"You? Just who are you?" General Akira asked, his voice trembling for the first time as terror gripped his heart.
Adonis walked toward the serpentoid with eerie grace, as if he were the embodiment of fractured dreams.
"It is a pity you still do not recognize me. But no matter, since a dead, ugly snake has no need to know my name," Adonis said.
Akira’s eyelids quivered. "Y-y... You are the new King? No. This cannot be. How can you be so strong?"
Adonis was now only meters away from Akira, looking directly into his fearful, serpentine face.
"You are so foolish. Why did you even assume I was weak in the first place? Does a Dragon Queen propose marriage to just anybody? You should have understood that a woman like her would never settle for anyone inferior. She knew exactly why she was choosing me." He paused, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "To destroy you all."
"Destroy us all?" Akira barked angrily. "Do you know what you are talking about? We are the proud envoys of the Gods! When the dragons enslaved us in the past, those deities took us under their shelter. Laying a hand on us means touching their tails. And there is only one outcome: Judgment!"
Adonis looked at Akira with an exhausted expression. "So stupid. You sound like one of those religious fanatics from my past life," he added simply. "There are no benevolent gods. There are only interests."
"Nonsense! They would never abandon us!"
Akira’s fear suddenly vanished, replaced by a desperate, jagged cunning.
Without a word of warning, his humanoid form dissolved into a massive white snake.
His jaw unhinged to an impossible degree, revealing rows of translucent fangs dripping with a glowing, violet fluid.
Whoosh!
With a speed that defied the wind, Akira lunged. His maw closed over Adonis, swallowing the King whole before the dragons above could even register the movement.
"Adonis!" Millia scream, looking at the massive 60 meters serpent.
"Hahaha! Foolish boy!" Akira roared as he soared high into the air. "My stomach is a vat of the God-Slaying Miasma! Your flesh is already melting into soup, and your soul will be digested before the sun sets!"
The remaining Sky Serpents let out excited cheer, watching their General fly triumphantly above the battlefield.
"Hiss, we have won!"
"Sssss, general Akira killed their king!"
Seeing their excited hisses, a shadow of worry fell upon the troops of Chaos order.
Millia was already chasing after Akira on her dragon ride, looking as desperate as she get.
Meanwhile, Inside Akira’s gut, the concentrated poison sizzled like a corrosive liquid designed to break down the toughest dragon scales in seconds.
But the victory lasted only a heartbeat.
Akira’s triumphant laughter choked into a wet, gurgling sound.
"Blurgh, what’s happening? Cough!"
His midsection began to bulge in a violent, structural expansion that forced his ribs to snap outward.

Inside the toxic darkness, Adonis didn’t fight the poison. He simply willed his own existence to take up more space. His height doubled, then quadrupled, then tenfold.
SPLUTCH!
The sound was like a thunderclap muffled by raw meat.
Akira’s stomach wall reached its limit and tore open.
Soon, a massive blood-slicked hand burst through the serpent’s side.
SQUELCH!
Then followed by a shoulder, and then the rest of a titan-sized Adonis.
BOOOM!
The explosion of gore was absolute. Akira’s massive body didn’t just rip, it disintegrated from the inside out because of the chaos energy.
Like a crimson waterfall, shards of bone and gallons of serpentine blood rained down on the desert.
The General didn’t even have time to scream before his spine was pulverized by the sheer force of the expansion.
Adonis stood suspended in the air, his body now 50 meters tall and emitting a dense palpating chaos energy.
He looked down at the shredded remains of the so called "Envoy of the Gods" falling toward the sand in useless, tattered ribbons.

He wiped a smear of violet poison from his cheek, making his skin completely unblemished.
"My apologies, your stomach was a bit cramped. And I prefer a room with a view," he remarked to the fallen gooey remains.
"Thwak! Thwak! Thwak!"
The three hundred or so surviving Sky Serpents immediately descended and lowered their serpentine heads in surrender.
"Hiss, please spare us, Your Majesty!"
"Hsss, we are willing to be war slaves!"
"Yes, yes. We will serve the Dragon Kingdom faithfully, just like the good old days of our ancestors."
Adonis looked over them, considering their surrender. Though insidious and traitorous, they were still useful—especially if he wanted to expand the Chaos Order. However, he had to ensure their loyalty first.
"Very well, I will give you all a chance," he said to the kneeling serpents, his titan form shadowing over them like a god. "However, to earn a place in our Kingdom, you all must slay your own kin in the fight to come. Can you do that?"
The serpents, both elites and commoners alike, glanced at each other as if conversing through a neural link. Soon, all of them bowed and declared in a unified shout:
"WE ACCEPT THE ALLEGIANCE OF KING ADONIS FOR THE AGES TO COME!"
"ALL HAIL THE KING OF DRAGONIA!"
"ALL HAIL THE KING OF DRAGONIA!"
"ALL HAIL THE KING OF CHAOS!"
"SSSSSSS..."
Their combined hisses shook the mountains and the sky, and the soldiers of the Chaos Order felt their blood boil with pride. Millia came closer to Adonis, who had now shrunk back to his normal size.
"Adonis, they are not trustworthy!" she said, looking at the hundreds of Sky Serpents chanting his name in unison like a mantra.
He clasped his hands behind his back, replying, "I know, Millia. I will take care of that later. For now, we must establish contact with our comrades. Let them know we were victorious! And we are coming!"
