The night passed without incident, and Pig-Slaughter Lane showed no sign of unusual activity.
Early the next morning, the young constable changed into a fresh set of clothes and came to the entrance of the lane looking for Li Qiuchen.

"This gang operated in the city for years. They were finally suppressed by the authorities three years ago, and the oil workshop that served as their base of operations is now the pork shop."
"What was the sentence?"
