Fated to the Triplet Alphas

Chapter 117: The Exchange Student

Chapter 117

~Jade’s POV~

I felt the hot, powerful pulses of Xavier’s release flooding me, filling me so completely that some of it leaked out around where our organs were joined.

The sensation triggered another smaller aftershock in me, making me whimper and clench around him again.

For long moments, we stayed locked together, both of us breathing hard, bodies slick with sweat.

Xavier’s weight pressed me deliciously into the mattress, grounding me as the worst of the drug-induced fire slowly began to ebb, replaced by the warm, sated glow of our bond.

He lifted his head, eyes now a softer blue mixed with lingering red, and brushed damp strands of hair from my face with surprising gentleness. "You okay?" he asked, voice hoarse but tender.

I managed a shaky nod, a small, exhausted smile tugging at my lips despite how wrecked I felt. "Better... so much better. The burning... It’s fading."

A satisfied rumble vibrated in his chest. He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead, then my lips, lingering there as if he couldn’t bear to pull away. "Good. But we’re not done yet, little wolf. Not until every last trace is gone."

He shifted his hips experimentally, still hard inside me, and I gasped at the fresh spark of pleasure. Unlike our first and last time, he did not have the pleasure of going for a second round because of his brothers taking turns, but now...

I bit my lower lip, not knowing how best to respond.

"I’d be honoured if you said yes."

I forgot myself and let out a rather loud chuckle. Rather than responding with words, my body, still hypersensitive from the drug and the intense orgasm, responded immediately with another rush of wetness.

Xavier smirked as he began to move again—slower this time, but no less deep. "Round two, Jade. I’m going to take my time now... make sure you feel nothing but me for the rest of the night."

I moaned softly, wrapping my arms around his neck to pull him right back down fro another kiss.

The fire was still there, simmering lower but far from extinguished. And as he started thrusting into me once more with that perfect, controlled rhythm, I knew he would keep his promise.

He would burn it all out of me all through the night.

By the time I arrived home, I found my mother seated in the living room and staring at me with that perfect knowing smile.

I wanted to escape as best as I could but i knew I was far from doing that, thanks to my nightly endeavviurs which I failed to inform her of.

So, I did the ebst thing I could at that point.

I lied.

"Sorry, I did not call. After the party, I slept over at my friend’s. You know we girls..."

My mother nodded, her smile growing wide. And as soon as I paused, she tilted her head ever so. "What friend is that?"

My thoughts betrayed me, going straight to Xavier. Then reason came knocking at my mind’s door. Isadora would be the best choice because Mum knew her and she would never question a sleepover with Isadora.

Just maybe scold me for not informing her and reminding me of how worried she was.

If I told her it was Ziva, one of my new friends, then be sure she would absolutely love to meet her, call her, and still scold me.

Wearing the perfect smile, I gave a nod and took two steps closer. "Simply. Isadora, of course."

I waited for her to agree with me, but instead, my mum stood up, walked over to me, and finally gave me that smile.

"You see, I seem to find your alibi a bit disturbing." My bows creased. "Because, when I did not hear from you, I called Isadora, and she had not seen you since she arrived at the party."

I shook my head, scoffing a little. "Huh, mum now. I..."

"I even called Ziva. Isadora was kind enough to give me her number to check up on you and perhaps your date with..."

"Mum," I interjected. "It’s not like that. I did not have a date, but I did not tell you about Ziva either because..."

"You will not lie to me, Jade." Her voice was stern, making me swallow my excuses. "Definitely not after you reek of sex."

I sniffled, wondering if, after a thorough bath twice at the hotel, I smell that way. And to make matters worse, my mind kept replaying my time with Xavier.

"Or better still, if you smell so heavily of your mate."

I pursed my lips. There was no more hiding it from her now. Instinctively, I reached up and rubbed my nape where my mate mark sat beautifully on my neck.

The feel of Xavier’s tongue on my mark just a few hours ago, his moaning... no, groaning my name...

I let my hands fall to my side. Mum ought to know. "Mum."

"Save it, dear. I have no intention of stopping or reprimanding you. Just... I’d have loved to know about them."

"Them? How..." I passed my lips together. "Were you spying on me? How did you know I had more than one mate?"

"I..." I did not let my mother rest and tried pushing through; unfortunately, she saw through my plan and attacked. "That is not the point. It was sad knowing I knew nothing about my daughter and found out the most important aspect of her life from a stranger..."

"You would have known if you actually spared a bit of time with me," I muttered, cutting my mum short.

"Pardon?"

I sighed, dropping my hands. "Nothing."

Seeing the hurt flash in her eyes felt like the air had been ounvhed out of my lungs, making me bite my lower lip. "Sorry, mum. I’ll be in my room."

Mum did not say anything and let me walk away, but before I could finally leave her sight, she called behind me. "I’d like to meet your mates, the triplet Alphas, by next week."

She gave a weak smile, turned around and walked outside.

***********

The weekend went by fast while my mind was occupied with so many revelations I had to do on my own, that I did not bother with anything else.

