Chapter 126: Plump gilf
After returning home, the first place Luke went was the back of the house. Workers were still constructing the bathroom, but today he did not have the luxury of keeping his distance.
They did not ask him anything, and he did not speak either.
He grabbed a full bucket of water and poured it over himself.
"Fuaaah..." he exhaled, finally feeling a bit better. The smell had been unbearable before.
He did not have the energy to undress and scrub properly, so he settled for rinsing himself as thoroughly as he could. Then he picked up a towel and a fresh set of clothes.
Stepping behind the wall, he dried himself off and changed. The clothes he had been wearing were beyond saving, so they would have to be thrown away or burned later.
Once done, he grabbed a bottle of perfume and sprayed far more than necessary. He did not want his dearest to catch even a trace of blood on him.
"Excuse me, can we talk?"
He heard a voice from the other side.
Luke peeked around and saw the man in charge of the construction standing there.
"Yeah?" Luke asked as he stepped out from behind the wall, now cleaned up.
The man replied, "Due to the preparations for the incoming guests, it will be difficult to bring materials to your house. So for the next two days, we will not be able to continue the work."
Luke’s brows lifted, not in displeasure but curiosity. "Just how excessive have these preparations been?"
The man gave a wry smile. "You are not wrong to call it excessive, but it is understandable." He glanced toward the front of the village. "One mistake, and the head chief would give the command to burn this entire place down."
Luke’s expression turned cold.
He already knew there were no real laws here beyond the will of the tribal chief, but knowing it did not make it easier to accept.
If the chief failed to protect the guest, the entire village would pay the price.
The thought made him increasingly reluctant to stay.
But right now, he lacked both the strength and the resources to leave. He needed time to gather information and understand this place better.
"I understand," Luke said calmly. "Resume the work when you can. And here, take this as a small bonus. Distribute it among the workers."
He handed over a small pouch containing fifty toras.
The man’s face brightened. He thanked Luke before heading off.
Luke turned and made his way back to the house.
As he pushed the door open, he paused, slightly startled to find Dalia standing there.
"Hey, going somewhere?" he asked.
"Yes... to buy some herbs," she replied, then looked at him. "Where were you?"
Luke let out a small chuckle. "Why do you ask?"
Dalia shrugged. "Just asking. Anyway, do you want me to buy something for you?"
Luke gave her a look. "Do you even have the funds to afford whatever I ask?"
Dalia lowered her gaze. "Yes... I have my savings."
Luke hummed. "The savings you kept for your baby?"
She said nothing.
Lex was still recovering, and it would take time before he could stand on his own again. Until then, everything fell on her shoulders.
With no real way to earn, she was stretching her savings as carefully as she could.
Luke shrugged. "Well, I hope he recovers soon."
He stepped past her, but her voice stopped him.
"Aren’t you going to comfort me?"
Luke grinned, "If I had been your mate then surely, I would." He gave her plump ass a good squeeze before whispering, "Tell me if you feel like changing your partners."
Dalia flushed, her face turning red, but before she could say anything, Luke had already stepped inside the house.
He checked the dining hall first, but no one was there. Then he headed to the kitchen, where he found Ginna, busy storing something in a jar.
He approached her. "Hey—"
"Ah!" she cried in surprise, the jar slipping from her hands.
Luke reacted instantly. One arm caught her, the other snatched the jar before it could hit the ground.
"Careful," he said, placing the jar safely on the counter before turning back to her.
With his arm still around her waist, he noticed how petite and soft she felt. "Did I ever tell you how well you have maintained yourself?"
Ginna gave a shy smile. "It is nothing to boast about. And... thank you for saving me." She made no effort to step away.
Luke did not let go either. Instead, his grip tightened slightly as he drew her closer. "What were you doing so secretly that my presence startled you?"
She looked away shyly, allowing Luke’s gaze to marvel at her well sculpted long neck and the valley her low neck dress offered. Those globes were too big for his hands but he still wanted to feel them up.
"Well...Monica offers me some meat every meal...I was saving it for Dalia." Ginna confessed, a little guilty for betraying Monica.
"Hmm, quite the sneaky one, aren’t you?" He said, his lips brushing against her ear, making her tremble.
The way her full butt pressed against his pelvis, he was already feeling a little worked up. The woman was quite the charmer despite her age.
Her soft body was meant to be pressed on the bed and make her cry in pleasure. Her thick thighs, those massive mammaries...yes, she had everything that attracted him.
"Umm...Luke...Monica is waiting for you in the room." Hearing her words, Luke hummed.
It was clear that the woman was nervous and a bit flustered by the closeness. He didn’t push things anymore and said, "Alright, I will go see her. But we will continue this chat later."
Ginna didn’t respond as Luke stepped out.
Then only, she exhaled a long breath and touched her chest.
Her heart was beating wildly...she could still feel his length pressing against her butt and that shocked her.
"...what did it mean?"
....
Unaware of the predicament he had left Ginna in, Luke made his way to his room.
As he stepped inside, his mother immediately rose to her feet. "Luke..." she breathed, her eyes already turning moist.
"Hey... what happened?" he asked, only to be pulled into a tight embrace.
Monica sniffled, her arms wrapped firmly around him, her eyes shut as if afraid he might disappear.
In a trembling voice, she murmured, "I don’t know... I just got scared. I thought something had happened to you."
Luke’s expression softened. He returned the hug, one hand gently caressing her head. "I am completely fine, as you can see. So don’t cry."
He did not know how she had sensed it, but she had been right to worry.
Today, he had come dangerously close to losing his life.
Once at the hands of that wolf... and once by his own.
Monica pulled back slightly, looking up at him with narrowed eyes. "Are you really telling the truth?"
Luke nodded. "Yes. I am perfectly fine—"
"Then why can I smell blood on you?"
"..."
Despite the washing, the fresh clothes, and the heavy scent of perfume, she had still noticed.
