My Seven Wives in One Body and Me, her Manager

Chapter 153: Karma For The Bully

The next day, while William and Elenor were away at their office for work, Dennis, Daisy, Diana, Dahlia, Donna, Deborah, Dulcia, and Daphne—along with Destiny, whom he was cradling—were relaxing in the living room after taking turns for a quick session in the training room. "Ding... dong," the doorbell suddenly rang. Dennis stood up, walked to the door, and peeked through. The person standing on the other side looked like a hunter, fully geared up with weapons, and there were two others behind him. Curious, Dennis cracked the door open slightly, though he kept the security chain engaged.

"Can I help you?" Dennis asked.

Before they could answer, he caught a glimpse of Chad standing in the driveway with a smirk on his face. He knew right then and there that these three hunters were up to no good. He shut the door, unlatched the chain, then stepped outside and closed the door behind him.

"What do you want?" Dennis’s tone had completely shifted.

"Whoa, easy there, bro. Can you come with us for a second?" asked the short-haired hunter in front of him, who was a few inches shorter than Dennis.

"Just say it here. What do you want?" Dennis asked.

"Who is it, dear?"

Suddenly, Daphne stepped outside while cradling Destiny. Dennis tried to tell her to go back in, but it was too late. Daphne had already seen the three hunters out front and Chad standing in the driveway, and she clearly had no intention of moving.

"We want to know—is it true you’re the one who flattened his tire yesterday?" the hunter asked.

"No, it definitely wasn’t me. And whose car is that, anyway? Is it actually his? Because I have a feeling it’s not," Dennis replied.

"You’re right, it’s not his. That car belongs to our boss. So we’re here to ask some questions and teach a lesson to anyone brave enough to mess with the boss’s tires," the hunter answered with a smirk.

"Oh, is that so? Well, see for yourself," Dennis said.

Dennis showed them the footage recorded by Sami, which had originally been taken just as a precaution but had turned out to be quite useful. After watching the video showing Dennis and his seven wives standing perfectly still before the tire suddenly burst, the three hunters looked livid. They immediately whipped their heads around toward Chad, whose arrogant smile vanished the moment he saw them looking. Then, the short-haired hunter leading the group looked back at Dennis.

"Alright. Thanks, sorry to bother you. Have a good day," the hunter said, taking his leave.

The three of them stepped off the porch and approached Chad. They started talking to him, which clearly sent Chad into a panic. They then ushered Chad out of the driveway and started walking down the street past the house, taking him with them. As he was being led away, Chad looked back at Dennis and Daphne—who was still holding Destiny—with a look of pure spite and hatred.

Dennis led Daphne back inside. As she walked ahead of him, he suddenly realized that Daphne looked a little different from the other six Daisys. She seemed slightly softer and more curvaceous, even though their bodies were supposed to be identical.

"Hmm... how is that possible?" Dennis wondered to himself.

The moment they were back in the living room, everyone automatically asked who it was. Dennis immediately explained who had come and why.

"Huh... him again. He’s a con artist, husband. He loves to talk big to manipulate women and drain their assets, then disappears the second there’s trouble. Here’s the proof," Diana said, tossing a file onto the table.

"Wow... you already got the data?" Dennis asked, picking up the file.

"Of course, something like that is easy," Diana replied proudly.

"He also has several profiles with different names on social media. On one account, he pretends to be an investment consultant; on another, a spiritual guru; on another, a finance expert. There are three more besides those. His followers are all women. He’s a real fraud," Donna added.

"Can I kill him now?" Dahlia asked.

"Oh, save the remains... I think he could be useful," Deborah added.

"Good grief, don’t just go around killing people. Leave him be. If he keeps bothering us, we’ll take action then," Dennis replied.

"Oops... sorry dear," Daphne said.

"Hah... looks like she already acted," Dulcia said, pointing at Daphne.

"What did you do, Daphne?" Daisy asked, taking Destiny from Daphne’s arms.

