Chapter 143: The Plan to Demonize Monsters
East Ocean.
The original Sunrise Nation, eastern sea area.
Noah stood in the void, looking at the pitch-black rift dozens of kilometers away.
Endless demonic energy surged from the depths of the rift.
Not only here, but other arrival points were also continuously spewing out demonic energy; at this rate of demonic energy emission, theoretically, Blue Star should have long been covered in demonic energy, with countless plants and animals either dead or mutated.
In reality, however, this was not the case.
The demonic energy was most concentrated at the pitch-black rift, becoming thinner the further out one went, and disappearing completely beyond one hundred kilometers from the arrival point.
Therefore, despite the endless demonic energy pouring into Blue Star, Blue Star’s ecosystem was not fatally damaged.
The greatest casualties occurred when that Three-order Disaster Instance, the Demonized Sea Area, directly descended, killing or demonizing countless marine creatures in the East Ocean.
Clearly, Blue Star possessed the ability to purify demonic energy.
This ability was acquired through the descent and fusion of the Transcendent Aura with Blue Star, enabling Blue Star to purify demonic energy; similarly, they, the Awakeners, were not afraid of demonic energy erosion.
This explained why the Demonized Monsters were so hostile towards the Transcendent Aura.
A thought flashed in Noah’s mind, recalling the two options for handling world shardss after breaking through a Disaster Instance.
Previously, for safety, they had all chosen the second option, converting the world shardss into world origin for Blue Star’s world will to absorb.
The first option, merging the world shardss into Blue Star, had not been chosen.
"It seems this option is also viable," Noah realized.
Since Blue Star had the ability to purify demonic energy, it would not fear the residual demonic energy in the world shardss.
As for merging into Blue Star, how would that work?
Those Disaster Instances that had not been broken through were also merged into Blue Star, but by way of overlaying, a type of merger that clearly offered no benefit to Blue Star.
Noah preferred another method of merging, one that would add a region without affecting Blue Star’s original geography.
It would be equivalent to increasing the size of Blue Star.
For a planet, this was undoubtedly a form of enhancement.
Therefore, it was reasonable that the option to merge into Blue Star would appear.
...
Shaking his head, Noah pulled back his somewhat scattered thoughts.
There were no Disaster Instances on Blue Star now, so overthinking was pointless.
His gaze fell upon the pitch-black rift.
Compared to when it first descended, it had shrunk by one-tenth, a small part of which was due to his efforts.
The countries of Blue Star had not been without ideas regarding this arrival point; for instance, throwing nuclear bombs into the spatial passage to see if it could be destroyed.
All attempts failed.
This spatial passage only allowed Demonized Monsters to pass through; they couldn’t use it at all, and nuclear bombs thrown in were like stones sinking into the sea, with no reaction reported back.
Noah had also shot an arrow with full power, but it only caused it to shrink a little.
Clearly, some unknown changes were occurring in this spatial passage, most likely not good ones.
Currently, most people on Blue Star optimistically believed that the Ghost-Level Calamity was nearing its end, and the Demonized Monsters already within Blue Star could be dealt with slowly.
Noah, however, did not think so.
The entities on the other side were also intelligent beings, especially the high-tier Demonized Monsters, who would not be inferior to humans.
Noah had always found the timing of the appearance of the Fourth-Order Demonized Giant Ape at the Three-order arrival point in the Western Desert very strange.
A Three-order arrival point being able to forcibly allow a Fourth-Order Monster to pass through was information they didn’t possess, yet the Demonized Giant Ape exposed it from the start.
It felt somewhat reckless.
As if something unexpected had happened to the original plan, so they sent someone over to check the situation?
"Is it because those newly appeared arrival points were forcibly closed by the nine provinces cauldron?" Noah mused.
The existence of the nine provinces cauldron undoubtedly surprised those Demonized Monsters.
They certainly didn’t expect a situation where spatial passages would be forcibly closed, so a Fourth-Order Monster came over?
Noah killing the Fourth-Order with a single arrow likely made them realize that Blue Star was not easy to provoke.
In this situation, they definitely wouldn’t act casually again; chances were they were planning something big for Blue Star.
And the only way they could come over was through this arrival point.
"Insight."
Noah decisively activated his Talent and looked towards it.
"So that’s it, they strengthened the spatial passage to allow more Demonized Monsters through, but have been keeping it hidden?"
Noah quickly deactivated his Talent; he had already gotten the answer.
At the current strength of this spatial passage, if fully opened, the number of Sea Clan entering Blue Star would likely double.
However, the other side probably also realized that no matter how many First Order, Tier 2, and Three-order Demonized Monsters there were, they wouldn’t pose a fatal threat, so they didn’t expose this change.
"The spatial passage’s capacity is still Three-order; therefore, it’s impossible for a Five-Order expert to come through."
Noah breathed a sigh of relief.
With his current strength, dealing with Fourth-Order was fine, but if it were a Five-Order expert, he really wasn’t confident; after all, a Five-Order expert’s base attributes wouldn’t be less than a million, several million base attributes were far stronger than Noah, even with all his Epic skills, he couldn’t be an opponent.
"There should be Fourth-Order coming through, and more than one."
Having guessed the Demonized Monsters’ plan, Noah didn’t linger and turned to leave.
Just as Noah was actively preparing for battle, good news arrived.
"Lily has finished organizing the memories?" Noah’s eyes lit up.
Lily’s Soul Eye was very practical; previously, Noah had captured a Three-order monster that looked relatively intelligent and gave it to Lily to read its memories.
That Three-order monster had lived much longer than the Three-tailed Giant Fox, and its memories were much more complex; these past few days, Lily had been organizing the memories, especially the information regarding this Ghost-Level Calamity.
Seeing Noah, Lily’s eyes held a hint of resentment.
Noah knew very well why she felt this way, of course, it was because of that Soul Resonance skill book.
Soul-type skills were already rare, not to mention that Soul Resonance was a passive skill that enhanced the effects of soul-type skills; it worked not only on offensive soul skills but also on support and control skills, making its value far above that of ordinary passive skills.
Having the prize snatched from her by Noah, Lily felt like crying.
"I’ll take you to instances later if there’s a chance," Noah said; his current team members were fixed, but future instances might not be.
Besides, Disaster Instances didn’t limit the number of people.
Hearing this, Lily’s gloom immediately vanished, her face filled with excitement.
Being able to run instances with Noah was undoubtedly something all Awakeners dreamed of; just look at Claire, she was practically soaring while lying down; if Noah were willing to offer spots, even SSS-grade Talent Awakeners would fight tooth and nail for them.
Noah ignored her further and seriously looked through the documents in his hand.
