A Dragon against the Whole World

Chapter 219 - 207: White Tiger, Deborah’s Little Schemes and New Riddle (Part 2)

At the same time.

Two points of golden light suddenly lit up in the dark green waves of the forest sea.

The Wild Monster Lord was perched on the top of a forest cliff, its massive beast body, not inferior in size to Galos, clutching half of a bear carcass with its forepaw, bloodstained claws and fangs glinting coldly in the setting sun.

Roar!

It opened its mouth and roared, each strand of its fur standing up like steel needles, its back slightly arched, issuing a warning to the Red Iron Dragon trespassing its territory.

Galos fixed his gaze upon it.

A ferocious beast appeared in his slightly erected pupils.

Its white hair was thick and flying, with black stripes crisscrossing, forming a clear ’king’ character on its forehead—a fierce White Tiger.

Its body was extremely large, belonging to the fierce species that pushed the fierce beasts’ talents to the extreme and broke through their limits.

The individuals of the fierce species were exceptionally powerful, possessing terrifying combat talents not inferior to the Dragon Race at the same level, but nearly all fierce species lacked intelligence, unable to compare with the Dragon Race intellectually.

The White Tiger’s muscles were sleek, and its tail was taut like a steel whip.

It lowered its body slightly, adopting a stance somewhat similar to the Dragon Race’s hunting position.

Upon hearing the White Tiger’s warning roar, the Red Iron Dragon did not retreat; instead, it turned and dove in.

Dragon Wings sliced through the air like guillotine blades, howling closer.

The White Tiger abandoned its prey, sidestepping and leaping with incredible speed as the Red Iron Dragon approached rapidly.

Though it was still grazed by the Dragon Wings, leaving a long blood mark on its side, no bones were exposed, and the injury was nothing serious.

The tiger claws, mixed with mud, plowed deep grooves into the ground, and decaying leaves were lifted by the gusts of wind.

The White Tiger turned abruptly upon landing, demonstrating terrifying jumping and explosiveness, pouncing towards the Red Iron Dragon’s back, executing multiple leaps and walking in the air. Its body was surrounded by dense Wind Elemental Energy forming wings, its eyes fixed on the Red Iron Dragon’s neck vertebra.

The wild monster lords left by the Molten Iron Tribe were relatively formidable, and they generally possessed the ability to fly.

Otherwise, using low-value Jackal-Wolf Folk and Kobolds to deplete their stamina, the strong leaders could then effortlessly encircle and kill them.

Galos swished his thick Dragon Tail, muscles taut, the edges momentarily rising like the blade of a knife, the tip as sharp as a spear.

The Dragon Tail rose, spear-like tip darting like lightning towards the White Tiger’s head.

The White Tiger instinctively lowered its head as the spear-tail scythed past its scalp, leaving a blood groove. By the time it raised its head again, the Red Iron Dragon had turned, claws sweeping forward.

With a low growl, the White Tiger, unwilling to show weakness, wielding the gale, engaged in close combat with the Red Iron Dragon in mid-air.

Its reaction speed was exceedingly quick, possessing an instinctual talent similar to the Martial Dragon’s reflex dodge skill, allowing it to evade the Red Iron Dragon’s attacks with minimal cost. Nonetheless, fighting the Red Iron Dragon, whose entire body was a weapon, it quickly became covered in scars, though none were severe.

As for its attacks.

The claw strikes that could shatter steel and tear metal left dents and cracks, spreading a chill over the Cold Burst Scales.

With each contact with the Cold Burst Scales, the White Tiger felt its body turn cold due to the heat-absorbing nature and chill.

Its actions grew sluggish, and no matter how quick its instinctive reactions were, they gradually couldn’t keep up with Galos’s attacks.

Bang!

Galos’s Dragon Claw came down, squarely hitting the White Tiger’s head, sending it crashing to the ground like a cannonball.

