A Dragon against the Whole World

Chapter 264 - 240: Ultra-Frenzied Four-Armed Overlord Stance—Fierce! Dominant! Powerful!

The most severely affected was the Dawn Tribe.

However, many of the Beastmen’s troops were also destroyed.

Moreover, they were well aware that the Red Iron Dragon’s target was the entire Border Area and would not spare the Ironblood Tribe’s Beastmen. Under the pressure of a formidable enemy, the alliance between humans and Beastmen had reached its closest point.

"Counterattack according to our previous plan."

Brunhild’s face was solemn: "We must kill the Red Iron Dragon in one go. This war, it’s either him or us!"

He asked the Beastman Leader, "How are the preparations?"

Ugosh turned his head to look at a blind shaman with clouded white eyes and a body full of sores.

Before the Beastman Leader could speak, the blind Shaman seemed to sense something.

He hunched his back, coughed a few times, then wiped the turbid blood from his lips, and in a hoarse voice, spoke intermittently: "Red Iron Dragon... will... tomorrow night... surprise attack... Raging River."

With each word he uttered, his body hunched further, and the wrinkles on his face visibly deepened.

The already withered life force quickly waned, becoming like a candle flickering in the wind.

After speaking the last few words, his body staggered, and then he suddenly trembled all over, muttering a few obscure and unclear words before fainting on the spot. It was only with the support of the nearby Beastmen that he didn’t collapse to the ground.

This Prophet Shaman held a position in the Beastmen Tribe equivalent to the ancestral Shaman Leonie, who was killed by Galos.

He originally had more than a dozen years left to live, but due to making and revealing a prophecy about Galos, he suffered severe backlash, and it’s uncertain if he can even survive another year.

"Take the Prophet to rest."

Ugosh said gravely, "With so many sacrifices made, we must kill that Red Iron bastard no matter what! I will use his life and blood to honor the fallen warriors!"

Brunhild smirked coldly, "With such intense and frequent attacks from the Red Iron Dragon, even the Dragon Race’s physique cannot withstand the exhaustion. We will lie in wait and ambush him; he will surely meet his end at Raging River!"

Immediately, under the will of the two tribe leaders, orders were swiftly issued from here.

From the Dawn Tribe and the Ironblood Tribe, nearly all the high-level elite leaders were mobilized overnight from various strongholds, gathering at the Raging River post under the cover of the Warlock Shaman’s magic.

This also included Brunhild and Ugosh.

Time flowed steadily as before, passing in merely a day or so, too brief for the Molten Iron troops, who felt the Alliance Army’s power had somewhat diminished but didn’t notice anything amiss.

In Dragon Valley, the sunset light sprinkled on the central lake, rippling with sparkles as the gentle breeze brushed over.

Galos extended his wings, producing a subtle sound resembling the clashing of metal.

He could clearly feel the sharpness at each edge of the Cold Burst Scales and the faint tremors of muscle fibers storing power—his peak state, like a fully drawn bow.

At this moment, the Red Iron Dragon’s mind and body had returned to their peak limits.

His combat level had also broken through due to the fierce battles in recent days, officially reaching level 4.

"Next target... the Dawn Tribe keeps retreating, nearing their limit."

"Intercept their retreat ahead of time and catch them all at once."

Galos carefully recalled the strategic points in the Dawn Tribe’s territory and finally confirmed—Raging River.

This was a large river winding through the northern part of the Border Area, its swift waters ceaseless, originating from the farther north Icefield, with bone-chilling cold. It was challenging to cross directly as the Dawn Tribe had built a post at Raging River and constructed a bridge for easier crossing. It was an important retreat path, located at the rear of the Dawn Tribe’s hinterlands.

"Here it is then."

The Red Iron Dragon flapped his wings, soaring into the sky, approaching Raging River.

To prevent giving the enemy time to react defensively, Galos approached without speeding, making no sound as his wings flapped, slowly but steadily closing in. Once near the target, he would erupt abruptly.

The twilight was quickly replaced by the night.

Duo moons hung high in the sky, as the night grew darker.

In the northern part of the Border Area, Raging River.

Under the moonlight, the river churned like a furious Silver Dragon, with turbulent waters carrying the chill of the Icefield, crashing against the banks with force that seemed to shatter mountains, splashing water skyward. The wind fragmented this into icy rain mist, enveloping the entire riverbank in a bone-piercing chill.

The ironwood bridge spanning across Raging River.

Thick ironwood, connected by secret technique, was bound with chains engraved with Water-Repelling Rune, clattering in the wind.

On either side, bonfires blazed brightly. The Dawn Tribe’s post guards remained vigilant even deep into the night, taking turns to patrol.

Galos hovered several thousand meters above, taking a deep breath, then dark red flames surged from the tips of his Dragon Wings, slicing through the night sky, plummeting directly toward the ironwood bridge like a falling meteor.

Boom—!!

The ironwood bridge shattered, countless water droplets splattered, and the white waves surged fiercely toward the posts on either side.

The Red Iron Dragon’s first strike destroyed the bridge.

He spread his wings, his muscular body emerging from the water.

However, the expected panic and chaos did not ensue.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Deafening roars erupted suddenly—a primal war cry resonating with fury and bloodlust from thousands of throats, instantly boiling the entire Raging River.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Three large azure beams erupted in a pyramid formation from the left cliff, right forest, and the base of the bridge on the riverbank.
