Chapter 188 : Class Promotion and Graduation Day part 2
As we left the classroom and were about to leave the academy grounds by passing through the academy lobby, we noticed several fourth-year students coming down from the upper floor of the academy lobby. It seemed like the fourth-years were celebrating their graduation ceremony there. As we watched the fourth-years descend the stairs, we spotted Senior Gretta, Senior Alisha, and Senior Sophie also coming down the stairs. Senior Gretta seemed to notice me and immediately greeted me.
"Hello, Rid, hello too everyone," said Senior Gretta.
"Hello too, senior," said my friends and I.
"Hmm, it looks like you all earned silver badges. That means you've all made it to second year. Congratulations," said Senior Gretta.
"Thank you, senior. Senior too, congratulations on graduating," I said.
"Yes, thank you, Rid," said Senior Gretta.
Senior Alisha and Senior Sophie also came over to us. We started chatting.
"By the way, what do you plan to do after graduating from this academy, senior?" I asked senior Gretta.
"I don't know, I haven't decided yet," said senior Gretta.
"Even though Gretta has been invited by Her Majesty the Queen to join the San Fulgen royal army. Even the four Dukes are interested in inviting her to join the Duke's army, but she hasn't decided yet," said senior Alisha.
"That's amazing, to be invited by Her Majesty the Queen and the four Dukes. Senior Alisha and senior Sophie, have you decided what you'll do after graduation?" I asked.
"Sophie and I have decided to join the San Fulgen royal army," said senior Alisha.
"That's right," said senior Sophie.
"I see, good luck to you both," I said.
"Thank you, Rid. Then we'll take our leave, as it's still daytime. We'll be packing up our things in our dormitory and then leaving this academy," said senior Alisha.
"I think it's time for us to part ways," I said.
"It's not time yet. We're still at the academy, though we'll be leaving soon. If you want to say goodbye, you can wait at the academy gate. Isn't that a more appropriate place to say goodbye than here?" asked Senior Gretta.
"Okay then, I and the others will go straight there," I said.
"Then, I'll also pack my things in the dorm. Please wait there," said Senior Gretta.
Then the others and I headed to the academy gate, while Senior Gretta, Senior Alisha, and Senior Sophie headed to their respective dorms.
-
About an hour later.
Many fourth-year students began arriving at the academy gate, carrying many belongings. At the same time, many horse-drawn carriages were parked outside the academy gate. It seemed the academy had already contacted their families or guardians to come pick up their graduating children. At the academy gate, it wasn't just me and my friends. Other Elevrad members and several other students were also there. It seemed they wanted to say goodbye to the fourth-year students they knew.
I looked for Senior Gretta, Senior Alisha, and Senior Sophie among the many fourth-year students arriving at the academy gate. I found them, the three of them walking together, carrying a lot of things. Senior Vyn and Senior Marco were also nearby. They glanced at us and then approached.
"I thought it was just Rid and his friends, but it turns out the other Elevrad members have come too," said Senior Gretta.
"Of course. After all, Senior is a member of Elevrad, so how could we, as Elevrad members, not come to say goodbye to Senior," said Senior Vanina.
"Well, even though we're now former members," said Senior Gretta.
"Everyone, thank you for coming here to say goodbye to us. Even though I'm no longer an academy student, I won't forget you," said Senior Vyn.
"Seniors too, good luck with whatever choices you make after graduating from this academy," said Charles.
"Yes, thank you, Charles," said Senior Vyn.
We chatted briefly.
"Then, we'll all take our leave. Take care of yourselves and uphold Elevrad's reputation," said Senior Vyn.
"Ok, seniors," said the other Elevrad members.
"See you next time. If I'm free during next year's academy festival, I'll definitely be there to see the academy festival designed and created by my juniors," said Senior Vyn.
"See you, everyone," said Senior Gretta.
The fourth-year seniors waved at us, and we waved back.
"See you, seniors," we all said.
Then the fourth-year seniors walked back to the academy gates and were now outside.
"Are you crying, Gretta?" asked Senior Vyn.
"I already cried at the last Elevrad meeting, how could I cry again," said Senior Gretta.
"But your eyes are tearing up," said Senior Vyn.
"It's because of the dust, you stupid chairman," said Senior Gretta, wiping her eyes with her hands.
"I'm not the chairman of Elevrad anymore, so stop calling me leader. By the way, I heard you haven't decided what you'll do after graduation. How about joining Duke San Quentine's army?" said Senior Vyn.
"I've also been invited by a representative from Duke San Quentine. But I haven't decided whether I'll join or not. I'll let you know when I do," said Senior Gretta.
"Okay,"
"We're no longer academy students, huh?" said Senior Vyn.
"Yes. I'm curious to see if our juniors will be able to manage Elevrad," said Senior Gretta.
"They're competent people, you don't need to worry. I'm more curious to see if anything changes at the academy after we graduate," said Senior Vyn.
"Also, I don't know what Florian is really planning. It seems like something big will happen to this academy in the future. I can't wait to see it," thought Senior Vyn.
