Chapter 86 - 86: Keep Silent
I was truly confused. How could they not be injured? It was as if their wounds were healing rapidly. I clenched my fists when I saw that they were completely unharmed.
Are they mutants and do they have limitless power? That was what I thought.
He immediately raised his hand and moved it, then several trees were uprooted by themselves and attacked me at the same time.
I jumped over the trees that almost hit me and this time I also could not withstand their attacks because they used more brutal attacks than before so I was overwhelmed.
The situation was truly chaotic, even several houses had already been destroyed and only a few trees remained standing in the ground.
"How do I make them die?" I asked anxiously because I also could not find the way. Maybe if I stabbed their hearts they would die and leave no trace, or maybe just slashing them would make them collapse to the ground.
While I was thinking about that, suddenly a shadowy figure was watching me. I realized it from the corner of my eye; it seemed he had been monitoring me for a long time.
Because this time I wanted to catch that person red-handed, I immediately approached the giants in front of me.
I immediately leaped and moved quickly, stabbing directly into his heart so they only realized afterward that I attacked with incredible speed.
Brett

"Akhhhh……" the howl was heard very clearly from one of them whose heart had been pierced by my sword and he immediately fell to the ground.
Bruk
Bruk
I kept stabbing him deeper and deeper while the others quickly moved toward their fallen friend.
I stepped on his chest and then turned around to leave them for a while.
"You…." after that I immediately pulled my sword out and left for a moment.
I hid behind a tree not far from them and then I noticed that the demon whose heart had been pierced did not rise again, and blood kept flowing out from his body.
When I was observing, suddenly my eyes noticed something and I immediately threw the dagger I had prepared earlier.
"Akhh…." Without him realizing it, I had already thrown the dagger and hit his thigh, causing him to scream in pain.
I immediately moved quickly toward the source of the sound and indeed he was a spy tasked with monitoring my every movement.
I grabbed his neck and he struggled in pain considering there was a sharp dagger in his thigh and I was choking his neck.
"Who told you to monitor me?" I asked while choking him, but he immediately shook his head.
"If you do not want to tell the truth then death will become your final path." But he still shook his head and I immediately kicked his knee causing him to collapse onto the ground.
He endured the pain in his neck because until now I was still choking him.
BUG
AKHHH
"SO WHO TOLD YOU?" I asked, but he still shook his head and after that I immediately pulled out my sword and stabbed his heart, causing him to collapse onto the ground. Several witches also realized it and immediately left all the chaos that had happened.
This time he truly died. I did not want to deal with spies because I did not have much time and I also wanted to know the purpose of the witches coming here.
"Damn it, they all escaped." I cursed after seeing the witches leave just like that.
I walked toward Michelle's house and stared blankly at what was in front of me.
The condition of Michelle's house was truly impossible to repair anymore, and I also saw the ruins of her house.
There was no other choice except to find a way into Michael's underground room and one by one I removed the rubble from the ground.
I closed my eyes and started thinking and it seemed it was in Lira's room.
I lifted things one by one and when I moved the bed back, suddenly I noticed the bed was not in its original place. I thought maybe it was a path to Michael's underground room.
When I flipped the bed over, indeed beneath it there was a round iron door.
I stomped around it several times to make sure this was real, then I immediately removed some of the collapsed debris around the round door.
When I lifted it, suddenly a cracking sound was heard, but I froze.
Krek…
I immediately looked downward to see whether this was really a trap or a shortcut path, and indeed while I was looking, the round iron door slowly opened.
I stared at the hole before me and suddenly candle lights lit up in the darkness. Although not too bright, it seemed like lighting intentionally designed for entering inside.
There was a small staircase used as a way to descend deeper and I also started entering and going down the stairs.
I descended one step at a time and without realizing it I had walked for quite a long time, so I immediately shouted Michelle's name but there was no answer from her, making me silent. Was this a bridge designed for enemies or had I entered the wrong underground path?
"Michael.....where are you?" I shouted loudly but there was no answer, only echoes throughout this corridor.
I felt the ground surface was quite damp and it seemed this place was close to a water source, so I hurried to find the ground surface to see what was really happening.
When I realized that the stairs had reached the ground floor, I immediately jumped and there was also a very large steel door there.
I stared at the door which had no gap. It seemed like the same door from when I got lost inside the palace hall.
I looked around and apparently I saw several messy footprints. It seemed this was the path Michelle used to leave because I saw some footprints were different sizes, some small and some large.
I kept staring at the door before me because this door seemed specifically designed for someone who knew about it, but how was it possible that I did not know more about them and what was truly happening?
I felt along the wall and after quite a long time, indeed as I suspected there was a stone that was not symmetrical and it seemed to be the secret key, so I immediately pressed the uneven wall surface and indeed the door suddenly opened.
When the door opened, my eyes widened seeing several neatly arranged books and there was also brighter lighting than outside. There were several paintings covered with cloth.
I walked slowly and opened one painting that made me curious because it was very large and very striking in this room.
I touched the painting calmly.
When my hand grabbed the cloth, the painting appeared clearly before me. I immediately tore the cloth away.
I did not know why but that figure looked familiar before me.
There was a painting depicting someone with an incredibly powerful aura. Even several people in the painting were bowing as if worshipping and submitting to that creature.
I had never seen such a creature before because it had a terrifying face, horns on its head, a very large body, and several parts of its body looked like pus was coming out.
I looked around and apparently there was a room there and they were performing a ritual that I did not know the purpose of.
While I was observing the surroundings, suddenly the sound of synchronized footsteps was heard.
My eyes widened in shock and suddenly a small child grabbed my hand.
I looked down in shock and it turned out to be Lira.
"What are you doing here?" I immediately lowered myself to her height and she immediately told me to stay quiet.
She moved her hands as if she were chanting a spell, then her hand swept across the entire room and suddenly I could not see anything except the two of us.
"What are you doing?"
"Where is your sister?" But she still shook her head as if refusing to answer and then she urged me to quickly leave this room because the ground vibrations were becoming stronger and I was sure intruders had entered this underground place.
I immediately followed wherever Lira was taking me.
When we had walked far enough and the footsteps could no longer be heard, I immediately released Lira's hand and lowered myself to her height again.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked curiously and she just stared at me silently. Lira was different from the one I had met before, so who was she really? Was she truly the Lira I knew or merely someone disguising herself as Lira?
"Xanders……" she said firmly and not like an ordinary child. My eyes immediately widened when she spoke like Michelle.
"Is that you….. Michelle?" I asked uncertainly and Michael remained silent.
