Chapter 5: Innate Realm
Li Musheng tucked the banknote into his bosom and swept his gaze around.
The situation in the field had changed dramatically. The Seven Villains of Zha River had been captured with their acupoints sealed, and all the disciples and apprentices were no longer in mortal danger.
However, at this time, everyone's gazes were all fixed on Li Musheng, their eyes revealing emotions such as surprise, unfamiliarity, disbelief, and other strange feelings.
Li Musheng didn't pay attention to them. In the fifteen years he'd been at the martial arts school, his displayed bone structure and aptitude were too poor, so he wasn't well-received by people in the martial arts school. Therefore, he wasn't familiar with these people.
"Old man Yu, since you're so straightforward, I'll help you one more time."
Li Musheng raised his eyebrows and suddenly extended his palm to strike toward one person nearby.
Yu Zhentian didn't know what he meant by this, but the next moment, his whole person was shocked and alarmed as he hurriedly shouted, "Stop!"
However, Li Musheng's hand didn't stop, continuing to strike down toward Yu Xian's head.
Clearly, with the strength Li Musheng had just displayed, once this palm strike landed, Yu Xian would undoubtedly die.
Just at this moment, Yu Xian, who originally had broken limbs and a faint breath, suddenly snapped his eyes wide open. His legs erupted with powerful energy as he heavily stamped down, stepping so hard that the ground tiles cracked and flew up. His entire body then slid rapidly backward flat against the ground, attempting to dodge Li Musheng's palm.
However, he was obviously overthinking it. No matter how fast his reaction, how could he escape Li Musheng's palm?
His figure had only slid halfway when he felt the internal energy in his dantian stagnate. His body instantly went numb and he fell directly to the ground, unable to move.
For a moment, terror arose in the eyes of Yu Xian on the ground, because from beginning to end, he had never seen how exactly the other party had sealed his acupoints.
"What's going on here?"
Yu Zhentian immediately came to Yu Xian's side.
After seeing that the other party had just struck out unharmed, even if he didn't understand the reason behind it all, he knew that this eldest son of his had a problem.
Li Musheng didn't even glance at the person on the ground. Rubbing his chin, he said, "The Seven Villains of Zha River should logically have seven people. I guess this is the last one among them."
Hearing this, Yu Zhentian reached out to grab at the face of Yu Xian on the ground.
Sure enough, tearing off a human skin mask revealed the face of an unfamiliar middle-aged man probably over fifty years old.
Seeing this scene, the other several people including Third Villain all felt their hearts sink.
"You're First Villain, ranked first among the Seven Villains of Zha River?"
A chill instantly rose from Yu Zhentian's back. This person not only had profound martial arts but was truly sinister.
He had actually impersonated Yu Xian and deceived him. If Li Musheng hadn't exposed the other party, he would certainly have been ambushed, and at that time, even if he didn't die, he would have been severely injured.
Thinking of this, Yu Zhentian's beard and hair stood on end. In anger, he yanked First Villain up from the ground and demanded, "Where is my son now?"
But First Villain only locked eyes with him, completely unable to speak.
Yu Zhentian's heart was filled with amazement. This acupoint sealing finger technique of Li Musheng's was truly unheard of. In an instant, he had even sealed the mute acupoint!
He immediately circulated internal energy to his fingers, wanting to unseal First Villain's mute acupoint.
But what shocked him was that First Villain's mute acupoint was solid as a rock. His internal energy actually couldn't shake the qi energy sealing the acupoint even a fraction.
"Let me do it instead."
Li Musheng lightly flicked his finger. First Villain felt his throat loosen and could finally make sounds. He stared at Li Musheng and exclaimed in shock, "Martial Dao true qi, an Innate expert? Who exactly are you?"
The martial Dao path was divided into three great realms: the Acquired Realm, the Innate Realm, and the Heaven-Human Realm!
The Acquired Realm focused on tempering the tendons, bones, skin, and flesh, cultivating internal energy to flow through the body's meridians.
Only by connecting the twelve main meridians and opening the Ren and Du meridians could one draw martial Dao true qi into the body and step into the Innate Realm.
In a remote small city like Shun'an City, Acquired experts were already rare. Martial artists who could step into the Innate Realm were even rarer, like phoenix feathers and qilin horns.
As someone at the half-step Innate Realm, First Villain had never expected to encounter a true Innate expert here.
Li Musheng glanced at First Villain in Yu Zhentian's hands and completely ignored the other party's questions, saying, "These fellows are all bad people. Kill or flay them as you see fit."
Yu Zhentian looked cautiously at Li Musheng. After his expression changed rapidly for a while, he nodded.
Li Musheng said nothing more and turned to walk toward the back courtyard of the martial arts school.
Halfway there, he turned back to look at Zhang Dazhuang, who was still standing there in a wooden daze, "Brother Zhang, there's nothing left for you here. Aren't you leaving?"
Hearing this, Zhang Dazhuang vigorously rubbed his cheeks with both hands. His gaze lingered for a moment on Yu Zhentian and First Villain before he immediately hurried to catch up with Li Musheng.
How could he not understand now that Li Musheng had deliberately made him carry Second Miss Yu earlier, actually saving his life?
Otherwise, if he had fallen into the hands of First Villain impersonating Yu Xian, how could he have had any chance of survival?
However, Zhang Dazhuang was actually overthinking this matter. Even if he had fallen into First Villain's hands, as long as Li Musheng didn't let him die, he couldn't die even if he wanted to.
As for why he had done that earlier, it was purely because Li Musheng simply had never thought about fleeing.
...
Before long, Li Musheng arrived at a shabby, cramped little room in the most remote corner of the back courtyard and began to pack up his belongings.
Zhang Dazhuang stood outside the door, looking around for a while. Not knowing what to say, he could only ask carefully and curiously, "Asheng, how did you suddenly become so powerful? Even the notorious Seven Villains of Zha River are no match for you."
"Guess?"
"Could it be you secretly took a peerless expert as your master? Or picked up a secret martial arts manual? Or perhaps..."
Li Musheng picked up his packed bundle and slung it over his shoulder, smiling, "None of those. It's all thanks to my exceptional talent, self-taught and self-made!"
Hearing this, Zhang Dazhuang instinctively rolled his eyes.
As everyone knew, in the entire Yu Family Martial Arts School, he and Li Musheng had the worst aptitude. After practicing martial arts for so many years, they had made no progress at all. Their status in the martial arts school was even worse than the servants.
However, thinking of Li Musheng's current strength, he hurriedly managed his expression, afraid of making this fellow unhappy and getting slapped away with one palm!
"I knew you wouldn't believe me, but that's just the truth!"
Li Musheng spread his hands and lowered his head to search for a while. Finally, he pulled out a stack of wrinkled rough paper from under the bed leg that was broken in half.
He stuffed the rough paper into Zhang Dazhuang's hands and said carelessly, "Before parting, I don't have anything good to give. This is a divine technique called Indestructible Vajra. It's just right for you to practice, so I'm giving it to you!"
Zhang Dazhuang took the rough paper. His heart was both delighted and hesitant, somewhat uncertain whether this divine technique written on inferior rough paper was real or fake.
But soon, he sighed and shook his head, saying, "Asheng, I appreciate your kind intention, but I know my own situation. My bone structure and aptitude are too poor. I probably can't master this divine technique."
Li Musheng patted his shoulder and smiled, "Don't worry. This martial art doesn't require any martial arts aptitude or bone structure. It only depends on the practitioner's willpower and mental disposition. As long as you persist in practicing, protecting yourself in the martial world in the future won't be a problem."