"Yeah... go ahead and tell us, what exactly did you do?" Dennis asked.

"He... he," Daphne answered.

Since Daphne wouldn’t give him a straight answer, Dennis finally picked up the file on the table and started reading it. It turned out that what Chad was currently doing was working as a personal trainer for the young wife of a wealthy businessman, and it was obvious he was having an affair with her. The car he had been using yesterday belonged to that wealthy businessman, who employed hunters as his bodyguards—and it was crystal clear that the businessman was a mobster. As Dennis read, he could only smirk, seeing that the Chad who used to bully him so much had turned into nothing more than a fraud and a parasite.

Meanwhile, in a park not far from the house, the three hunters who had visited Dennis were sitting on a park bench, flanking Chad. One of them pulled out a ringing phone, answered it, and listened to whoever was on the other end.

"No, Boss. It wasn’t that guy who used the car. We’re still looking into it," the hunter said.

A moment later, he hung up and turned to look at Chad, who was sitting between them looking both annoyed and terrified.

"You said they were the ones who flattened the tires yesterday because they borrowed the car from you while you were bringing it back from the shop on the Mistress’s orders? Which one is it?" the hunter asked, his voice casual and calm, yet dangerously deep.

"I’m not lying! What I said is the truth," Chad protested.

"Well, the evidence says otherwise. You’re the one who intentionally stopped in front of his house, and he and his wives didn’t even move. The recording is pretty clear, man," the hunter replied, staring Chad down.

"From where I’m sitting, it looks like you were just showing off using the Boss’s car, and they never borrowed it at all. Don’t try to play us, pal," the hunter on Chad’s other side added.

Chad went silent. He couldn’t say a word because the truth was exactly that—he had wanted to show off to Dennis using that car.

"Oi, hurry up. What’s the deal? If you’re the one who flattened them, just say so. At worst, the boss will just demand you pay for it and ban you from the house," the third hunter said.

"I don’t know! I didn’t feel like I hit anything that could have flattened them when I drove past. I don’t understand it either," Chad replied.

"Man... this is a mess. First someone scratches the car yesterday, and now the tires are flattened and ruined because it was driven like that afterward... what are we supposed to do if no one takes responsibility? Do you even get it?" the hunter on the other side asked, leaning his elbow on Chad’s shoulder, clearly losing his patience.

But before Chad could answer, "slash," suddenly the throats of all three hunters were sliced by something. All three of them collapsed onto Chad, blood spraying everywhere and even coating his face. He turned pale instantly as the weight of the three bodies pinned him down in the middle.

"What... what is this... he... hey... help... help!" Chad screamed in terror.

"Thud," a blood-stained knife suddenly fell from above and landed right in Chad’s lap. He reflexively grabbed it and looked up slowly, sensing a shadow looming over him. His eyes widened in shock as he saw a shadow of himself staring down at him—it was faceless, yet it wore an unnaturally wide, twisted grin.

"Huh... what... what... what are you?" Chad asked, trembling so hard his tongue went numb.

"Hands up! Drop the knife slowly!"

Chad whipped his head forward and saw the park security guards already training their firearms on him. In that instant, reality hit him. He glanced down at the body of one of the hunters and realized the man’s body cam had recorded everything, transmitting the footage directly to the security office. Chad looked up one last time, but the shadow peering down from above had vanished. Now, he was facing two guards ready to pull the trigger. Finally, "clang," he dropped the knife and raised his hands.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Daphne was in the kitchen fixing a bottle for Destiny. She glanced down and saw her own shadow had eyes and was wearing a wide grin.

"Oh... so you only made it as far as the quiet park nearby, huh? It would’ve been much more exciting if he’d killed those three in a public place... but oh well, thank you anyway," Daphne said to the shadow.

The shadow immediately sank into the floor and vanished. Daphne went back to whistling while she prepared the milk, perfectly relaxed, as if nothing had happened at all.
