The Flower Is Finished

Chapter 52 - 52: Corpses lying on top of Each o ther

We had already entered the coffin. The hot air was immediately felt on the skin, the enclosed air made us uncomfortable.

I felt this coffin as if it was being tossed about in the water but we did not dare to turn and could only rely on instinct to stay alive first.

Inside the silent darkness the sound of a strong current could be heard so we could only remain still and forced ourselves to stay calm but several impacts became more frequent so hesitantly I began to slide the coffin door and indeed according to what I saw this time we were trapped again inside water that we did not know where it would take us from here.

"What do you see Xanders?" Farel asked while truly trying to get out of this situation but because the coffin was quite narrow and we had fairly large bodies, he forcefully pushed the coffin door and he was stunned seeing what was in front of him. "Are we trapped again in the water?" Farel asked with a stunned face and looking around it turned out the water carried a path we did not know but it did not seem like the path we passed before considering there was nothing I had seen before. This felt different.

"Where will we be taken?" I shook my head because honestly I did not understand this either and it made me reluctant to answer his question.

The cold air was very intense on the skin, making my skin feel like it was peeling by itself. I felt a very intense cold air which made me look forward, where the water would carry us again it turned out ahead there was a block of ice which was not the territory of the elf clan, how could there be a block of ice in an underground room and this was also part of the werewolf or vampire in one place.

"Do you think……does this have something to do with their clan?" I was confused how to answer, if I answered no maybe he would not believe it considering the evidence was right in front of his eyes or also could not prove the connection between the elf clan and the vampire but it did not seem like something that made me think too far.

"I don't know I also don't understand!" I answered honestly and suddenly when we entered this corridor the cold air was immediately felt on my skin. Considering we were not wearing any clothes and were only bare-chested so the air temperature pierced deeper into the skin.

We got down from the coffin and slowly walked toward the cave.

From here I could see several images clearly in front of my eyes. These images had existed for thousands of years, this alliance was not brief but had lasted long.

It seemed this had existed thousands of years ago and they also cooperated for mutual benefit. I did not understand but from what was seen in the images I could conclude something much bigger than I expected.

Farel kept staring at the images in front of his eyes.

This building looked worn out, even though it had cold air but this building seemed rarely stepped on because there were no traces like it had been inhabited.

We explored this room slowly and both my hands looked like they really wanted to touch it but I canceled it because I did not know what trap would be triggered if I touched it wrong. There was doubt in my heart.

We were still in the underground room. And this seemed different from the previous path.

I looked at several architectures and indeed the air here felt more detailed than before and we walked slowly.

Because this was a trap that could kill you without you realizing it.

We both walked deeper and suddenly the air became colder and lumps of ice attached to the walls showed this was something not simple.

"Do you think this is one of the things you thought?" my lips were stiff to say something but what he thought was the same thing I thought.

"How do we get out of here?"

"How is it possible under this palace there are traps that do not make sense." Farel said while exhaling harshly but I still paid attention to what was in front of me.

"We should not touch anything carelessly. We must hurry and leave here." I said while looking at a lump of ice that moved by itself even though what I knew ice did not move by itself whether this was real or just an illusion that made our eyes focus on it.

We walked even though our skin felt cold like being pierced by needles we kept exploring this path.

We kept walking and did not see or hear anything inhabited but only silence that made us glance at each other.

In front of us there was a door that seemed made of ice and we looked around again to make sure there was nothing we would regret leaving behind.

We kept walking until we were already in front of the door we would open.

Farrel was about to touch the door but suddenly I heard a bird chirping but I did not find anything except us here so I thought it was just a sound and we hurried to open the door.

"Did you hear a bird chirping?" Farel asked me and I shook my head. It was impossible for me to say that I recognized that bird sound.

"I think I heard a bird chirping but I don't know where exactly it is." we kept searching where the bird came from but still did not find it.

"It seems we heard wrong." I said calmly.

We were about to open the exit door, but before that I had to touch the wall to make sure there was no trap again.

My hand touched something uneven I could not determine what it was but I did not want to think negatively and I immediately pushed the door even though it was closed and locked tightly.

"Sanders... If you do that danger will happen especially if you do not see it carefully." I froze after Farel said that what I meant was why suddenly I was in a hurry even though we were not in a hurry.

I also could not control myself. Like losing awareness.

Farrel looked at me with suspicion.

"Why are you in a hurry like chasing something?" Farel asked while narrowing his eyes but I looked away toward the door without answering him.

"We should leave here immediately and find the exit." I said but Farel still looked at me suspiciously.

We finally pushed the door even though it felt very heavy but it would be easier if we worked together this door seemed locked from inside and made us exhausted and this door also seemed to have no gap so it was not visible unless we touched it.

"We count from one to three and then push together." Farel nodded and then we began pushing together.

A creaking sound of the door opening was heard followed by cracks in the wall and we looked at each other.

"What trap is this again we open the door and the wall collapses?" I asked Farel and we hurried inside and indeed this time we entered an underground corridor smaller than before and there were lights hanging on the walls so I realized this was a passage often used by them. The air temperature immediately changed. We had entered without a trap.

We looked at the door and from outside it looked like an ordinary wall and did not look like a connected door.

"Hey, you!" Suddenly someone called and we froze remembering we were not wearing soldier clothes and clearly we were elf clan.

"Do you want to die or be beaten a hundred times?" we both stood still like statues.

Slowly we turned around and indeed in front of us were soldiers carrying weapons and one of them looked at me suspiciously.

"Why are you not wearing clothes?" The two soldiers approached us and surprise made us breathe again, we were not wearing clothes but what confused us was why they did not realize who we were.

"Uh…. That…." Farel said stuttering deliberately and one of the soldiers hit his thigh hard.

BRAKKK

"If asked then answer do not act like a stuttering person." he said after hitting Farel.

"Our clothes… someone took them." I said illogically but foolishly they believed it and hit my thigh.

"Wear this." he handed clothes from someone lying below. Farrel looked shocked and realized there was a corpse near him.

"What is that?" A foolish question came from Farrel and was answered with a cynical look from one of the soldiers.

"You will end like this." He kicked the corpse. And we realized there were soldiers killed or used as sacrifice.

My eyes stared in disbelief seeing several dead soldiers and the smell of blood was clear.

We just stared.

"Hurry wear it and we will not wait long." He ordered us to remove the clothes from the corpse.

We hesitated taking it even though it felt uncomfortable seeing it.
