A Dragon against the Whole World

Chapter 237 - 221: World-Shaking Wisdom

Border Area, Dragon Valley.

The midday sun was brilliant yet not too harsh, as Red Silver Dragon Deborah and Galos continued their riddle game. As time went by, the sun slowly set in the west, and dusk deepened.

"Let’s call it a day."

Having spent a leisurely afternoon without any exercise, Red Iron Dragon felt restless, as if something important was left undone.

"Happy times are always fleeting; this afternoon passed too quickly."

Red Silver Dragon was somewhat unsatisfied, blinked her eyes, and asked the Red Iron Dragon opposite her, "Galos, will you continue to play the riddle game with me?"

Galos nodded, "It’s a form of relaxation for me too, but only after the serious work is done."

Just then, accompanied by a flash of colorful light, Elf Dragon Vera flew in from nearby.

"Count me in, let’s play together."

She had been eavesdropping on the riddles between Galos and Deborah, feeling she could join this kind of game too.

Elf Dragon was always interested in anything related to games and fun.

Especially.

Recently, Galos often played riddle games with Red Silver Dragon, while she could only hide on the side, stealthily watching and listening with envy, unable to join.

Now, Elf Dragon couldn’t help but jump right in.

"You can solve riddles?"

Galos asked in surprise.

Elf Dragon’s games tended to be absurd pranks; a brainy riddle game? Galos doubted she had the skill for it.

"Hmph, don’t underestimate me."

Elf Dragon’s petite and delicate figure hovered in front of Galos, lifting her chin proudly, "Back in the Elf Wilderness, the Unicorn Elder praised me, saying I have extraordinary wisdom."

"Those little Flower Demons and Pikachu always followed my commands, revolving around me. When I told them to sing, they wouldn’t dare dance."

So impressive?

Red Iron Dragon smacked his lips.

He really couldn’t see, this tiny Elf Dragon Vera, was actually the wise wilderness bully.

"Wow."

Red Silver Dragon exclaimed, "Then you must be good at solving riddles."

"Yes, Vera often watched you play riddle games, and has now become a riddle master." Elf Dragon wagged her tail lightly without any humility.

Red Silver Dragon’s eyes sparkled, "That’s great, let’s play riddles together."

As dragons from the chaotic good camp, she and Elf Dragon got along well, unlike Evil Dragons like Red Dragon, Iron Dragon, and White Dragon, with whom Red Silver Dragon generally didn’t communicate, except for Galos.

"Okay, I’ll start."

"Ahem!"

Elf Dragon Vera puffed out her tiny chest, her wings vibrated at high frequency, suspending her in mid-air. She tried to imitate Deborah’s melodic tone when telling riddles, even the tip of her fur-like tail bobbed along.

"Listen closely!"

"It’s blue, very big, so big you can’t touch it. During the day, it covers the head, but at night it...it..."

She stumbled, scratching her little chin, then said, "Um...it sneaks away! Then a lot of sparkling little eyes pop out on it! And, soft things like cotton candy float on it, if you take a bite..."

Elf Dragon thought hard to add some depth to the riddle.

"Take a bite...hmm...it has no taste! Not a bit sweet! It’s deceiving cotton candy!"

Deborah’s beautiful silver eyes blinked repeatedly. She tilted her massive dragon head to look at Galos, then at Vera, who was earnestly awaiting praise, and let out a perplexed rumble from her throat.

Galos felt the muscles near his cheeks tighten.

He struggled to keep his dignified Red Iron Dragon face from falling apart and rubbed his brow with a claw.

Even though dragons don’t have eyebrows, the gesture was almost instinctive.

He looked at Vera’s confident little face, and the phrase "extraordinary wisdom" buzzed in his mind.

Red Iron Dragon and Red Silver Dragon exchanged glances, bewildered.

Seeing no reaction, Elf Dragon Vera’s tail assumed her riddle was too difficult.

"Hurry up and guess! It’s the most important thing! Without it, we’d suffocate!"

She thought her hint was brilliant, and with smug nodding, she said, "And it’s very, very, very big! Bigger than a hundred Galos stacked together! Bigger than a hundred Dragon Valleys!"

She opened her mini wings wide, trying to convey the unlimited vastness.

"Hehe, can’t figure it out, huh."

After several more seconds of silence from the two dragons, Elf Dragon Vera spun in circles, flew loop-de-loops like chasing her tail, her small wings creating an air current.

Galos could no longer hold back.

