none of you die."
"If you don't fallow my orders, there is good chance that you will die. You got it?"
"…"
The slaves and lamias looked nervously at the ClownFrog, however they fallowed ClownFrog instruction and got ready to escape the mine.
"…"
"Well then, let's go." – said ClownFrog.
The slaves followed the ClownFrog orders and began moving towards the exit while being escorted by the small army of the skeleton servants.
The group began heading to the surface, passing by the outpost destroyed by ClownFrog before then reaching the mine entrance.
"?!"
"Bright!"
"Sun! Its sun!"
The group had finally left the mine and some of the slaves that haven't seen light for so long began crying because of the joy.
"…"
"Em… Sorry for ruining your moment right now, but we need to go. We still need to escape the city. Follow me!" – said ClownFrog.
The giant group of slaves and undead began marching through the city, taking a direct path to the gate that was taken over by the sobeks.
However, on their way, ClownFrog group ended up encountering a group of knights.
(Shit! I guess I was expecting too much for them to not notice a freaking army of slaves just walking in the city?)
The knights began running towards the ClownFrog, but moments later a crossbow bolt out of nowhere that ended up hitting one the knights in the head and blowing up.
"?!"
ClownFrog looked towards the direction where the bolt came from and noticed somebody standing on top of the wall.
"!"
(He did mentioned that he wanted to be sniper. But holy shit. How the hell did he hit them from this distance?! Did he practice a lot beforehand in secret or something?!)
ClownFrog instantly realized that the one shot the knights were none other than Oron.
The Oron attack ended up creating chaos and distraction for the ClownFrog to use and launch the [Bone Arrows] barrage at the enemy.
After attacking disoriented knights, ClownFrog send his undeads at the enemy and began killing the knights at fast pace until the last one was dealt with.
"Run for it! They know that you escaped!" – shouted ClownFrog after killing the guards.
The slaves began moving at faster pace alongside the undeads in order to reach the gate.
However, as the group headed closer to the gate, the sound of blades clashing as well as number of encounter enemies were keep being increased.
And before long, ClownFrog was finally able to see sobeks in sight.
"!"
(Okay. I can see the sobeks.)
(But how the heck do I break through those guys?!)
(There is a shit tons of troops here! I can somehow squish through them myself, but creating a large opening for the slaves to escape will be too hard.)
(I had already used a lot of explosion type spells when I was infiltration the mine and the strongest ones are still on cooldown.)
(Fuck! If necessary, I will-)
Suddenly, a series of explosions as well as the green flame began engulfing the entire area right in front of the ClownFrog and slaves.
"Hey! You are late! What took you so long?" – asked O'a.
"?!"
"Well! As you can see, I have a literally group of more than 1000 people with me if not more than 1500 with me! Do you think that traveling with that kind of group is easy?!" – asked ClownFrog.
"Still, how did you know I was taking this path?" – asked ClownFrog.
"!"
"Oh wait, Oron?"
"Yes." – said Blueberry.
"Anyway, we need to hurry! The sobeks won't hold the enemy for much longer!" – said Blueberry.
After the path was opened for the slaves to escape, the entire group began running with all their might to the gate.
"…"
(Hm…)
(Yeb. This way too fuking easy.)
(This was supposed to be the hardest part in the operation, but so far, we haven't lost anybody???)
(Yea… I'm definitely expecting something like a powerful unique boss monster or a high level player group stopping us.)
The slaves continues running through the battlefield and before long, the destroyed gate that was taken over by the sobeks were in sight.
With all their strength left, the slaves continue running and finally reaching the gate, leaving the city.
"…"
(Wait. Really?) – though ClownFrog.
(I thought we would encounter a freaking big problem or something, but nothing???)
(I mean, it's not like I was looking forward to a "Final Battle" or a "Boss Batte", but still.)
(Normally in those kind of scenarios something would suddenly happened or something.)
"…"
"Hey you." – said ClownFrog.
"Yes?" – said one of the sobeks guarding the gate.
"Take some forces and make sure that the slaves and lamias are safe."
"And you. Go and spread the information. The slaves are safe, so there is no longer reason to hold back. Destroy them all." – said ClownFrog.
