In the mountains, Immortal Spirit Qi was exceptionally dense.

It seemed as though the entire world was sublimating in invisible ways.

Xu Yang even saw that plants and trees which had withered were now sprouting green buds, life returning.

Leaving the wilderness quietly, Xu Yang followed his sense and sped toward where Immortal Spirit Qi was thick.

Most of a day passed; he found many treasures recovering and sublimating, but none satisfied his goals.

He encountered cultivators of all major powers from Four Spirits Town several times.

Yet, nothing ever broke out—all was peaceful.

"There’s still days ahead, time enough to search slowly."

"Ideally, I’d find somewhere astounding, enough to accumulate three treasure elixirs at once."

Xu Yang snapped his gaze to a distant point.

A short while later.

Xu Yang entered a winding gorge.

The canyon stretched like a python; above, Immortal Spirit swirled like mist.

On the way, he even noticed many cultivators rushing over—the commotion was evident.

Xu Yang pondered, speeding toward the uproar.

As he drew closer, violent sounds of battle reached him.

Facing the Immortal Beasts were four cultivators.

But soon, something else on the sidelines seized his attention.

At the edge of the battlefield, a massive pit gaped in the ground, rich Immortal Spirit Qi surging forth wildly.

Xu Yang narrowed his eyes; his twelfth grade immortal foundation subtly trembled.

His senses told him that powerful, formless essence coiled around the pit’s edge.

"A treasure land."

Xu Yang licked his lips and slowly shifted his gaze back to the four fighting the Immortal Beasts.

Three at Middle Stage of Celestial Immortal, one at Initial Stage.

A horrible scream echoed; an Immortal Beast bellowed mournfully and fell.

The other beast was swiftly slain by the four’s combined attacks.

Many cultivators were arriving at the scene.

But upon glimpsing the four’s cultivation, all turned pale.

"This land is now claimed by my Yang Family; everyone else best look elsewhere."

The leading cultivator swept his gaze around, issuing a loud proclamation.

"They’re from the Yang Family!"

"Forget it, let’s go."

The four cultivators glanced over, expressions cold as ice, killing intent thick as fields of thorns.

"Yang Family?"

"Hmph!"

With a chill snort, Xu Yang erupted—a single blade strike swept forth like a mighty celestial river, enveloping all four in a torrent from the heavens.

"Do not underestimate him!"

"Work together!"

The four’s faces shifted—they spoke as one, leaping to action.

But as soon as they met the celestial river, the first two cried out in agony, crashing down helplessly.

The river exploded into a rain of countless threads of blade energy, piercing the void.

Xu Yang stepped forward in mid-air, his blade flashing thunderous and swift, smashing the third’s Immortal Artifact to the ground, then ghosting across his neck—severing head from body.

"You—you dare kill a Yang Family cultivator! You’re dead!"

"It’s your Yang Family that I’ve come to slay."

Xu Yang remained impassive, utterly merciless, casually slaughtering all four.

Three Middle Stage Celestial Immortals—let alone them, even Late Stage would be no match for him.

Against the Yang Family, he showed not a trace of pity or restraint.

With a sweep of his sleeve, blade qi surged, obliterating all four corpses.

At the cavern’s base, the vast space resembled an underground spiritual river, suffused with immense Immortal Spirit and ley line energy.

In an instant his gaze was drawn to a dozen drifting strands of mysterious light upon the surface of Immortal Spirit Qi.

This mysterious radiance was unlike what he’d seen at Black Fire Immortal Mountain—thick as an arm, jade-like on the surface, yet within a miniature river writhed and flowed.

To the naked eye, under these conditions, it looked like a tiny celestial river streaking through clouds.

"It’s the Void River Immortal Light!"