He let out a heavy sigh, akin to the bellows of a forge, with sparks of hot air puffing out from his nostrils.

"Those ’deceptive cotton candies’ and ’glittering little eyes’ you mentioned, are they referring to the..."

He lifted a claw, pointing to the deep blue sky stained with twilight, with a few sparse stars beginning to appear.

"...sky?"

Vera’s smug expression instantly froze on her small dragon face.

She followed Galos’s claw, looked up at the vast dome, then lowered her gaze to look at Galos and Deborah, her small mouth slightly open, letting out a short: "Eh?"

"Uh... yes... it is the sky...".

She murmured quietly, lacking confidence.

"Your riddle."

The Red Iron Dragon shook his massive head and said leisurely, "It’s like mixing a piece of raw meat, a handful of dirt, and a gemstone together, then asking others what flavor of snack it is."

However, Deborah had a different opinion.

She encouragingly said with a smile, "What an interesting metaphor, flavorless cotton candy... though immature, it’s quite vivid. Vera has the potential to become a riddle master."

So as to have more dragons to play riddles with her.

The Red Silver Dragon said something against her own heart.

Across from her, Vera’s little ears twitched, her dejection lasting less than three seconds.

With Deborah’s compliment, her tiny spark of "world-shattering wisdom" reignited stubbornly.

She swiftly flew next to Deborah’s massive head and affectionately rubbed her own small head against the cool red-silver scales: "Exactly, Deborah understands me, Galos, you are too traditional."

She made a face at Galos.

"Alright, you two have fun, I need to train now."

The Red Iron Dragon said.

He stepped heavily toward his training ground.

The ground was next to the lake of Dragon Valley, flat with soil and stones, reinforced and strengthened by the Warlock Shamans, gleaming with a metallic luster, with a black pillar in the center.

This was an alchemy tool obtained through the merchant group, capable of creating a triple overweight effect within a certain range.

Galos first drank a barrel of black oil to boost his body’s excitement, then went to the center to activate the overweight item.

An invisible heaviness descended instantly.

The massive and robust body of the Red Iron Dragon stood firm as a mountain under this sudden increase in weight.

His dragon head, seemingly covered by heavy armor, lifted slightly, with no trace of laziness in his eyes, leaving only a focused mind.

Then.

The Red Iron Dragon performed an action that was extremely abrupt yet full of power.

That enormous head, covered in diamond-like metallic scales, suddenly jerked upward and backward!

The heavy dragon head sliced through the air with a whistling sound, drawing a power-laden arc, the thick neck muscles tightening instantly, bulging like a battering ram, emitting a teeth-gritting sound akin to steel cables being tautened.

The huge back of the head, like a massive hammer, crashed heavily and precisely onto the metal-gloss surface.

Thud!

A sound like muffled thunder echoed and spread over the Dragon Valley’s sky.

Now, Galos’s posture was immensely imposing.

His massive, rugged body remained unmoving, forming a sharp angle between neck and ground, body flipped with belly upward, supported by neck and hind legs, dragon arms folded across the chest, and back suspended, yet firmly rooted to the earth.

And this was just a static display.

With a growl, one could see that strong and heavy body beginning to nimbly flip, centering around the neck.

The thick neck muscles on both sides squirmed and rose vigorously, as if mountains had come alive, almost stretching the dual-layered scale armor open.

The air was filled with a heart-stirring deep rubbing sound and the sound akin to a giant bowstring being drawn to the limit during the staunch resistance of muscles and bones against gravity.

The neck of the Red Iron Dragon seemed to have become a focal point for the entire body’s strength.

Steel-like muscles operated madly under extreme load, showcasing a primitive and pure aesthetic of violence belonging to the Dragon Race.

Perspiration.

Or rather, a mixture of high-temperature steam and vapor, sizzled out from the crevices of his scale armor on his neck, dropping to the ground, and instantly evaporating into a small white mist.

The Red Silver Dragon and Elf Dragon had already forgotten about the riddles, staring unblinkingly at the Red Iron Dragon, barely remembering to breathe.

This red iron body, full of violence and power, not only impressed the Five-Colored Dragons but even the Metal Dragons and Plane Dragons could appreciate his ’beauty’.

"Wow, such an amazing feeling, I want to try it too."

Vera came to the edge of the overweight field, attempting to mimic Galos’s method.

Crack... a crisp sound came from her neck, she inhaled sharply like a burn, flying up with a tilted head, she screamed: "Ah, it hurts, my head’s broken, I’m going to die, I’m going to die."
