Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend

Chapter 1110 - 351: Facing the Demigod (2)

Precisely because he was a warrior who had experienced countless battles, this brave soul had a very clear insight into the situation.

"I have already lost, regardless of what I do, I will lose." he whispered, "The moment you flew up, the moment you donned that damn war armor and pulled out your weapon!"

"I knew then, I was not your match. This is simply not a fair duel." With the last sentence, the warrior of Ancient Egypt looked towards his civilization’s god.

"But the trial is not over yet."

Anubis’s voice echoed in the arena.

"You must complete your part."

His command was firm.

Seti could only smile wryly.

"I have lost the will to fight and forfeited the qualifications of a warrior." He slowly lowered the Kahkhis Sword in his hand, and the shield slipped to the ground with a dull thud.

"I don’t want to fight anymore."

He looked up at Ian, with a hint of resolve in his eyes.

"You’ve won, I will no longer resist."

After all, as a warrior, being chased around was truly embarrassing. Regardless, he was just a phantom in history, it was nothing more than giving up some time of existence.

The warrior thought very clearly.

The arena was in an uproar.

"He gave up!"

A phantom audience member roared.

"Is he no longer a hero?"

"He betrayed history!"

Another shouted.

"He abandoned glory!"

Seti did not respond to the various boos and loud curses from these spectators; he just stood quietly, like a statue about to collapse.

Ian looked at him.

A hint of complex emotion flashed in his eyes.

"You are a true warrior."

He gave such an evaluation, showcasing a certain level of emotional intelligence, "You understand better than most that you are not facing an opponent from your era."

Ian said no more, instead raising his large blade slowly.

"Since you’ve said so..."

The blade’s light poured down like the Milky Way, slicing through the air, splitting Seti’s figure in two.

But there was no blood, no screams. Only a bright particle of light arose from him, scattered like stardust, eventually disappearing into the air of the arena. Seti’s figure dissolved into numerous golden light particles within the dazzling blade light, rising like a reverse current of stars toward the Netherworld’s dim sky.

A dead silence swept across the arena.

Immediately after, boos surged like a tide. The audience seats were filled with clamor; those ancient souls let out deafening boos, some cursed Seti for cowardice, others angrily tore at their shrouds. A few furious souls even tried to jump off the stands but were rebounded by the arena’s barrier.

"Cheater!"

"He killed the hero of history!"

"This is blasphemy against the past!"

In contrast, Ian’s "virtual audience" cheered even louder.

"Ian! Ian! Ian!"

"The future triumphs over the past!"

"Wisdom triumphs over glory!"

"History is not the end, but the starting point!"

"Master Ian is invincible!"

"The forty-meter machete reigns supreme!"

"We suggest directly awarding Master Ian the title of ’Pyramid Cup’ champion!"

...

The virtual beings endowed with the treasury of future quips spoke abundantly; Ian made an exaggerated bow, the metal joints of his armor moved smoothly.

Then he gripped the hilt with one hand, easily lifting the forty-meter machete from the ground. As the last bit of light particles dissipated, the entire arena began to shake violently.

The stone-built walls flowed and restructured like liquid, the sandy ground melted into the pitch-black water of the Nether River, then swiftly solidified into a smooth obsidian platform. Twelve stone pillars inscribed with runes rose from the ground, their tops burning with a ghostly blue Soul Fire. The sky was shrouded by a translucent magic barrier.

An ancient Egyptian star map appeared above it.

"Arena for wizards only." Anubis said in a low voice, with a hint of seriousness in his tone, "Magic is no longer forbidden; this is the stage for the second trial."

His figure appeared at the highest judge’s seat.

His scepter struck the ground heavily.

"First trial, pass."

"Second trial: Challenge a Legendary Wizard equal to you."

Ian’s armor creaked as each component folded and contracted like a living creature, eventually transforming back into a metal bracelet on his wrist. The forty-meter machete also shrunk into a delicate paper cutter, which he casually tucked into his belt.

"An equal Legendary Wizard?"

Ian glanced around, slightly narrowing his eyes.

"Interesting..."

He was not nervous at all, after all, it wasn’t Ian’s first time facing a Legendary Wizard. Just at this moment, Anubis’s scepter struck the ground again.

"Begin."

A fissure suddenly opened in the center of the obsidian platform, and a figure clad in a star robe slowly rose. This person wore a crown made of gold and obsidian, holding a snake-shaped staff with its tip inlaid with a gemstone flickering with ghostly blue flame. When he looked up, Ian’s eyes narrowed slightly.

This was a demigod.

Ancient Egypt’s Legendary Wizard, Heka-Ur, who, according to legend, once stole the power of the Sun God Ra with a mortal’s body and was eventually cursed by the gods, forever wandering between life and death. Heka-Ur’s eyes had no pupils, only an endless starry sky swirling within. His voice was like the whispers of a thousand souls overlapping together.

"Intruder... you have disturbed the eternal slumber."

Ian’s fingertips were already resting on his magic wand, but a slight smile appeared on his lips.

"Demigod Wizard? Interesting."

Ian also drew out his Elder Wand; the way he held his wand shared a lineage with Voldemort, exuding an exceptionally dashing aura.