The fierce species’ physique was extraordinarily robust, yet despite its head being blooded, and skull dented, the White Tiger still managed to flip mid-air and land on all fours atop a fallen giant fir.

Its sharp claws pierced into the trunk, raising its head, and letting out a long howl at the sky.

In the flying wood shavings, the White Tiger’s roar transformed into waves of sonic cannon, shredding the obstructing treetops and branches into powder.

Whoosh—a dark red flame erupted from behind Galos’s Dragon Wings as he sharply accelerated and turned, dodging the tiger’s sonic wave.

Due to the Cold Burst Scales, Galos didn’t need to evade minor attacks, withstanding them without problem. However, one mustn’t forget his superb agility.

The White Tiger’s roaring continued, and the terrifying sonic waves chased the Red Iron Dragon, obliterating nearly everything in their path with formidable power.

However, Galos maneuvered deftly, flitting and dodging the tiger’s sonic waves, gradually approaching the Fierce Tiger.

As he shot forward at high speed, his Wings sliced through the ground’s tree trunks, the Dragon Claw precisely grasping the White Tiger’s head.

Galos pinned the White Tiger with a single claw, as the Dragon Qi at level 3 revolved within and around the Dragon Arm, exerting irresistible power, deeply pressing it into the ground.

Bang, bang, bang!

Amidst the dense collisions, the ground was plowed into a deep, long groove, one giant tree after another uprooted, or smashed and shattered.

Finally, the Dragon Claw pinned the White Tiger against a cliff wall, coming to a stop.

At that moment, the White Tiger had lost its previous fierceness, its aura weak, its entire body torn and battered, skin split and flesh exposed.

It revealed its belly, a hint of plea in its eyes.

Fierce species weren’t as smart as Earth Bears, but they were still more astute than ordinary beasts; they bore no malicious chaos like Chimeras. In life and death moments, it instinctively pleaded for mercy from the Red Iron Dragon.

Seeing this, Galos also withdrew his intention to kill.

He employed a thinking communication skill derived from the Iron Dragon Bloodline, connecting with the bewildered White Tiger, giving it a choice between submission or death, and it made the correct decision.

"Venting your anger on ignorant beasts, hum, Red Iron Dragon, you truly are inherently evil."

Deborah’s light voice sounded from the sky, as she dispelled the Invisibility Spell, appearing in the air.

Galos was not surprised by her appearance; since leaving Dragon Valley, due to his gradually heightened perception, he faintly sensed someone was tracking him.

"Deborah, you’re finally back."

To the Red Silver Dragon’s slightly provocative words, Galos did not become angry, merely said, "What happened last time was a misunderstanding; I was briefly influenced by Evil Dragon desires upon waking from a ten-year slumber."

Gazing at Galos’s majestic and powerful body, recalling his previous bold and direct courtship.

The Red Silver Dragon’s tail tip still quivered slightly.

Feigning calmness, she said, "Solve my riddle, and I’ll forgive your presumptuousness."

"Okay."

Galos nodded.

The Red Silver Dragon blinked her eyes and said:

"I’m softer than time, more enduring than stone, capable of turning an angry volcano into a gentle stream."

"The rich discard me like old shoes, yet the poor treasure me as a gem."

"The wise use me as a shield, but the foolish easily cast me away."

"If you grasp me tightly, I quietly slip away."

"If you call upon me in waiting, I’ll stay with you always."

After pausing, she looked at the Red Iron Dragon and said, "Tell me, Mixed-blood Dragon—who am I?"

The Red Silver Dragon’s tone remained as usual, yet faintly quivering, as if bearing hidden thoughts and emotions.

Galos focused on pondering the riddle but found no suitable answer. Furthermore, presenting riddles to others was one of the Red Silver Dragon’s great interests, occasionally failing to solve her riddles could actually enhance her favorability.

"I can’t think of it, Deborah. Tell me the answer."

The Red Iron Dragon shook his head.

The Red Silver Dragon blinked, and softly whispered, "Patience, the answer is patience."
