[In ancient times, Bingzhou had a virtuous woman named Mistress Ma Lang. She was extremely beautiful, aged around twenty-four or twenty-five. She walked alone through the city markets, and all young men associated with her, were intimate with her, and shared her pillow. Mistress Ma Lang bestowed lust upon all people, and all who lay with her forever severed their lust.]
[Mistress Ma Lang died after several years. None of the people of the province did not grieve and pity her. They pooled funeral supplies and buried her…]
[Suddenly, a Brahmin monk came from the west. Seeing the grave, he sat cross-legged, paid respectful worship, burned incense, circled it, and praised it for several days, saying seek my companion.
