Chapter 227 - 113: 3-Party Exchange Meeting
The entire environment was a world apart from Dongqi University.
Since it was a three-way exchange, the official event was scheduled for tomorrow.
Today was for everyone to gather ahead of time.
The bus from Dongqi University had just arrived when the shuttle from Eastern Martial Body also pulled up.
More than twenty people filed out of the vehicle.
More than twice the size of the Dongqi University team.
"Hey, Yongxiang, my boy! I’m over here!"
Seeing the other team’s members get off the bus, Zhao Rui immediately spotted the cocky Luo Yongxiang.
"Who?"
Luo Yongxiang froze for a moment, then looked in the direction of the voice. After just one glance, he hurriedly turned his head away, pretending not to have seen.
"Luo Yongxiang! Over here! Look over here, I’m right here!"
Seeing that he was pretending not to notice, Zhao Rui raised his voice.
Everyone on both teams looked over.
Luo Yongxiang’s face flushed red with irritation. He had no choice but to walk over to Zhao Rui, breathing heavily.
The few people on the Eastern Martial Body team who had participated in the joint training camp all showed strange expressions.
"He’s really got Yongxiang pinned down, huh!"
As one of the top talents among the first-year students, Luo Yongxiang carried the hopes of Eastern Martial Body for the next few years.
But to see him like this!
The few of them couldn’t help but shake their heads.
"Hey, my man! It’s been over a month. I’ve missed you dearly!"
Zhao Rui chuckled, reaching out to wrap an arm around Luo Yongxiang’s shoulder.
"We’re not that close!"
Luo Yongxiang’s figure swayed slightly, and he shuffled his feet, trying to evade the overly familiar gesture.
But before he could execute the move, Zhao Rui’s arm was already resting intimately on his shoulder.
It was almost as if he had actively moved into Zhao Rui’s arm.
"You’re breaking my heart, talking such nonsense."
Zhao Rui said with a beaming smile.
Luo Yongxiang’s expression stiffened slightly. He no longer had the capacity to care about Zhao Rui’s almost flirtatious advance.
Right now, his mind was filled with the image of Zhao Rui’s earlier move—a reach that seemed to blot out the sky, impossible to evade.
He considered countless countermeasures, but it seemed none of them could break free from his control.
’He’s gotten stronger again!’
Luo Yongxiang’s eyes widened slightly, his heart filled with a chilling awe.
"First time we’re strangers, second time we’re friends. This is our second time meeting, isn’t it? We’ll chat later!"
Zhao Rui smiled, released his arm, and then leisurely returned to his own team.
Luo Yongxiang stood stunned for a moment. He only snapped out of it after Zhao Rui had walked away, and then he started walking back.
"Yongxiang, is he really that strong now?"
Seeing Luo Yongxiang return, Fu Shaohu, a member of the Eastern Martial Body team, couldn’t help but walk over and ask, puzzled.
Anyone with eyes could see that the two weren’t close, yet Luo Yongxiang still went over.
There was only one reason he would have gone over: he was completely outmatched.
Otherwise, with his proud nature and sharp tongue, there’s no way he would have stayed silent.
"Yeah. He’s much stronger than me now. And way stronger than you, senior!"
Luo Yongxiang said with a frown.
Fu Shaohu: "..."
’Damn it, if I say one more word to you, I’m a dog!’
’You said he couldn’t beat you before. Only now do I realize that even an "honest guy" like you knows how to talk big, senior!’
’I’m not listening, I’m not listening, la la la...’
Without another word, Fu Shaohu turned and walked far away.
The arrival of the two schools’ Martial Arts Teams was, naturally, met with a warm welcome from the hosts.
After a simple welcoming ceremony and some pleasantries, they were shown to their accommodations and meals were arranged.
Their accommodations were at the campus guesthouse, which was basically a hotel, and the environment was quite nice.
Meals were a group buffet at a set time.
After all, the official event didn’t start until tomorrow, so today was considered free time.
As for the coaches, they were all old acquaintances who had known each other for years, so of course they weren’t going to eat at some buffet.
Instead, at the enthusiastic invitation of Ocean University’s head coach, they went out to enjoy a proper "reception."
The coaches all went out for a feast.
How could the team members just sit around idly?
They didn’t know when they’d be leaving after the competition. If they left the same day, wouldn’t they miss their chance to have some fun?
So, Zhao Rui, Qin Rui, and the others put their heads together and sent out an invitation in the group chat.
Little Fishing Port Restaurant off-campus, time for a seafood feast.
Hearing his suggestion, everyone from the third-year seniors to the new first-year, Shen Xinzhu, was fired up.
Not long after the message was sent, everyone had gathered in the hotel lobby.
And so, the large, boisterous group headed off campus.
Just as the group had walked off campus and were waiting for taxis by the roadside...
The people from Eastern Martial Body came out too.
The two groups glanced at each other, a silent, mutual understanding passing between them.
After a short wait, Zhao Rui and his group got in their cars and hurried to the Little Fishing Port Restaurant, where they began to feast.
They had a competition the next day, and although it was just an exchange match, no one drank any alcohol.
The meal lasted for over an hour. After devouring a tableful of seafood and leaving behind a mountain of shells, the group left the restaurant, still feeling like they hadn’t had enough.
"Should we go check out the beach?"
Qin Rui checked the time. Since they were already out, why not go for a stroll?
Zhao Rui glanced around at the group. Seeing that everyone was on board with the idea, he nodded.
"Let’s go!"
So the group turned around and headed toward the beach on the other side of the restaurant.
「Half an hour later.」
The sea breeze caressed their faces as they stood by the churning waves. Zhao Rui and the others gazed out at the vast ocean under the night sky.
Their spirits lifted.
"I’ve heard of a Martial Art called Boundless Ocean, where one’s Inner Strength is as vast as the sea. Have any of you ever seen it?"
Zhao Rui asked curiously.
"I’ve never seen it, but I’ve heard of it. They say people who practice that Cultivation have an endless well of Inner Strength, as vast as the ocean."
Wang Zhe, a third-year and Zhao Rui’s former captain, spoke up.
"We’ve eaten our fill. Everyone, watch the sea, feel the power of nature for a bit, and then we’ll head back."
Zhao Rui nodded and said.
Hearing this, everyone found a spot, sat down quietly, and watched the waves crash against the sand and rocks.
Just as everyone was sitting quietly, tempering their minds, a series of panicked shouts suddenly came from a distance.
The sounds were chaotic and panicked, causing Zhao Rui and the others to jump to their feet and peer into the distance.
They saw numerous tourists on the beach frantically running toward the shore, and behind them, a huge wave, a good two or three meters high, was rising up.
The giant wave had appeared without a sound.
Zhao Rui’s heart skipped a beat. ’No way, is something happening again?’
’There aren’t any mountains here!’