Not even with Kael gone, or the fact that someone, maybe Isadora, had been filling my mum up on my personal life, or the fact that I now had to tell the man I shared an intimate night with and my other mates, that I now had a fourth, and watch them come undone.

School began as usual. Though the moments after I managed to fight some of those goons on my own and after seemed fleeting and a blur, I could recall briefly that Xavier wasn’t kind in words with my friends.

The memory flashed in my mind, accompanied by a pained headache.

I let out a deep sigh as I picked up my books from my locker after going through my timetable for the day.

I had to avoid Ziva, Adrian and Silver. Especially Silver. He must have felt bad about what happened.

"More like you should apologise to them and prepare to confront Sylvie instead," Javelin suggested.

Agreeing with her, I gave a simple nod and headed to class. As soon as I entered, about three minutes later, the other students filed in, as did our professor.

Professor Ravyn had barely stepped fully into the class when the door opened again.

A hush fell almost immediately, the low chatter dying out as every head turned toward the entrance.

Principal Vale walked in.

That alone was enough to straighten backs and silence even the most restless students. Her presence always carried that quiet authority that made it impossible to ignore her.

Professor Ravyn stepped aside slightly, giving her the floor without a word.

"Good morning, students," Principal Vale began, her voice calm yet commanding, echoing lightly through the room.

"Good morning, ma’am," we responded in unison.

I shifted slightly in my seat, adjusting my grip on my notebook, though my attention was fully on her. Something about this felt... like she hadn’t just stopped by for a casual announcement.

"There will be a brief change to the academic schedule," she continued, her sharp gaze sweeping across the room. "As many of you are aware, the annual mock tournament between our institution and Lunar Crescent High is approaching."

A few murmurs broke out at that, excitement flickering through the class.

Prestige Lunar Academy versus Lunar Crescent High.

It wasn’t just a competition. It was a statement, strength, strategy, dominance, and reputation in preparation for the final competition at the end of the year.

"And in preparation," she went on, "we will be conducting a one-week exchange program with Lunar Crescent High."

That got everyone’s attention. Now the whispers grew louder, curiosity laced with anticipation.

An exchange?

"Why, you may ask," she glanced at everyone, particularly making eye contact with me, "to share ideas, and see the challenge also."

I swallowed. It was good, I could see the challenge in person.

"For that duration," she continued smoothly, "they are sending their best, and we also shall send one of our top students to represent Prestige Lunar Academy, while we, in turn, will be hosting their student from Lunar Crescent High."

I felt Javelin stir faintly within me, her awareness sharpening. Something about this... mattered.

"After careful consideration," Principal Vale continued, glancing briefly toward the front row, "and a review of recent combat assessments..." My fingers tightened slightly around my pen. "Vice President Kai has been selected as our exchange representative."

A ripple moved through the class. I glanced instinctively toward Kai. He didn’t look surprised. Of course, he didn’t.

"His final score," she added, "narrowly surpassed the next candidate. Eight point seven followed closely by Silver Blaze at eight point six."

That made my chest tighten. Silver was so close. And for a brief second, Silver crossed my mind—his smile, the way he had shielded me without hesitation at the party, the look in his eyes before he walked away.

I glanced at him from the corner of my eye and caught him stealing a glance in my direction, too, before looking back at Principal Vale.

I pushed the thought aside.

Kai rose from his seat calmly, buttoning his blazer as if this had always been expected. There was no hesitation in his movements, no visible reaction beyond acceptance.

"Report to my office after this class for further briefing," Principal Vale instructed.

"Yes, ma’am," Kai replied.

He didn’t look at anyone as he stepped out. The door closed behind him with a soft click.

"And now..." Principal Vale continued, her tone shifting slightly, just enough to make something in my chest tighten. "We will be welcoming our exchange student from Lunar Crescent High."

The room went completely still. Javelin stirred again, sharper this time. A strange unease curled low in my stomach. I didn’t know why.

"Please, come in," Principal Vale instructed, turning slightly toward the door.

For a second... nothing happened. Then, the handle turned with a soft click as the door opened, and everything inside me went still.

I didn’t know what I expected, but it wasn’t this. The first thing I noticed wasn’t his face.

It was the way he walked in—slow, controlled like he owned the space without needing to prove it.

Each step was measured, deliberate, carrying a presence that shifted the entire atmosphere of the room.

My breath caught as Javelin went silent, then my heart slammed violently against my ribs.

Once. Twice. Hard enough that it hurt.

What...?

My fingers curled tightly against the edge of my desk as a sudden, unfamiliar heat spread through my chest, racing through my veins in a way that felt nothing like the drug from before.

This was different, and he stepped fully into the room. Everything inside me snapped. My breath hitched sharply, my vision narrowing as the world around me blurred at the edges.

No. No... that’s not—

My pulse spiked violently, my body reacting before my mind could catch up. Javelin surged forward in that familiar voice.

"Our mate’s here."

"Welcome, everyone, Drake Onyx."
